This place is more of a bar with food as an option. The food here is not great but ya think it is cause you're drunk . Even though the prices here do add up when ya combine the amount of drinks and food ya get . The staff here takes their time and are chill but definitely a lil tipsy . The prices here are extremely overpriced and don't over pay here . No idea how this place was supposed to work. There is no sign for the bar in the strip center it is located in. After some research, it sounded like it was located in the Italian restaurant nearby. We walked in the Italian restaurant around 10p, and the employees were cleaning from dinner. The manager had no idea what the speakeasy was, so she had to ask another employee, which mentioned that they were closed? It seemed like nobody knew of the speakeasy that was supposedly located in the restaurant. Just save your time and hit the spots downtown. Pretty disappointing. read more

Arrived a bit early for our 7pm Saturday reservation, so we sat ourselves...but our bartender/server, Ryan, greeted us warmly and immediately began taking care of us. He made a few recommendations and seemed extremely knowledgeable about each drink. We ended up going with a dirty martini, perfectly made, and the Up in Smoke. Both were delicious. Bonus points for the Up in Smoke table presentation!! To start, we ordered the wagyu meatballs with spicy marinara (actually spicy) and a garden salad. We chose to split the Mike & Jen entree, best seller, but we thought it was just OK. May have been the capers, which we are not a fan of. Atmosphere and ambiance were incredible and shout out to Carter for the attentiveness to our table. Overall, we enjoyed this experience and would recommend this spot. I loved this! It was nice and cozy. There was music playing and the decor was pretty awesome. The bartender made us a signature drink to sample, it tasted like fall and was very smooth. They have a variety of drinks to choose from or they can make anything from the bar in the room. We also ordered from the menu. The stars of the night were: 1.Spinach and artichoke dip-it was cheesy and creamy and the bread was warm and seasoned with garlic and rosemary. 2.Short ribs and risotto-the perfect combination of sweet, creamy and savory. The meat is tender and the sauce is sweet. 3.Gooey butter cake- it wasn't really gooey but it was warm and not too sweet. And the ice cream made it even better. This was my HRW#3 for 2017 and it certainly did not disappoint. The owner, Adrian, is obviously passionate about the place. The decor is very cool - warm, inviting with a true 'old-school' charm. Anna - the GM -- is so sweet and remembered my name the entire night, which was pretty impressive. I started with the parm oysters - delicious. For my entree I had the pork belly, which was absolutely wonderful - perfectly cooked and portioned. Creme Brulee for dessert was wonderful. After seeing the carrot cake, I wished that I had gotten it -- it was beyond words good! Trying out new places and stumbled upon this "speakeasy" inside of Grazia. You enter through a private area where the decorations are dark and lounge-y. I got the drinks Her First Time and Pretty in Pink. It was good and well-balanced. For food I got scallops with risotto and the robust pizza. You get 3 scallops on a bed of risotto for $18! Well worth it! The pizza was out quicker than expected and the toppings were very generous! Would definitely come back for a date night. read more

I've heard the legend of the Noble Experiment for some time. I've been wanting to go for a minute, and this week was finally that time. My companion and I arrived around 7:30. Grazia was jam packed, luckily, the Experiment was not. We entered the waiting area and were escorted to our table. The atmosphere in the Experiment is completely different than that of the restaurant itself. It's cozy, with a chill ambience. A much more personal vibe. The decor was quite interesting. Robert was taking care of us for the evening. He did a fantastic job. He took time to discuss the cocktails and food with us. He didn't rush us, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. We started with cocktails. I went with the Up in Smoke. This bourbon wonder was actually created by Robert, our wait staff. So good that I started and finished with this drink. It is strong, but quite tastey. A very good sipping drink. We had jumbo scallops with risotto as an appetizer. The scallops were cooked perfectly. Slightly browned on the outside, perfectly balanced on the inside. Not too dry, not too wet. The risotto was delicious. For my second cocktail I had The Aviation. It was also good, a lot different than The Up in Smoke but still very good. I had the Chicken Limon. It came with whipped potatoes. It was quite tastey. I think I would've enjoyed it more with risotto or another kind of potato, but it was good. Neither of us ended​ up finishing our dinner as the appetizer was quite filling. Didn't do dessert, so I'll update again if I try that. It is a little pricey, but you get what you're paying for. The food is fantastic, the drinks are tastey and strong, the ambience is super chill, and many folks don't know about it. I have been twice now. The first time, I made the reservation over the phone and had a 5 star experience. The second time, I made the reservation through Yelp and had a significantly less pleasurable experience. Cocktails and interaction with the servers was still as great as the first visit; the ability to communicate specifications and have those expectations met were not when reserving through Yelp. Went here for the first time for my birthday with a friend who loves trying new places. Was a little concerned when I wasn't given a password when making my reservations online. But was given one at the hostess stand inside Grazia. Once inside the place was really cool! Small and quaint! We ordered 2 speciality drinks. My friend got the up in smoke whiskey drink. She said it was phenomenal. Then our bartender literally disappeared. Came back 3-4 minutes later with an armful of eggs and cucumbers! I had the "25 to life". Lol! They were for my mixed drink. We would have appreciated the reason he left us though! We sat at a table to order dinner. Both meals were great (spaghetti and then chicken parm). The bread and dipping oil was as good as everyone says it is! We had a 2nd round of drinks. Asked the bartender to pick 2 drinks for us. I had the Laura Lee and my friend had "her first time". Both were great! Good strong drinks and great flavor! My only reason to take a star Away was around 9pm people just started walking in. And in jeans and shorts! My friend and I don't go out often, and we hardly ever dress up. So we were super excited to dress up to come here. We had so much fun! The atmosphere is super chill, and we loved the dark walls and the lighting. There were reasonably priced bottles of wine and lots of fun cocktail options. The lasagna egg rolls were a great idea; they are meatballs and mozzarella deep fried, and that's just a genius thing. My husband got a creamy chicken soup that was incredibly rich. We could have had about 1/4 the amount and been satisfied. I ordered the scallop appetizer with risotto and a side of asparagus. It was all good, and the asparagus was screaming hot. I swirled it around in the sauce from the scallops, and they should put that on the menu. My husband got the robusto pizza. So good. The place is really nice, beautifully decorated. The ambience is very intimate. The drinks are great, we had a mezcal mule and an old fashion whiskey. The waiters and bartenders are super courteous and attentive. The food is of course really good, it's the same as in Grazia. We had the chicken marsala and the seafood pasta with spicy sauce. Our fav dish was the chicken marsala. They also serve some bread with oil that is delicious. The creme brûlée is amazing! The only thing is that they never sent me the secret code and I had to ask for it at the reception, which took away the fun part a little bit. Also, I would love to see some food items different from Grazia to make the experience more exclusive. But I highly recommend the place and I will go back for sure. read more

Came here again and noted some changes they have made. First you can now eat dinner in there. They now have more of a table set up for dining. You also don't have a secret password to go in. You just go to the hostess at grazia and they will take you in (with reservations). The food from grazia was delicious as always and the drinks superb! My bestie and I came here one evening on a whim just to see what the whole experiement was about. When we got to the restaurant we went around the corner and had to call in to get through the secret door. That was really cool, but the waiter was a little rude and was unaware of our initial reservation, hence the -1 star. Other than that the food and ambiance was neat. It would definitely be ideal for a small birthday dinner or other celebration especially if you want something intimate. The food was great and drinks were strong. My husband and I have been her a couple of times now. This time around we returned with my sister and her husband. One of the things we liked about our previous visits was the atmosphere. We saw TNE as a "grown-up" bar. It was nice to be able to go out for cocktails and be able to carry on a conversation without having to yell over other guests. To me TNE is a place where people go to have a good time, share in a great experience and learn from these amazing alchemists. This recent experience wasn't the same. It was VERY loud. Louder than normal. One of the things I dislike about "other bars" is that the general population can't handle their alcohol. It's a waste. If you want to get hammered BWW is right around the corner. Enjoy the spirits and the craftsmanship that goes into each and every cocktail made. Again, if it's that kind of atmosphere you seek, B-Dubs. Another "removable stain" is the vaping! I mean, vaping, really? It's just as annoying as smoking. Hopefully this is something that would be changed...soon. None of these things are the fault of TNE, so it's not going to keep us from returning. It may seem that what I have to say isn't quite positive, but it is my review of my experience. I will say that each time that we've been to TNE, whether sitting at the bar or at a table service has been extremely exceptional. These bartenders know their craft. Period. I like to think that my husband is also a knowledgable mixologist but even he has been stumped a time or two. "Dealers Choice": Don't be skurrd! I'm all for trying new things. If you know your palate and trust your alchemist then always go with "Dealers Choice". You will not be disappointed. Live a little! Don't just pick something off the menu. The only thing I have ordered off the menu was an app. Trust me. If I am wrong and you get a drink you don't like, I owe you a drink. Dress Code: Please respect the dress code. You don't have to come in a suit and tie but guys- collard shirts, ladies and men....please NO flip flops, jeans and t-shirts. That's ok if you're going to the beach (or as mentioned above BWW). I love that TNE is really making an effort to bring back the days of old when people got cleaned up and dressed up for a night on the town. Respect that. My friend and I had a drink at TNE after dinner at Grazia last night. We were able to walk in without a reservation since there were open seats at the bar. You no longer need a password to get in which kind of takes away the fun of the speakeasy concept. The drink menu is now the same menu as Grazia which was kind of a let down. The menu that they had a few months ago had so many craft cocktail options. Of course they can pretty much make anything you ask for, but the options on the current menu didn't really grab my attention like the previous menu did. The bartenders were nice but were really busy since patrons are now allowed to have dinner in the speakeasy. I think it's helpful that they are serving dinner in the speakeasy so that the wait time won't be so long, but I kind of wish they would go back to the password concept. That was a huge appeal for me. I'm happy though that this place is in Pearland. It's nice to have a craft cocktail lounge in the area. read more

So this is what the big fuss is about in the Pearland area, I know I have heard about this place for a little while now. My fiance's birthday was this weekend so we decided this would be the perfect opportunity to try out this very much talked about getaway. I will admit that at the beginning the experience had a few hiccups, but overall I was very impressed with the whole experience, but even more importantly my fiance had a great time. Check-In: They hold true to the secret passage, password-required entry way into their speakeasy like I had read about, I liked that part of it very much. However, the hiccup occurs right here because it was about 10+ minutes to actually get into their hideaway. You're supposed to hold the phone until someone on the other end picks up the line and you give the password to get in, but the wait put me off slightly. When we did get in, we realized it was because of how insanely crowded it was in there (and for good reason) so the wait made a little more sense. I'm sure if it wasn't a Saturday evening of all times we wouldn't have had the long delay. This did not hinder our overall time we had that evening though. Atmosphere: Comforting and wonderful, the ambiance was similar to Pete's Dueling Piano Bar in downtown Houston, except they had their own personal touches and it felt a lot more homey than most places I have been to. The attire here ranges from casual to dressy, but this just adds to the whole Prohibition-style theme they were going for, and I feel they were spot on with the choices they made. Service: Just like in the front of house, it's very top-notch. Regardless of the fact that they were extremely packed when we entered, we were seated right away and given water and options of what the bartenders could conjure. Later on into the evening when it did lighten up, even the bartenders came over to us to ask what else we would like, and that whole bit felt very home-welcoming. Just like in the restaurant, they exceed well in service, and can handle busy situations without faltering, that is not a trait you see very often. Drinks: Wow...... I honestly don't have good enough words to describe the quality of drinks we were served. I honestly wish I could remember half of the ingredients they put into our drinks to describe them better, but what I can say is that these drinks were some of the finest cocktails I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. It's one thing to make a great quality drink, but to perfect it into a professional craft that requires artistic, elegant presentation and the obvious care they put into their drinks takes something quite special. Each drink me and my guests ordered that night was different, but the reaction to every single one of them was the same collective emotion of utter happiness. This was a great way to celebrate my fiance's birthday, they even brought birthday shots (I'm not sure what it was exactly, but it was top-notch as well) for all of us and were touched by how well they take care of their guests. Conclusion: Regardless of how new this place is, they already have quite the reputation for being one of the best things to happen to the Pearland area in a while now. They lived up to and exceeded any expectations I had, and my fiance and her friend had an excellent time as well. When a good special occasion ever comes back around, it's safe to assume that I will be back to this place again. This was definitely worth it, I highly recommend this to anyone who wants high-quality drinks and a pleasantly good time. The five-stars is well deserved. read more
