Great food & hospitable staff/proprieter! We enjoy the steak/baked potato night for $20 starting at 5pm on Mondays, usually splitting it with a triple appetizer platter. The jap poppers & onion rings are our go to. Definitely recommend checking this place out. Casual & low key with all the latest sports on multiple TVs. Covered outdoor seating also. read more

Carlos Beer Garden - Onion rings !! - Dive Bars Near Me - Webster, Texas

Very uncomfortable experience to say the least. Beer was cheap and cold, food was ok. But had some old guys on motorcycles talking bad about me with racial slurs. Then after the bar tenders heard they just let it happen. Also spoke to a regular im guessing and she explained that the owner let's his daughter get touched inappropriately without doing anything. So if you come here get ready for a bunch of weird old people and a establishment that has no backbone. read more

Fun little dive that I've been coming to for years - staff are friendly and attentive. I've never personally eaten here, but drinks are cheap and the vibes are fun. Love when the garage doors are open for nice weather! Plenty of tv's to watch sports. read more

Great atmosphere, terrific patrons, regulars, friendly bartenders, and good food are a few things you can find here. I think it's worth trying if you're just trying to have a chill night out. I don't live too far from here, and I came across this place one evening. You can grab a beer, sit anywhere (even outside), check out the food menu, watch a game, and just simply chill and make new friends at this icehouse like place. They have all the beers from Bud Light to Corona, and a few premiums as well. I tried the patty melt sandwich. The sourdough bread was very tasty, and I think it's a great snack to have if you're not trying to have too big of a dinner. They also have other sandwiches and burgers as well, nothing too fancy. So come on in, bring a neighbor, enjoy yourself, and check this place out. There's also seating outside, and plenty of parking out front. read more

Great food reasonably priced. Waitress was attractive and all of the staff were working in a ice house hot environment. This beer garden is iconic. I cannot wait for October Festivities read more

Carlos Beer Garden - Side - Dive Bars Near Me - Webster, Texas

Stumbled across this hidden gem while in Houston for my sister's wedding. Was greeted by some really cool, down to earth people. It was hot as hell in there so definitely was feeling for the workers in their but their attitude never wavered. They were still happy to provide excellent service. Now to the food. The waitress recommended the fish tacos. Which sounded good to me and didn't expect much quality being close to midnight on a Friday. I was completely surprised. The fish tacos were some of the best tacos I've tasted. Flavorful and with only two of them, I got full off the portions. When I return back to Houston this will be a place I will definitely return to. read more

I love this place- hands down one of my favorite spots in the area. Not only are the burgers great, the service is good and the beer is cold. I like to pop in here for lunch on Saturday's to sit at the bar. If you are coming during the week during crawfish season, sit outside and enjoy the crowds. No matter where you sit, the service won't be lacking. These ladies are on top of their game and always make sure the beers are flowing. The burgers are delish. I always opt for the cheeseburger and fries. The only thing here I've had, that I would pass on is the boudain balls. Try their fish tacos, southwest eggrolls and cheese sticks- great bar food! The parking normally isnt' an issue unless again, it's crawfish time. There is a small lot out front, and street parking all around. If you are looking for a traditional ice house, low key bar, with great food & service, this is the place. Play something on the jukebox, pull up a seat and stay awhile, you won't be disappointed! read more

Came today for the first time. Great choice!! Staff was extremely friendly and seemed like they were very happy to be there. My wife had a hamburger and I had the double. It took me a while but I figured out a way to get my mouth around it. Best burger I have had anywhere in a while and I eat a lot of burgers I had crinkle fries and my wife had the regular. They were both really good. The beer was very cold. Thanks guys. We will be back soon read more

This is the only combination bar and barber shop in the Clear Lake City area. The beer garden is your classic Texas ice house. Big rolling garage doors on the front and back open the joint up to the great outdoors in nice weather. Spacious interior, big old tables. Cheap beer, cheap pitchers. Mostly an older crowd; Carlos's has been here forever. A friend of mine has had her retirement party here. Twice. The back patio is covered with a tent awning. It's an excellent place for an after work get together. Or a committee meeting; I always get better attendance when I schedule my committee meetings here at 5:00 on a Friday. They serve a limited menu of typical bar food. Decent burgers; juicy. Big baskets of hot wings go down well with the house red wine. I don't patronize the barbershop; I don't think they serve beer, wine or wings in there. But friends of mine get cut there and they don't look too shabby. read more

My wife and I aren't exactly regulars here, but we have gone there 2-3 times a year for well over 30 years now to have burgers and beer. We started because I could smoke there, since Webster allowed it, and it's an open air beer garden. And they had beer! I REALLY like to have a beer with my burgers! It's not gourmet or fancy at all, but to me, that's the best part. It's a dive bar with excellent burgers, a basic but serviceable domestic beer selection (they have Shiner Bock and Lonestar), and great service from the always friendly (in my experience) barmaids. I no longer smoke but we still enjoy going there for the food, beer and the great service! It's a definitely a landmark in this area and worth checking out for some local color and good burgers. Try the Texas toothpicks. I have heard their weekly crawfish boils are excellent when they are in season. They even have a Karaoke night! read more

A bar with a good menu. The burgers are big and delicious. The fries aren't that great, the onion rings are the best in all of the Clear Lake area (according to my wife). Since it's more bar than restaurant, you're paying $2+ for a can of soda. You can either sit inside (weather determines if the garage doors are open) or in the outdoor patio. I can't stress enough, this is a bar with a menu! The seating sucks, you can smoke inside, and the food is delicious. read more

I have a food allergy to vineger and cook was incapable of not cross contamination. He was touching pickles and then touching my food, I told them that I can not eat the Burger due to cross contamination. Owner stated I'm too much of a Liability and would not serve me or my friend who had no allergies. I then watched the cook as he touched raw chicken and pork scooping ice and touching salt shakers handles everything with out washing his hands. I'm glad that I was denied service this is contamination waiting to happen.. The bartender's were polite and were sorry for the inconvenience. read more

It was great to be able to gather with my family in an outdoor area. The crawfish were good size and seasoned well. The only problem was the blatant prejudice and disrespect. We were the only people of color. Didn't realize a bottle of water was going to be an issue. It was one thing to bring to our attention that we couldn't bring it in. It was another thing to say "you people with your kool-aid is messing up my business ". Like our money was not green when we paid for our food and drinks. I was mortified that we are still dealing with this foolishness in 2021. The food was good but I won't patronize an establishment that has no respect for me or my family. read more

BEST FISH TACO I have ever had - hands down! Someone suggested we try the Texas Toothpicks - deep-friend onion and jalapeno strips. I was hesitant, but what the heck - and they were AMAZING! Not greasy and surprisingly sweet! Place isn't much to look at, but who cares? The food is simple, delicious and cheap! Beer is cheap, too. The servers were efficient and answered questions in a friendly manner. I'll be back for more! read more

Good burgers. Not great either. 2 burgers 2 fries 18 dollars, way over priced. Wont be back.

I was walking around Webster and smelt Cajun seasonings in the air... "are there any good crawfish places around?," I asked one of the locals. I have been craving crawfish for a while and knew it was around the end of the season, but was gladly directed to this 'hole-in-the-wall" place that has been around since 1977. Right off of Highway 3, so it is pretty easy to roll up with your car/motorcycle and park in the front or on the side of the building. On Monday nights they have kareoke night and $6 steak night with an 8 oz. sirloin. Plenty of TV's everywhere to watch your favorite game. Pool tables, beer buckets, and best of all when in season: CRAWFISH!!. If you get there by 6 on Saturday night, it's only $17 for all you can eat crawfish, corn, and potatoes. My mother and I found the last table to sit at because the place was so full of people. Despite it being so crowded, the waitress still had time to serve us, and gave me a ticket to go up to the guys boiling the crawfish and they stamped my hand. I rushed back to the table then died and went to Heaven, it was delish. Then after I gorged myself of almost 4 pounds of crawfish, I went to the bathrooms to wash my hands and, well, they could be cleaner. I did enjoy the atmosphere though on a nice day. They open up the 4 garage doors in the back, which you can walk out to the other covered tables area (I think they consider the actual beer garden). The average age of the people there were in their 40's, but I also saw kids, people in their 20's enjoying a bunch of cold beers, and an older crowd. Carlos' family runs the place, and I got the privilege of meeting the man himself. He definitely is an enjoyable man to talk to, and made us feel right at home, telling us all about the history of the place and how it's survived many hurricanes over the past 35 years. If you are someone who is always wanting to try something new or go out with friends and have drinks at a unique place, I would highly suggest trying this joint out. Next time I am in town I will be calling up everyone I know to join me there for sure. read more

Great burgers. Cute waitresses almost all the time (albeit only one or two, as this is a small joint). This is a family run place, with three or four pool tables, a juke box and five or 6 TV's almost always on Football or sports. The cook has been working there for years and always does a good job. If you want your burger this-way-or-that, they'll make it for you (but I alway get it "all the way"). In fact, this is the third best burger joint in my book (with 2J's Seafood being a hands down first, and Riverside Marina Inn being a distant but respectable second). And not a bad stop if doing a day-tour on a Harley. But no fighting. Ever. (Not that you'd want to, because they never give you any grief there.) The police department is next door. read more

My husband and I stopped by here after visiting the space center. It was awesome! If you like dive bars, you've got to check this place out!
