Warning Texans fans & other non-Cowboy fans! The walls inside Friend's Pub are covered in Cowboy's colors and tons of memorabilia. Even in the hallway to the restrooms! If you can overlook all of that ;) then this is a cool pub with TONS of TV's. This is also a good place for smokers to gather as they allow cigarette smoking inside. Cigar smokers usually sit on the patio. *Note: the patio is in the front and you may walk through smokers on the patio to get inside. I always get the hummus plate to start. That way if I eat "bad" bar food, at least I got a few veggies in first. The gyro wrap is delicious, especially with their house-made chips. read more

First and last time I will visit. Went with a group who wanted a drink.... not a single worker was wearing a mask and they were not following any Covid precautions. Extremely disappointing! Can't review the food or drink because after I saw what was going on I refused to spend any money there. If you are going to function as a restaurant, act like it and follow the procedures put in place to help keep everyone safe and get us back to normal. So disappointed. read more

Must admit I am truly caught off guard by this place. I work at Toyota of Alvin close by. Worked there from 2006-2012 when it was Ron Carter Toyota never was impressed with food at that time. Came back in 2019 and my new co workers swore it was good food. I must admit I ate food from there kebab gyro humus and salad. And at no time have I thought this was good from a bar. Met a buddy of mine at this place Monday evening. Wow I was so impressed with the comfortable layout, all the big TV's and just the general atmosphere. The bartenders were very friendly and accommodating. They have a $1 wing special on Mondays and they were awesome. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owners and they were as nice as could be. We came here for a family member's birthday night out from the inner loop. My first thoughts? This place is covered in Dallas Cowboys gear, and that's just not right. Smoking is allowed, because this is not in Houston city limits. I don't mind this sort of thing at all, but if you're the super sensitive type, you might want to avoid it. We went up to the bar and noticed that everybody had an empty glass. Not good. Luckily, we had a table reserved, and the waitress swung by for our drink order. Don't know what sort of beer they serve here, but they could get me a St. Arnold's Lawnmower in a bottle, and that's just fine for me. There was a competent enough live band playing, and a decent amount of people, so the environment wasn't bad. Apparently there was a fight right before we got in, and the cops showed up to haul these guys off Get rid of the Dallas stuff, and this could be a 3.5 star establishment. read more

Third time here... 2nd time for Cowboys game. Absolute PROS: if you are a Cowboys fans, it's no doubt the place to be!! CONS: Service during games are HORRIBLE! 1 to 1 1/2 hours to get bar food. There is about 10 things on the menu that's all fried, shouldn't take that long. Don't bother getting a waitress because they are never around or they are WAY under staffed. People are going next door to the Mexican restaurant to get drinks and food because lack of service. Owner needs to be prepared for playoffs games!! Food, staff, don't run out of beer!!!! I have a broken foot and as we were leaving out the door, they told us to pull the jeep up onto the sidewalk and then pulled out an umbrella and walked me to my car, as TS Beta was pouring rain. Lana was our superb server, whom also provided the umbrella! A beautiful young lady and a handsome bouncer walked me out with the umbrella to make sure I didn't slip on the wet stone. We live in Friendswood and have been going to Friends Pub for about a year now and we really like it. The owner is always improving for the better. If anything begins to wear or fade he replaces it immediately. The staff is good, but really it's the owners and customers that make it a great place to hang out. We go every few weeks for dinner and the food is crazy good compared to what you would expect from a pub. Try the chicken cob salad... it is my favorite and its HUGE. Oh yeah, they do not charge a cover for the live bands! I love that. read more

Have been a semi regular for a couple of years now. When we go we always order appetizers and entrees. We have several drinks and usually a great time. Tonight we went early to secure a table for the ufc fight which we always attend there and have no issues with paying the $5 cover. How ever tonight, 1 beer in we were told we could not stay at the table we were sitting at because we were only 2 people and it was a 4 top....I'm sorry but if I'm paying $5 a person and ordering beer and several food dishes over the next 6 hours I should be "allowed" to sit where is comfortable. These two people who were fairly regular will not be entering this establishment again....way to lose customers Freddie!!!!!! Huge mistake!!! read more

I'm going to comment on other people's comments. We will start with William m. You are completely wrong about the staff they are great. The comment on not enough room is crazy that place is huge if there wasn't enough room good for them that means they are doing good and are a popular place. Next comment tr c there a bar not a restaurant so bar food is what you should expect and not all of them are fried again with the other person busy is busy and if it's busy it takes longer for stuff to come out. I've been going there for 6 years and not once have they been under staffed. Also have never once seen someone go next door to get food or drinks in my opinion your making that up. They have plenty of beer options so if something runs out there is plenty else to choose from. You can only order what you predict to sale if you sale based on past experiences. Keep up the great work and great experience for everyone who walks through the door. Every time I come here there is something new and it's extremely clean love this place. read more
