Panang curry and the best noodles ever
    Nina T.

We went here on a whim, and I'm now convinced it's the best Thai food in Pearland! We got the panang curry and a noodle dish that I can't remember the name of! But the noodles had Chinese sausage, fish cake, and something called XO sauce I think. The noodles were literally one of my favorite things that I have ever eaten and the panang curry was one of the best I've ever had. Be warned that their spice level is intense - we typically like spicy but even so, we got a 2/5, and it was the most spicy we would enjoy. We didn't get a chance to try any of their cocktails that night but they had so many unique cocktails so we will need to be back soon!

This is my favorite Thai spot in Pearland. Warning, it can be a bit cold in there though, so bring a jacket. I love how the food is piping hot, even after 15 minutes. The seasoning and spice levels are always hitting. I got a pad Thai and that was 3 meals for me which is a great deal for the price point. Service was fast and the decor inside is nice. I think the fried chicken bites were okay. But highly recommend any curry or noodle dish here.

DO NOT ORDER TO GO!!!! So I found this place about two days ago and I place a to go order for the Bloomin Pad Thai of Filet Mignon and I promise you all only three pieces of meat were provided and the remaining order just noodles. I was so disappointed as this order is $21 and for them to skimp you out on meat is awful. Safe to say I won't be placing an order again.

This spot is great! We went 2days in a row and enjoyed the lemon drop martinis and margaritas, bar bites, curry, and drunken noodles!!!!! Can't wait to go back!

Came here on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch with friends while out in the land of pears. Thanks Jason D. for the recommendation, and to Lyndsey N., Jillian C., and Lupe M. for meeting up impromptu! Upon being seated, they informed us that they have all day happy hour and bar bites on Saturdays and Sundays. This was perfect, as they offer cocktails for $5-6 and smaller-sized snack entrees for $6. While the website says that this is only offered on Sundays, they mentioned that they recently included Saturdays on this special as well. I love a good deal, so huge win! For my drink, I ordered an Old Fashioned. This came out in a neat tilting glass, which I've never seen before. The cup does not sit flat on the table, but rather is tilted and spins around like a top. Believe it or not, it seems more difficult to accidentally spill a drink in this vs. in a flat-bottom cup! The Old Fashioned itself, while not the best I've had, tasted like a standard one, and I can't complain for $6. For my second drink, I ordered a Woodford Reserve bourbon on the rocks, which came out in the same style of cup. This was $5, which is a great deal for good bourbon. For my food, I ordered the Thai Crunch Bites and the Bangkok Bay Battered Bites. The Thai Crunch Bites are their take on chicken karaage - breaded chicken tossed in salt and basil. These came out hot and crispy and went along well with the dipping sauce. The Bangkok Bay Battered Bites were two fried fish fillets served atop a bed of waffle fries and dipping sauce on the side. I thought the fish in this one tasted a little too fishy, and slices were very thin. The main character here was the waffle fries, which is what I ended up liking way more. Service was attentive throughout, and at 2pm on a Saturday, there were only a couple other tables dining in. All day happy hour on Saturday is definitely attractive for bringing people in (myself included), but we seemed to be the only table partaking in the deals. I hope they stay in business and continue to succeed. We will definitely be back for weekend happy hour in Pearland!

As soon as I walked in, there was plenty of space, so I was seated right away. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made for a great first impression. The atmosphere was clean and inviting, and I felt comfortable throughout my visit. They also have a bar, so you can enjoy a drink at any time of the day. I thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes, with the curry being a standout. The lunch portions were generous, though I do tend to prefer a lot of rice with my curry. Extra rice is available for $3, which I guess it's understandable. The Thaicoon rolls were made fresh to order, arriving piping hot with perfectly crispy wonton skin and a savory filling. Both the beef and chicken were incredibly tender, and the curry had an amazing depth of flavor. Even the rice was perfectly cooked, complementing the dish beautifully.

    SALMON CURRY

Came in on Easter Sunday afternoon so the place was quiet. The restaurant still did a good take out. I had the crispy chilli fish and hubby had salmon in red curry sauce. We shared some salmon chips. Our server was professional and friendly and served us quickly. The salmon chips were unusual, but tasty and the sauce finished them off perfectly. My fish was excellent and the reason for the 4 stars is that hubby's salmon was well done (personal opinion) although the curry was delicious. We will definitely come back.

Came in on a Saturday afternoon. Place was fairly empty. Dress code: casual Food 4.5/5: ordered their yellow curry. Taste was very good but a bit too salty for my taste and I have a fairly heavy palate. Still overall the taste was fantastic and I finished most of it. Also got the lychee martini which was pretty good but very strong. Service 4/5: very friendly and helpful but food was somewhat slow in coming Ambiance 4/5: modern looking restaurant, well spaced, clean but nothing that wowed Value 4.5/5: pretty good value, great portion sizes for a decent price. Overall 4.4/5: overall a strong performance, but shouldn't really be that slow with so few customers. Parking: shared parking lot

Ate here for dinner last night! I had 2 Thai 75 to drink during dinner, which was nice and tasty! My husband started with the Night in Bangkok, which he wasn't a huge fan of because the Mezcal taste was overpowering. His second drink was Phuket, which he liked. I had the Pad Woonsen with chicken at spice level 1 with no tomatoes and it was delicious! The serving was large and I took home over half to eat today! We had the Thaicoon rolls with pork for an app. They were nice and crispy and the dipping sauce paired really well with them. Sometimes pork spring rolls have a weird taste but these were sooo good! My husband had the Drunken Chicken on spice level 3 and he said it was one of the best he's had. The service was great! They didn't have one of the ingredients for a drink we initially wanted so they gave us another for free! The restaurant was cute, calming and clean! Would definitely recommend!

We came here for more of their delicious food. We tried their salmon skins and cry baby noodles for the first time, which were pretty good.

    YELLOW CURRY

I met a friend here and we were promptly seated and served. The appetizer sampler was delicious and I appreciated that they accommodated her dietary restrictions. I also got the yellow curry and a lychee martini which were both very delicious. We went during happy hour so there was a special going on too. Everyone was super kind and I'd highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for some really good Thai food.

This was the first time visiting Thaicoon in this location. I have been to another one in Katy so my expectation for here was also high and indeed it was absolutely awesome! Since I'm vegetarian, I like having veggie options like veggies and tofu! We had pad thai, pineapple fried rice and pa tse yu all in veggies! Twas really good and delicious The manger and stuffs were very friendly and just amazing to receive their service! :) The vibe of this restaurant was also cozy and great! I'll definitely be back there again!! Keep up the great work! Cheers

You just don't see that often and I wanted to try it. The stars aligned and my family and I met up here for a weeknight dinner. Alvin is the true definition of a small town. It is just south of Pearland and life moves a little slower out here. Atleast for time being as it is becoming more developed now. The building itself is old and full of character. Everyone seemed to know each other. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, but service was a tad bit slow at times. My family isn't a big drinking family so we stuck with water and sodas, but they have quite a nice bar program here. They have a really impressive beer selection, a long list of specialty cocktails and lots of wine to choose from. I'm definitely coming back to check that out without the fam. For appetizers, we got an order of the scotch eggs and the Bavarian pretzel sticks. This was my first introduction to scotch eggs and a wonderful one at that. You really can't go wrong with anything wrapped in sausage and deep friend. It was a nice treat and something I will not be sharing next time. The pretzels were also very good. Our waitress suggested some cheese sauce to accompany those. These sticks of goodness were excellent. For my entree, I was stuck on a few items as their menu is pretty extensive. Our waitress said my option for the Pork Milanesa was the way to go, so I did. I've had milanesa at Mexican restaurants, but never in a tavern nor prepared this way. This was hand battered in panko and then topped with a mushroom gravy. It comes with broccoli and mashed potatoes but I substituted the veggie for mac and cheese. This dish was very good and the portions were very generous. Enough for me to have a full second meal minus the sides. The pork was thinly pounded and kept it's crunch even doused in gravy. The gravy was rich and very delicious. My family got a mix of items like the philly cheese steak, flat iron steak salad, tavern salad, and chicken fried steak. For research purposes and for my loyal readers, I tried everything. There wasn't anything that was bad to me. We were full so desserts didn't happen on this trip. Overall, Gordon Street Tavern is a solid spot that I would happily return to if in the area.

I've been a resident of Clear Lake for about a year now, and happen in here about once a week. Every single day they have a deal on beer specials: $2.50 domestics and discounted pitchers, and $3 Blue Moon specials on Friday nights (I think that's right). But you'll have a great time not only spending little, but enjoying cool draft beers. Every now and then they'll also have some events with live music, outside festivities, and guest people who will cook some good food. St. Patrick's day is also an annual holiday that you'll want to partake in at this place. They also have a Halfway to St. Pat's Day (believe it or not). Come see it for yourself. They also have an outside patio where another bartender is on duty. On a nice day outside, it is the place to be. You can also order food from other restaurants and they'll let you eat it in the bar. The dart board is also cool, although you gotta pay to play it. It is worth it though! Come on to Molly's and see what good things this little neighborhood dive has to offer! All the bartenders are very nice too! You'll be friends with them immediately!
