The chef is a culinary genius. His palate pairings combined with incorporating local/seasonal ingredients keep the menu exciting. Husband and I went for a rare date night since we had a sitter. I was bummed that they were out of the butter board, so we had charcuterie bread and ordered mains from the fall menu. My complaint was that service was slow for it not being packed and they had a lot of staff. There was a big portion sectioned off for a party but it was empty. Since there was not a lot of seating, we were squished at the bar. My dirty martinis were pretty pricey. They charged for the alcohol separate, then the two little olives, and the olive juice like itemized. I don't think I've ever been charged per ingredient like that. And the olives weren't special or gourmet. I've had bowls of hand stuffed, extra large, blue cheese olives at Rouxpour complimentary with my drink. Anywho, lots of regular customers so that's always a good sign. I'd come back for seasonal dishes or happy hour.

Service was excellent. Food was delicious. Only critique was that the "Bob Ross" chicken was bland. They were fried perfectly golden brown but the chicken needed to be seasoned.

The food here is like an experience. So many unique/ different flavored dishes . It's my husband's and I's favorite " date night spot " it's a small town / local tavern / restaurant. I don't feel like calling it a " tavern " does it justice . It's not just fried finger foods and beer , it's well designed chef inspired meals . After Covid it went through a bit of a " change " like a lot of small businesses did . And during the transition there were some hiccups but I think it's back to being its best self . With revolving food menus & DRINK menus there's always something new to look forward to trying . Service is typically pretty good but of course depends on the night and how busy they are .

This place is so damn cozy! Perfect lighting, perfect decor, just perfect. Loved their Friendswood 75 and had wine afterwards since they were having a happy hour special. We split the Belgian fries and the sauces were delicious; mix them together for even more tasty delight! The staff was excellent... this is the kind of place you feel right at home at immediately. They've got so much to offer, be it suggestions or great conversation. I was informed that their menu will be consistently changing and I think that's wicked fun. All the more reason to go back more often!

WowZa! The food here is fantastic! The hubs and I stopped by to give it a whirl and had a great dinner at B 1895. The pesto pasta and the tavern tots were delish! I loved the margarita and the hubs old Fashioned cocktail. The bartender (forgot his name, but if you've been you know) was phenomenal and gave too notch attention, recommendations, and overall customer service. Definitely looking forward to stopping back by for brunch sooner than later! Great find! Cheers!

The food was good and the service was friendly but SOOOOO SLOW. Plenty of parking. The lamb tacos were good but very greasy. The bananas foster was good but over the top sweet with the ice cream. The eggs bacon and browns were tasty. The mimosas are $2 on Sundays.

Food, drinks and service were great! Doesn't appear to be much seating, but we went on a Tuesday and it wasn't crowded at all.

Ask the Community - B1895 Tavern

Does this place still sell the Lamb Rogan Josh and is it available everyday?

No , their menu is completely different .

I'm pretty anti- "foie gras". Is there a way to have "plain" cream gravy with the Chicken Fried Steak, instead?

It's honestly the best Chicken Fried steak you will ever get!!! Amazing...

Wow. WOW is the word to describe this place…read more Let me tell you about Bella the bartender, the BEST bartender I have ever encountered in my entire life. And listen, I'm basically a certified alcoholic (just kidding... allegedly), so trust me when I say I know a good drink when I taste one. I've sampled enough lovely liquors in my day to know what's good and what's just overpriced sadness in a glass. Bella is COMMITTED to her craft. She literally told me she studies cocktail recipes day and night. Like... how cute is that? Meanwhile I can barely commit to folding my laundry. Then she proceeds to make me the SMOOTHEST, yummiest espresso martini my tastebuds have ever had the privilege of experiencing. One sip and I was astonished, emotional, slightly turned on, all of the above. This woman has the shake hands of a goddess. I think I fell in love a little bit. Also, shoutout to the super friendly man in the Hawaiian shirt and Bob Ross-style beret. He brought immaculate vibes to the whole place and made the experience even better (for the most part). Anyways, the drinks at this place are phenomenal. 1000% give this place a try. And if you get Bella as your bartender, congratulations- you ARE one of God's favorites.

The food is…read moreaggressively mediocre--not bad enough to be memorable, not good enough to justify the money, just a sad parade of bland flavors that taste like they were seasoned by someone afraid of salt. Every dish feels rushed, like the kitchen's goal is speed, not taste. The service? Confused at best, indifferent at worst. You get the vibe that everyone working there would rather be literally anywhere else, and they're mildly offended that you showed up expecting... service. Orders come out wrong, late, or both, and no one seems particularly surprised by that. Ambience-wise, Remron has all the charm of a waiting room. Nothing is technically awful, but nothing feels intentional either. It's loud when it shouldn't be, dead when it shouldn't be, and somehow manages to feel cheap and overpriced at the same time. Overall, Remton is the kind of place you go once, complain about on the drive home, and then actively warn friends to avoid. It's not a hidden gem--it's a warning label.

Parking- easy shared lot with other businesses. We came at opening time 11am. And folks were waiting to walk in behind us as we did. The menu was extensive with Vietnamese dishes. Its cool they have both ramen & pho. Nice cocktail menu & cutesy looking bar. Service- was great 5 stars on that. Our server Amy was attentive and smiley, and gave recommendations and answered questions. We appreciated that. Food- we started with the egg rolls, and that was fantastic, so crispy flavorful and great sauce. Would recommend & order again. For the main course, were torn between the pho & ramen. After talking with Amy we decided on the Tonkotsu Black Ramen. We had our choice between fat & skinny noodles. I went with skinny noodles. My friend went with fat noodles. For me the flavor was fine, but not depthful. And my noodles were overdone and did not have the chew that I like. But this could have been a one-off thing. I would give this place another chance, especially if they had a happy hour.
