Pepper Steak with Onion. Added Sauteed Broccoli. With Vegetable Fried Rice

I went to Best Wok Thursday night July 3rd, I ordered the pepper steak with broccoli and fried rice. I sat down to eat once I got home and first thing I noticed was there were more vegetables than anything. I wasn't bothered since I do like vegetables but after tasting the meat I was now bothered. The meat had no actual meat texture and the best thing I can describe it as was a fatty, chewy, rubbery texture. It was every piece of meat in the plate with this texture. I called the restaurant to see if I could just replace the entree with chicken. A lady answers the phone once I began talking she is instantly rude, and very short. When I let her know that the meat was fatty, rubbery texture she begun saying "it's meat, we only use beef". I'm now telling her I know it's beef but the texture is not edible so am I able to get something different. She says no! "We don't do remakes!" I say okay well can I get a refund. This is when she began spewing racist remarks "you black people" "it's always something with people" "you always want something for nothing". I politely got in my car and took their plate of food back to their doorstep. Just wanted to let the community know who they are giving their business and money to. This was so unacceptable and unexpected. I have eaten at this establishment millions of times and never had an issue. They will never get another red cent of my money.

This is my go to Chinese restaurant. We always order pick up to go, and that's what most people do. They either have it delivered through a service or take it to go for pick up. My favorite dishes so far are the following: General Tao's chicken with fried rice; Bo Bo Platter (ribs, chicken on a stick, spring rolls, crab Rangoon, and chicken wings; Wonton soup; egg rolls; and the fried chicken wings with pork rice. Their prices are very reasonable and portions are large. I usually have plenty of leftovers for the next day. My most recent order was the chicken wings with pork fried rice. The wings are crispy and have a flavorful crust. It comes with 4 very large fried wings on a bed of rice. I had enough for leftovers and the dish was $8.75. Because they get a lot of to go orders, the staff are friendly but efficient.

Good food at decent prices. I had chicken and veggies and spring rolls. All were equally delicious. Quick friendly service. I highly recommend you this restaurant!

My husband and I placed an order and picked it up. It was so hot and fresh when we got it home! Everything was very tasty. I loved the egg rolls! We will definitely be back!

I've never been inside the restaurant since I always order to be delivered. The service is always quick, the delivery driver is super nice. The food is great! My favorites are dumplings- sooo good!, wonton soup, General tso chicken, fried rice and recently tasted their bbq spare ribs- and just like the previous review, they were finger licking good! Portions are huge and cheap prices!

When it comes to Chinese, I have a decent amount of options in my area. Best Wok, however, is the only place that delivers to me since it's seven minutes away from the house. I love their BBQ spare ribs. They're ample in size and amazing in taste. It isn't a struggle eating the meat because it's tender and comes right off the bone. I must caution that the ribs are best enjoyed when they're piping hot. The steamed dumplings are another winning dish. Soft, flavor-packed, and fun to eat with chopsticks, they easily fill you up. Like the ribs, you have to eat them while they're fresh from the stove. While I'm impressed with their delivery, my only issue with them is that they staple the takeout carts to seal them shut. Pretty dangerous since the staple could get lost in the food. All in all, Best Wok offers no-frills, wallet-friendly Chinese eats.

Staff is rude. I ordered 2 meals and she gave me 2 packets of soy sauce. I asked for more and she said no. I don't like dry Chinese food.

Of course you do. My family and I used to live just a few hundred yards away in that subdivision. You'd see my number pop up and I know there was a moment of quiet respect in the kitchen. A pause. A nod. "Ah yes... the big order." You knew my name. The delivery drivers knew my dogs. The dogs knew the delivery drivers. There was harmony. I tipped well--especially considering the short drive. I like to think those tips helped cover gas, morale, and maybe a chapter or two of a kid's college textbook. You were part of our routine. Our tradition. Our emotional support takeout. Then... we moved. Far away. Outside the radius. I know. I know. It must've been hard. I assume there was a brief meeting. Maybe a whiteboard. Someone sighed. Dreams were recalculated. But I'm writing today with good news. We're back. Not as close as before--but close enough to smell the General Tso if the wind is right. Unfortunately, we are now approximately six tragic miles outside your official delivery radius. Which brings me to my proposal. Could we add a special rider to our phone orders? Nothing crazy. Just a small, unofficial, mutually beneficial understanding where: We always over-order We always over-tip No one speaks of this again And happiness returns to the universe I'm asking for a friend. Really. I do not need an intervention. I can stop anytime. But I miss the General Tso. And my lovely wife misses the wontons. And some cravings are bigger than geography. Then we had the Cantonese Chow Mein with crunchy noodles, vegetables, tender meat, chicken, large shrimp, and scallops; so good and honestly addictive. We also ordered the Egg Foo Young, which came out as giant pancake‑style omelets filled with bean sprouts, pork, and shrimp, absolutely delicious. And their chili oil is excellent! super fragrant and adds the perfect kick. We definitely want to come back and try more dishes; the food feels authentic, fresh, and well‑made. Recommended.

The Moo Goo Gai Pan even has bamboo chutes! All the waiters a waitresses are really nice, never getting annoyed by the complications of your orders. They even let my very picky brother change out the sweet and sour chicken for soup, and the fried rice for white rice, never even a single frown or glare. Also, everything there looks so authentic! When you walk in the door, there are two happy Buddha statues; one small and gold sitting on a table, and one large on the way to the seating area. Rumor says, if you rub the large statue's belly, you get good luck! The seating places are exquisite as well. They even have a wall made of rock!

There are plenty of Vietnamese restaurants in the area, but I felt Basil House deserves a go. Essentially a hole in the wall, it's located along Palmer Highway not too far from where it meets 146. The building may look small, but the interior begs to differ somewhat. This is the third time I use "Vietnamese," but what's so unique about this eatery is that it also offers Thai dishes. I decided to do both for my first visit; I ordered a Vietnamese grilled pork rice plate and Thai chicken skewers. My orders arrived at my table at the same time, which I thought was nice. Regarding the skewers, the chicken was pretty sizable. It was so tender that it came off the stick after a bite or two. I must admit it was dry, but still a nice way to start a meal. As for the main star of the show, the rice plate, I have nothing but immense love for it. The kitchen staff wasn't stingy with the amount of meat they placed on the plate. Tender just like the chicken, the grilled pork carried a sweet taste that got even better when dipped in the accompanying fish sauce. Oh, I forgot to mention the skewers and the rice plate had cucumbers, which raised the tangy factor. I capped everything off with fried banana and vanilla ice cream. A man who I assumed was the owner of the place acted as my server. He did an outstanding job, refilling my drink and giving me extra napkins. By my estimate, Basil House is the closest Vietnamese restaurant to my house. No need to travel at least ten miles if I want my fill in ice plates, spring rolls, or even pho.
