I am so sorry to leave this bad review - the owners seem very nice. But honestly this is the worst…read moreIndian food I've ever had and is a complete dump. The neighboring businesses yell at you if you park in front of them in unmarked spaces. The food was so bad. Bland palak paneer, overly spicy tandoori chicken, and the butter chicken tastes exactly like canned tomato soup and not in a good way. We couldn't stomach any of the food. Very few customers on a Saturday at lunch so everyone must know it's bad. I feel bad for them I hope they find new cooks and pay for a redesign or at least a paint job.

I found out later that Thursdays are apparently when they have the Chinese buffet? The fried rice and chow mein were just okay to me but I did like the mixed vegetable dish and the egg drop soup. The chai was good and I also enjoyed the rice pudding for dessert. If you like Chinese-Indian food, the Thursday buffet might be worth a try. I came in not knowing about it so I was a bit disappointed since I was expecting more Indian/South Asian food. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was casual and lively. It seems like the Thursday Chinese buffet is really popular because it was packed when I came. If you're trying to go for dinner it might be good to call ahead. If I'm in the area I might stop by to see what they offer for the lunch buffet.

HONORING WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH…read more I have been intending to try this place since forever. Since it's Women's History Month, this visit came at the right time! Howzatt is a family owned Indo/Pak restaurant and it's operated by the very beautiful and lovely Noshaba Shahid! Upon entering the restaurant, Noshaba greeted me with the friendliest and warmest greeting. She welcomed me in and asked me if I was dining in or placing a to-go order. I told her that I wanted to place a to-go order. As a result, she handed me a menu, graciously lead me to the waiting area, told me to have a seat, and make myself comfortable while I browse the menu. I could feel the genuine warmth in her smile and the welcome that she gave me. This made me comfortable and ready to spend my money, lol. I highly appreciated the great customer hospitality! Furthermore, as I browsed through the menu, I noticed that they have an extensive selection of vegan and vegetarian options. They also have a variety of rice options which made it difficult for me to choose because I'm a rice lover! Although I didn't try their fried rice this go round, I will definitely put that on my list for the next visit. Moreover, I ended up ordering the chicken biryani, chicken malai kebab, garlic naan, and butter naan. I spent about $35 in total and it was well worth it! It was enough food to feed three people. The chicken biryani was full of delicious and robust Indian/Pakistaní spices and seasonings. However, it's brutally spicy in my opinion, so if you don't do spicy, then do not order this dish. The chicken was tender and lacking greasiness which is an A+ in my opinion. The chicken malai kebab consisted of white meat and it was tender and full of flavor. I appreciate the fact that the food was not salty but was perfectly seasoned making the meal enjoyable. I highly enjoyed the authenticity of the flavors in each and every glorious delectable bite that I took. As for the naan, it was delicious as well but the only complaint I have is that it was burned on the bottom of some of the pieces. Other than that, it was delicious! Overall, I highly recommend this establishment to anyone who enjoys delicious authentic Indo/Pak Cuisine! The ambience is nice and quiet; very relaxing. The customer hospitality is impeccable. I noticed that Noshaba was extremely attentive to the guests who were dining in as I was waiting for my order. She even informed me that it would be about a 20-25 minutes wait for my food due to the fact that they prepare each order fresh, apologizing for the wait time. I was totally fine with that, especially since she informed me and brought me up to speed instead of letting me wait around wandering what is taking so long. Also, they informed me that they will be converting this establishment into a buffet pretty soon! How cool is that! I will definitely patronize with them in the future and highly recommended them! You will not be disappointed!

I see a lot of spice boxes in this location that I have not seen anywhere else. There is a rice shortage in the market? No problem, they have a separate ROOM with just rice in it! There is a Bengali restaurant inside the grocery store which needs improvement. I will give them a few more months to settle down and check them out again. I literally got almost everything off the menu and there is more to be desired in taste and flavor. Plenty of parking. The owners are very nice!

Little better than cheating…read more Today I ordered 4 chicken roast and half tray polao. While i made the order the guy who took the order smiled. I asked why but he didn't reply clearly. Afterwards, he asked if I want my roast and polao separately- then I asked back if the roast comes with polao by itself. He said yes- then I said that I don't need the extra half tray polao and it would be good with just chicken roast. He clearly agreed with me. A few mins later, after checking out I realized that I was charged 26 dollars for roast and another 35 dollars for the polao. I asked the guy why he changed like that. he said he thought that I would like it this way. Then I asked him what is the price for roast with polao- he said it would be close to 10. Then why the hell I was charged 66 dollars for food of 40 dollars? Also, he clearly neglected my request not to add the half tray polao to the list. Another disclaimer: I overheard the owner was scolding the guy in the kitchen saying why you smiled and how they will do business like this. , after I changed the order. Note that I was a regular customer there for last 4/5 months, even then they will behave like this.
