The service was lacking attentiveness with small crowd. The number one issue is the violation of charging double tax on drinks. They will total your full bill add tax and then additional tax for alcoholic beverages. Instead separating. Then they charge extra for card pay vs. cash. We have lived in this Katy area for more than 30 years. This has never been the case for any restaurant or bar. read more

Their kitchen is open late, so working late no longer means missing out on a good meal. Scotty's online menu, with its creative appetizers, was so ambitious that I was so certain the food would be amazing, and they were absolutely able to follow through. The house-made Buffalo Chicken Pimento Cheese Dip tastes like such a lucky find for bar food. So many fresh ingredients go into these dishes that I honestly felt like I discovered a treasure by walking in the first time. I've been counting on the Disco Fries--with yet again another flavorful house-made sauce--to be there after wrapping up many work projects. I thought I was content with their well-executed and reliable menu staples, but in another stroke of luck, I was able to get in on trying their "limited time" special, Chef Phillip's Philibuster. I have no idea how creative and dedicated these people must be for such an astounding dish to even exist! It wasn't enough for Chef Phillip to have a burger tucked between TWO grilled cheese sandwiches (Gouda & Mozzarella!)--which probably would have amazed me right there--but to also have a house-made tomato jam (I keep forgetting to ask if they'll make more of the jam to just sell it), more cheese on the burger (Swiss), and another house-made sauce, is shocking in such a fun and delightful way. Adding that fresh arugula so you can pretend you aren't so far off your diet that you're eating THREE sandwiches at once, just really made it an unexpected delight. read more

Ciera and Stacy are amazing!!! Scotty the owner and quinten the GM came out to offer my husband and I samples of new menu items they want to put out and bought a round of shots for us. Not to mention I asked ciera to make me something fruity with vodka and she came back with this amazing creation she called a shark attack! What a cool name and the drink was delicious. Very cool and laid back spot with a good mix of music. They also do tournaments for darts and pool which I found neat to watch. Overall a very pleasant experience and everyone for sure made my husband and I regulars over there. Can't wait to go back!! The whole establishment was amazing and very welcoming. read more

Scottys is the local dive bar that you should go to! The food is here top notch. Very unexpected for a local pub like this. The greatest sammich in the world is very delicious and juicy. You can definitely taste the flavor of everything on it! Drinks are cheap and there are always great happy hours. Pool tables and certain events during the weekends make it even better! The only downside to me would be the service and the cigarette smoking. I understand about the cigarette smoking and can deal with it but service at the tables could be a bit better! Majority of the time, you have to walk up to the bar to order instead of a waiter/waitress coming to you. Overall, great local dive bar, would most definitely come back! read more

This place has everything you would want: good selection of beer (craft beer for me & regular domestic for my non-craft beer drinking buddies), pool tables, dart boards, full bar, damn good food (better than most bars), jukebox, lots of big TVs for watching live games, I believe they have karaoke nights and other event nights, it's a huge place (they even have a dance floor), good service, it is a smoking establishment, parking lot seems chill and somewhat private area (I don't feel like my ride is going to be broken into) and prices are legit... I been wanting to check out this place for a few years now but never made it out here. This is another one of my free poker spots that I come to from time to time. They have poker Thursday nights every week. I like the hole in the wall feel about this place. I subtracted one star for one reason only. It is still a smoking establishment. If you walk in, you better believe you will smell like smoke when you leave. The food though, is quite impressive for a bar. You have to try the TatorTachos. I am a sucker for tator tots, but to top it with pulled pork and queso, it can not get any better than that. The serving size is pretty impressive too. Their burgers are spot on as well. They have drink specials every night and a good selection of liquor and beer. There are dart boards and pool tables for those that are interested. Plenty of TVs playing all the games as well. Don't forget about the karaoke and live bands from time to time. Amazing! Apple slices, bacon, gruyere, brie, and American cheese with Apricot preserves. Flavor explosion! Lots of TVs for football, friendly staff. Only drawback (4 stars instead of 5) is they allow smoking inside... no one was smoking when I was there so it was ok but the smell still lingered. I can see why people like Scotty's, it's a good time neighborhood bar! FOOD: The owner is a culinary instructor at HCC so the food is really good! They have plenty of local craft beers on tap which is ALWAYS A PLUS. I visited for an event so I didn't get to taste much from Scotty's menu but there is a huge chalk board of various items that the locals appeared to love. The Pub Nachos and burgers seemed to be coming out left and right. No Label is on tap and there are bottles available at Scotty's. PARKING: Easy..breezy.. there is a lot that is right out front. No street parking necessary. If you live in the neighborhood I would advise walking! I will say that the toilet tissue was super rough. I rarely comment on restrooms although I am constantly eyeing their cleanliness. It was kind of like sand paper. read more

Scotty's was a decent place to chill out. The service was good and helpful. The bartenders were helpful enough to a customer like me who likes to enjoy different types of beer and were attentive to the customers at the bar. I will state though there were a couple of things I observed as a little unsafe like scooping ice with a glass tumbler and serving a customer who was clearly intoxicated. The environment seemed inviting even with the customers appearing to be regulars, which in my experience has shown to be uncomfortable. They had a nice selection of drinks and beers on tap and the food menu looked very delicious. I will return to punish my body with some of those meal items in the future . read more

Scotty's was so unexpected...it's like meeting that not so hot guy who tries to talk to you in class...he's always there...always has been...you've never checked him out nor did you ever give him the time of day...one day, you got curious...and you know what? He turns out to be a really caring, nice, and fun guy despite the people that may surround him. So long story short, don't judge a book by its cover or genre. Even in this little beat up area of Scarsdale, it's pretty awesome. Cheap electronic darts! 50 cents to play per person. Pool! Daily drink specials! Karaoke, open mic nights, and random events like that. (Never been...just seen on their Facebook) They actually have a pretty interesting foodie menu! I love their burger! Seriously, I'm gonna go get one right now! That burger is amaze balls!!! Jalapeño cheddar bread as the bun! Yum!!! The pork nachos was alright, the BBQ sauce tasted bottled and thin. The chips got soggy underneath everything. And you know what? Just come here and have an open mind. Yes, the Thursday I stopped in one day there was a meat packing district present but just do you! We've tried this place as a weekend late night spot and each time have felt less and less attached. The Bloody Mary's are what brought us in and they were exceptional the first night! We also ordered some bomb cheese fries (?) that I highly recommend. It was a very laid back/casual, older vibe. Jeans and sneakers are perfectly okay, apparently. Music was alright. Today's hits mixed with 90s rock and old school rap made gave an interesting variety to the playlist. My boyfriend and I had fun playing pool and enjoyed the drinks, so we decided to come back. A few weeks later, however, we come back and (maybe there were new bartenders?) the Bloody Mary's were WAY subpar, the crowd was pretty thin, and the music was a little strange. We had come in with a NAGGING Bloody Mary craving, so getting a really weak drink after expecting something so much better left us disappointed. Ultimately, we decided not to hit Scotty's up again any time soon. Maybe we'll come back to try the food one day. :) read more

First time at this local pub, nice friendly people. I heard their food was outstanding. I tried the 3 little pigs I have to say I was very impressed, meat was moist, chibatta was soft, bacon was thick and juicy ; Chitchat with the locals and bartenders and they said the menu was put together by a culinary chef.
