Nobi Public House - Pork chop - Gastropubs Near Me - Webster, Texas

Nobi is a casual Vietnamese fusion restaurant with an extensive beer selection. On Tuesdays they have $10 pork chops that come with a 16oz beer, which is an amazing deal! I ordered the Nobi dog, Nobi egg sandwich, and the bittersweet sundae. I was initially hesitant to order the Nobi dog, but my doubts were immediately quelled with the first bite. The Nobi dog was a standout item with the perfect balance of flavors and textures. The savory Kosher beef frank is complimented by the sweet and salty chargrilled pork, pickled carrots and daikon, and spicy sriracha mayo and jalapenos. The crunchy pickled vegetables and creamy mayo stand out against the tender pork and beef frank. I would definitely reorder the Nobi dog at a future visit. Unfortunately, the Nobi egg sandwich was only mediocre and left and impression no more than the simply the sum of its parts. The chargrilled pork was flavorful and egg had a pleasant fluffy texture, but the sandwich as a whole tasted rather boring and uninteresting, especially compared to the Nobi dog. The bittersweet sundae was a stout brownie with vanilla gelato, covered in whipped cream and was the lowest point of this meal, and I would recommend against ordering it. In my opinion, there was entirely too much whipped cream, which was foamy and runny and had a metallic off-note, perhaps from the can it likely came from. After digging through the mountain of whipped cream, I was further disappointed by the texture of the brownie, which had an unpleasant eggy taste and texture. The vanilla gelato was only okay, and did little to salvage this disappointing dessert. Despite its shortcomings, Nobi's service was excellent and attentive. Even on a crowded Tuesday dinner, our waiter frequently checked in on our party. The restaurant is fairly spacious and can accommodate large (8+ people) parties, however it may be a challenge if you plan to visit on a Tuesday night. Overall I would return to Nobi's, specifically for the Nobi dog or the amazing $10 pork chop deal and to explore their wide selection of beers. Aside from that, I would be willing to try other items, but I definitely would not reorder the Nobi egg sandwich nor the bittersweet sundae. read more

Really awesome place, service was fantastic, food was amazing with many options so there's a little something for everyone. A good bit of the ceiling tiles are water stained, it didn't take away from The food or service, just from the aesthetics. Freshen up the tiles and this is an A+ all day read more

Great place if you're craving Asian Food in Webster area and don't want to drive into Houston. Ordered: - Wings - We always get this every time we go as our appetizer. We usually like to get the sweet chili sauce on the side. Wings are fried to perfection - Pork Fries - Didn't stand out to me compared to the other dishes. - Spring Rolls - Satisfied the craving. Would get again. - Wonton Soup - Nobi egg sandwich - Nobi dog - Vermicelli Pork with egg Roll read more

Wanted something nice for dinner while in the area the other night and noticed they had wine & beer. that's always a winner in our books so we stopped by and the place was hopping to be sure. Got some egg rolls for appetizers which were fresh and tasty to the palette! our plates came to our table within a reasonable amount of time and the Wife and I enjoyed our dinner with a couple spirits as well. All in all, food was really good and the company was amazing. we'll be back for sure! service guys are top shelf as well! read more

When you sell a growler you must expect that the customer will want you to fill it. Manager instructed bar staff not to fill my growler while a party was going on on the deck. I talked with the two bartenders and the manager about filling my growler who still refused because they had to attend to the party. "The amount of time you three have spent refusing the refill, the growler could have been filled at least twice." Never been back Eejits. read more

Decided to try this place for dinner. The menu is promising and perhaps we should have ordered different things but I was very underwhelmed. I ordered the salad with shaking beef and my husband ordered the fried rice. The fried rice was meh, I could have whipped up a better dish right in that kitchen if I had my way. The salad was better but they were very heavy handed with the onions and I literally had to pick them out coz it was just overpowering the entire dish. My husband said he's had their bahn mi for lunch and it's solid so I'm willing to give them another try but for now, it's a 3 star review from me. read more

I was stating to get really dissatisfied with Vietnamese food. So many low quality spots Serving low quality food. You will not find that here! I was blown away by the top notch quality and over great flavor! Chris was a top notch professional and did a great job at explaining the menu and making great suggestions for us! Food: Vietnamese chargrilled pork sandwich was great! Every single bite was full of flavor and made to absolute perfection probably the best bah mi I've ever had. The meat was so fresh and delicious. They bread was crispy and flavorful. Simply top notch. The home made egg rolls were top notch. Every crispy bite was amazing. My girl got the nobi hot dog. My god. Top notch. I will definitely come back for years to come. ****One thing you must do is fix your soda machine or offer canned or bottle sodas. Your fountain drinks or horrible! I could drop a star for that because there is no reason to serve lack luster fountain drinks. Simply fix it or offer cans or bottles. **** Other than that this is simply a 5 star spot. The food was great. Top notch customer service from Chris. I will be back soon! Thank you all for serving quality food and not cutting corners when it comes to fresh quality food like so many other Vietnamese Asian spots do in Houston Texas read more

Always a great dinner option. Clean, solid service. AWESOME food- love their spring rolls (and other food, of course). I will always recommend this place. **However, warning for all of those with peanut allergies. Even when you order togo and say no peanuts, CHECK in the food not just on top. I made that mistake and had an allergic reaction. Nothing against this establishment, just triple check your food. read more

I got Nobis to go and ordered the tofu deluxe. I always enjoy tofu bahn mi's but I think I was expecting something completely different. I assumed the sandwich would include veggies too, but the tofu one only came with tofu onions and jalapeños. I tried some of my sisters veggie ham bahn mi and hers came with carrots cilantro and the rest of the veggies I expected. Overall I'd go for their vegetarian ham sandwich. Today was our first visit to Nobi. We came because we had some business nearby and we have not been to this area in a long time. Rachel at the Subaru dealer recommended Nobie as a place that would be friendly for our dog. Indeed they have a patio in the front, and he has enjoyed sitting here. We of course enjoyed our delicious meal of different noodle dishes. Also got excellent service. read more

This is always a great place to eat and drink. The environment is quiet and laid back and the service is outstanding. The egg rolls are amazing, the right amount of crunch and the filling is delicious. I've never had anything but an awesome experience here. The craft beers are incredible too. Occasionally they make one named Kalma, get it quick because it goes fast. Put this place on your go to list. You will be glad you did. read more

Nobi has been a staple for me for a long time! All of the connecting restaurants, like Hyde Park and the Gelato Spot are amazing too!

Came in on a Sunday late afternoon after visiting the Space Center and needed food in that awkward "linner" time, only to have one of the best banh mi's in town! Parking was easy with the big lot in the front, and the beer list was tempting although I'll have to return for that another time when I'm not driving. Fast service, clean interior, and solid prices. read more

Came here on a Sunday at 11:30 am for their Sunday Pho Special. Note that you can be seated and start ordering at 11:30, but the pho isn't served until 12! It was definitely worth the wait. The pho broth was so flavorful and came out perfectly steaming. I appreciated their take on traditional pho with the addition of fried pork bits. The only thing missing was bean sprouts! The spring rolls were also delicious. I loved that they used chargrilled pork. The peanut sauce was rather bland and could have used more Hoisin and Sriracha, which I added on the side. Overall a solid place for Vietnamese fusion! read more

Great variety of beers, mixed with Indian bar food. Great for a snack sandwich or an Indian curry .

My husband and I just went to Nobi Public House for a late lunch, the place is spacious and nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. We ordered shrimp and pork Spring rolls, this came pretty quick, the grilled flavor of the pork really stands out, great peanut sauce. We also had Entree of shaking beef, comes with fried or white rice and fried egg, the egg was cooked to perfection with runny yolk, and the meat is super tender and flavorful; have a little peanut sauce with this and thank me later ;) staff was so nice they splitted our shaking beef in 2 plates with a fried egg each. They have a great selection of beers, I like this place. Don't skip out on the spring rolls! read more

Love this place. The only downside I saw is one side of the bar was used as storage so you couldn't sit there, I had to wipe the table off, and the silverware is Dollar Tree quality. Service was prompt. Plates, silverware, napkins were delivered along with water. My Tasty AF was delivered quickly and ice cold. We had the Fried Pork appy with their delish dipping sauce, Pork Vermicelli Bowl, and Pork Bahn Mi with a fried egg. DELICIOUS and served hot from the kitchen! Can't wait to go back! read more

I've been eating these guys' food since they opened up their first location. I have literally had everything over the last 20 years and have NEVER been disappointed. Perfect food every time and amazing beer selection every time. Staff knows their menu very well and are helpful making suggestions

Gosh what a craft beer selection!! We had the shakin beef 3 different ways - rice, salad & vermicelli and all were delicious. I had the salad and it was my fav. I had a Sauvignon blanc on tap and it was perfect. The guys had beers and loved them as well. Also got crab chips - new to me and my son loved them. Not my jam, but the guys liked them. Service was great. Friendly and professional. Love the ambiance here. Very clean and crisp modern decor. We were at the bar then a table and it was wonderful. read more

I can't wait to come here again! Service- so comforting and kind! Ambience- really nice inside and out Drinks- long list of different beers. I tried the pear ale and it was so yummy. Thai tea- my friend didn't like it too much lol but it was our only complaint. Combination noodles- the presentation was so nice, I got so much more than I thought and jt was yummy. I wish it came with a sauce but our service for us hoisin and it worked perfectly. Shaking beef and noodles- the shaking beef is shaken in garlic butter and my friend loved it. It was her first time having noodles that were cold but she liked it and enjoyed the fresh veggies. Thai chili wings- probably our favorite out of everything. They didn't last long at all. Plz come here!! read more

Tip: you can use the Toast app to place your order ahead of time for pick up w/out the third party fees. It's been forever since I've been here, but everything was still as good as I remembered. In addition to the items in the pics we also got the wonton soup. Dabbled in everything. Wonton soup had a rich "clear" broth with plenty of wontons, extra noodles, and chicken. Beef was tender in the shaking beef. I didn't love the sauce as much as I wanted to (but not bad- just be sure to taste before you pour on top). Spring rolls and peanut sauce, can't go wrong. Chargrilled chicken and fried rice was also good with good portions. Overall can't wait to come back and try some other items. read more

Must order 1. Butter Garlic Wings They only make it when you order it. It takes about 10-15 minutes to serve. But it's very fresh. The taste is super good. Crispy and fragrant. 2. Pork Fries Have you ever seen fries that are super crispy with cheese underneath? Then you should come here. There are chili in it. You can order it without chili. It's also one of my must-order dishes. 3. Fried Pork Super crispy, sweet and delicious, tender meat. I fell in love with it the first time I ordered it. Super Asian taste This restaurant has Vietnamese rice noodles on Sundays. It's especially famous. On Sundays, it's usually sold out. There are a lot of people in the morning. Friends who like to drink beer can come and take a look. There is a full page of beer list. There are two walls full of fresh beer alone. The bar is very large. read more

I came here for weekday lunch. There were a good amount of people dining in. I walked in and walked towards the bar where I saw a sign stating "Please seat yourself". I sat down and within a few minutes I was greeted by the server who came with water for me. I tried the Thai iced tea, and it was delicious! It was perfect amount of sweetness used. I also tried the Pork Banh Mi. The meat was juicy and I could taste the char flavor. It also came with pickled carrots, cilantro, and jalapeño. The bun was crispy as well. I would definitely come back with friends and try their drinks at the bar, as it looks like they have many great options. This place is nicely decorated and would be perfect place to go with friends/family and catch up! read more

Food--pretty standard, spring rolls, not bad....the curry was good. Ambiance--kind of family style and bright lights, which i wasn't expecting from an alleged "gastropub" If I judged this place on service alone, it would be a zero. Numerous times I sat there with an empty glass---both times at min 10-15 minutes--and I still had to flag the waiter down. I finally just ordered 2 beers at once because it was so bad. Pro--good selection of beers that they rotate weekly i believe Con--the service and ambiance read more

Finally stopped in for lunch after eyeing this place for years!! It was everything I hoped it would be! We started with the spring rolls and egg rolls, both were fresh and absolutely delish! The spring rolls were fresh and flavorful while the egg rolls were hot and so crispy!! Next up was the shaking beef vermicelli and a banh me sandwich with egg saturated in a yummy garlic butter with a flaky bun! The good was great and I can understand why this place is packed for lunch! Price point was average, about $50-$60 for 2 ppl, multiple dishes and one thai tea... service was ok, not awesome but not bad... otherwise; great food and definitely recommend!! read more

After going to the dog park nearby I looked up places with a dog friendly patio and this restaurant had highly rated reviews. Although the patio space isn't the most spacious, it was still nice with the fan they had outside. I asked for a dog water bowl and an employee came out with one and a milkbone for my pup. He and I greatly appreciated it. I ordered egg rolls and a pork banh mi. The egg rolls came out piping hot with a side of nuoc cham dipping sauce. Honestly I think I could've just had two but they were so good. My sandwich was great, the bread was crisp on the outside, loaded with vegetables and the jalapeños inside were actually spicy. The pork was tender and seasoned well. I'll come back if I'm in the area. read more
