I did enjoy a blueberry wheat beer from a Galveston brewer and saw several other appealing beer options on the menu. If I were to return, I'd probably go for a beer rather than the food, which was fine, but received mixed feedback from our large party.

If all you plan on drinking is beer, this place is ok, however i would not order a regular mixed drink here, such as whiskey sour or whiskey and coke. Not good. The specialty drinks seem to be good though, i ordered the margarita and it was good. The food is ok. The atmosphere is nice, very large, but has an older crowd. I would have had a better visit if it weren't for my waitress... as i ordered my margarita she mocked me saying, "ohhh my goddd" in a valley girl voice... i felt like she was making fun of me and i was not amused at all. Extremely rude and unprofessional. The friends that i was with also did not like our waitress. read more

The ownership has been intentionally over serving patrons for a long time, defiant on social media, (including encouraging the employees to be defiant) and by word of mouth to customers. They even had a massive sign MANUFACTURED and hung outside of the business, specifically defying the Governor's orders which remains today, even after both of the middle eastern owners were arrested for refusing a LEGAL inspection by the Police Department. Why refuse an inspection if you have nothing to hide? Now they are advocating for customers to show up in support to pay their legal fees after a series of stupid decisions? Not happening! read more

Friends pub really seems to be having some trouble with safety issues. Currently they are involved in some strange spitting contest with the Friendswood Police Dept (having allegedly over served multiple patrons leading to DUI arrests/accidents) and refusing to follow guidelines for spacing patrons away from each other to keep them safe and having their staff not wearing masks appropriately. I'd rate this as a pass for safety reasons now. read more

Apart from having bad service and food, this place is in defiance of local COVID-19 orders and the owners are proudly wearing it as a badge of honor and are activating friends and supporters on social media, claiming to be the victim of police harassment. Love this place, love the owners, love the staff, and love the atmosphere. They have more TV's for game night and UFC fights than Best Buy and well placed so that you can watch the action no matter where you are sitting. Great stage, great dance floor, and always a great time! read more

In fairness, there is an occasional decent bartender in there but you're mostly going to have to deal with the ones I just described. I guess they're thankful for the few friends and insiders who agree to post positive reviews to help their ratings. Positives: it's a decent looking place with a jukebox and darts, booths and bar tables, and a decent selection of beer and alcohol. I guess whomever owns it has low expectations and is content with running a business that is usually empty.
