I love this place and remember taking a chance on it a few years ago when I was trying to decide where to eat. It's truly such a good spot for pizza and pasta and reminds of me of Jupiter & Pizza Waffles in Sugar Land in terms of atmosphere and vibe. They have plenty of unique options for pizza which I really look forward to trying them all. They also have some other unique menu items too. If I lived closer here, I'd definitely be visiting more often. We had the pickle pizza with pepperoni added on it as well as the totally baked Bolognese. Everything comes out hot and fresh, and the pizza is always as good as I remember it. I had the Bolognese for the first time this visit and it was delicious. A little on the heavy side but it's meaty and creamy with the cheese. Their house-made ranch is something else, I'm more of a bleu cheese guy but my girlfriend likes ranch better so we got that but I gotta say that ranch is reallyyyy good so I'd recommend trying that with your pizza too. We enjoy wood fired pizza and were looking forward to our lunch at Hyde Park. We were a little disappointed. There is seating out front. I think it's all picnic table seating. The seating inside is comfortable, but there were a few distractions. The tables with the aluminum-type chairs were pock marked, as if they'd been water damaged. There appeared to be a few newer tables and chairs for larger groups and there was a nice couch and coffee table setup at the front of the restaurant. The ceiling, which was black, also appeared to have water damage. Our server came to the table with a smile. She was helpful and took great care of us. We started with a Chop Salad. When we were finished our server cleared the table and brought us clean plates before the pizza arrived. Top notch service. The Chop Salad was easily enough for us to share. The lettuce was fresh and the blue cheese dressing was good. There was a lot of real crumbled bacon. It wasn't outstanding, but it was a tasty start to our meal. We ordered the Busy Bee pizza // house red sauce, fresh mozzarella, soppresatta, basil, chili, goat cheese, hot honey. The pizza was not cut well. There were steak knives on the table and we did our best to finish the cutting that was started in the kitchen area. The crust was thin, which left more room for the flavor of the toppings. Unfortunately, the pizza was dry because there was very little sauce. There was not much mozzarella, but there was a ton of goat cheese. Each of the eight pieces had one and sometimes two pieces of the soppresatta. The basil flavor was nice and I enjoyed the hot honey. Mark thought the pizza was too sweet. The overwhelming flavor of the pizza was goat cheese and honey. It was just okay overall. I did enjoy the crust ends, which captured the wood fired flavor. It was tender and delicious. We don't live in Texas, but visit often to see family. We most likely won't recommend dining here with our Texas family. read more

We've been meaning to try Hyde Park for such a long time now, but always went in another direction. They have a great menu with lots of options to choose from, but we came for the pizza! And oh my god! What a great pizza! They ferment their dough, giving the crust this airy soft annnd crunchy cornicione, it has a good flavor and doesn't leave you feeling bloated. The place is beautiful, with nice ambiance, and service was so quick! They have wonderful combinations, but we went with half pepper pepperoni amazing!!! With their fantastic house made sauce, acidic Calabrian chilis and great greasy toasty pepperoni, 100% recommended! I looked on my bookmarks to see what was nearby and Hyde Park Kitchen was a pretty easy choice for my destination. I couldn't resist ordering a pizza... it was just too hard to pick one, so I opted for a Half Blanche Devereaux and Half Fungi. The fungi was excellent, the Blanche Deveraux was solid. In retrospect, I should have asked for no artichoke, but I did enjoy it, overall. I would not hesitate to come back here to try many of the other pizzas. But we also ordered the octopus and upgraded it to come with brussels sprouts. I am not one to exaggerate for the sake of shock value... so please believe me when I tell you that this was one of the worst dishes I have had in 2024. I do not have it in me to do this, but my Mom asked the waiter to please send it back. I'm happy to say that he did and he removed it from the bill, but I just cannot believe how poorly done it was. It was my first time here and I met a couple of friends for lunch. The Laetare Pinot Grigio was refreshing. I had a hard time deciding between the wedge and the spring mix salad. I ended up getting the spring mix which had blue cheese, candied pecans, dried cranberries, apples, and lemon vinaigrette. I added blackened shrimp to it. It was delicious! My friend and I visited the Space Center near by, and were looking for a place to eat after. YELP led us to this place! We first walked to Nobi next door, took a look at the menu. Then came to Hyde, and it was a good crowd and vibe, so we stayed. We didn't need a resy, but they have couches at the entrance if in case you need to wait for a table. We were quickly seated. They were about 70% full, good sign. I liked their open kitchen and the cozy looking bar. Service - I can't remember our server's name, but she was great. I didn't get the receipt, so I can't even look back on it. But she was young, bubbly, and full of suggestions. Food - we ordered the pasta and a pizza to split. And the pizza was very yum. We ordered half Blanche Devereaux and half pickle pizza, after consulting with our server. Both sides were very tasty, I would order this combo again. But the pickel pizza was my favorite. I am noticing that there is a deplorable lack of reviews mentioning the fact that this place has a pickle pizza. PICKLE PIZZA! It is hands-down my favorite "odd" pizza. It has garlic cream sauce and prosciutto on it too. The crust is chewy and flavorful. I LOVE THIS PIZZA and I haven't had it anywhere else. They have lots of other really good flavors and they'll let you do 1/2 and 1/2 as long as the sauce base is the same so you can try more flavors at once. The ambiance was nice and relaxing, the place was clean, the service was okay, and the food was right at okay as well. Our waiter started out fine but forgot to put in one of our entree orders and everybody got their food with the exception of (2) people, since one of the entrees was a shared pizza. That meant (3) people ate while (2) others waited an extra 20-25 minutes for their food. Also, after our food was delivered we never saw our waiter again and nobody got anymore refills of water, beer, etc. As for the food, I'd have to say the presentation was good and most of the dishes looked picturesque, but it all tasted just okay. I asked my family what they thought about the food, specifically if they'd like to come back for the same respective dish at a later time and they all said no.
