As far as breweries go, Saloon Door is a place where I can drink almost anytime. The vibe is casual, the service is friendly and the beers are tasty. It's an easy place for all kinds of gatherings, especially ones with big groups and a thirsty penchant for beer. In a place like Webster where chains rule and suburban life is abundant, Saloon Door stands out as an excellent local option. It may not look like much from the outside and even the interior is minimal, but that somehow doesn't matter when groups of people are enjoying their brews together. They host all sorts of events and also allow for private use of dare venue space. Any first timer should absolutely indulge in a beer flight with some kind. The brewmasters are kind enough to let folks sample to their heart's content. Not everybody is beer savvy (#1) but they do a good job of recommending the right ones for any given palate. I appreciate their selection of stouts, ales, light brews, and IPAs. I have a fondness for their peanut butter milk stout, as well as dar dildo pickle gose. The tasty AF is also a good one, as is the lava imperial hot rock beer. The ladder has an ABV of 11%, so it is the most potent one in their lineup that I know of. Most breweries like this aren't always known for food, but there are some nice deals to be had here. Their taco Tuesday nights are popular since board games and happy hour beers are apparently a thing. The Friday deal for $15 inlcudes a burger, fries, and a beer would is very affordable in these times. Thursday nights they activate their projection screen and do a " a retro video game" night with plenty of multiplayer and beer specials. I always look forward to coming here. When it comes to local breweries, Saloon Door is one of my favorites in the greater Houston area. This is their first out of two locations and it has been around for awhile. It was one of the first on this side of town before everyone and their mom started opening up breweries. The difference is, it has stood the test of time and is still going strong. This location is located in an industrial park close to I-45. There is plenty of parking. It anchors that particular section and is quite large inside. There is plenty of seating and they also have space available for private events. The staff here know their product and offer great advise on what to pick if you are indecisive like me. They have quite a respectable assortment of beers to choose from. They have light beers, malty beers, stouts, IPAs, and seasonal beers. I would suggest a flight if you want to try a few different things. I am not a big IPA guy, but Saloon Door has some that are pretty tasty. My favorites here at their stouts. They are heavy, but easy to sip on. Their stouts have flavor profiles that I love. My all time favorite Saloon Door beer is the Tasty AF. It is a peanut butter and chocolate milk stout. How can you go wrong with that flavor combination. It's like drinking a dessert. Some breweries name their beers with flavors but don't deliver on said flavor. Here, their beers are true to their names. Don't sleep on their other offering though! As far as food, they have rotating food trucks that you can order from. This location was my introduction to Saloon Door, but they did open their second location closer to my home. I would still without a doubt come back to this location if in the area though! read more

plenty of free parking, great staff, and a huge selection of beer to choose from. overall, i liked most of my flight that i had. the place is huge, with plenty of tables, games, and fun events they host weekly. the food in here smelled amazing and it seems they have a small staff that cooks up a few items that change on the menu often. their artwork on the beer cans is fun too. would come back, its worth the drive from downtown houston, or if you plan on going to the NASA station. its within a 5 min drive of that. read more

I visited Saloon Door after attending a UYE. I've had Saloon Door beer before, but this was my first time visiting the brewery. They have so many beers to choose from! You can sample as many beers as you would like and they offer flights. What's cool about the flight is that you can choose any 5 that they have. You are not limited to a smaller selection. The bartender (who was so sweet by the way) gives you a blank card and a marker and you just write down the 5 beers that you want for your flight. The beers on the menu are in order from lowest to highest ABV. They didn't have a pale ale at the time of our visit, however they had quite a few IPAs. I'm not much of an IPA fan, but I'm finding that there are some that I like. In fact, the beer that I enjoyed the most turned out to be one of their IPAs. They also have their "Blenu Menu" where they mix different beers and flavors to create new ones. For my flight I had: -Berliner Weisse - sour; didn't love it -PB Honey Blonde - light and you can definitely taste the peanut butter -Persnickety - Citrus Wheat; it wasn't bad -Crank That AC - Texas Coast IPA; my favorite one that I tried and not overly hoppy which I enjoyed -Tasty AF - PB and Choc Milk Stout; it was pretty good and you could taste the PB and choc. They sell growlers and 6 packs of canned beer too if you want to take some home with you. There was a Tekken Gaming Tournament going on at the table next to us. The bartender told me that they host monthly gaming tournaments at the brewery. They also have weekly events like Taco Tuesday and trivia on Wednesdays. They have a room that can be rented for private events. The ambiance of the tasting room is super chill and the space is pretty large. Thanks to YE Tiffany, I heard about this brewery being nearby so several of us stopped in here after our burger event. I'm amazed by how many beers you can select here. Some breweries usually have about 10-12 beers available. This one has 26 based on my count; 26! I would've loved to try them all but since I had to drive and could only stay for a couple, I decided on the blood orange berliner. While it looked like grapefruit juice from the outside, the taste and texture was everything I wanted in a blood orange brew: flavors of the fruit with a moderate aftertaste, small amount of hops, and light carbonation. While I could've ordered a different beer afterwards, I stuck with the same beer and ordered a 2nd one since I couldn't shake how refreshing it was. You can sample as many beers you please and they have beer flights so you can have multiple tastes. There's board games available and a few large tvs for sports/event watching. I heard they also host video game tournaments here which I would definitely attend. Nothing like beers mixed with a button-mashing competition to see who takes the championship belt for best 'insert fighting video-game similar to street fighter here.' We stopped in to this establishment after a UYE in Dickinson. Our bar server was awesome, really good service. I wanted to try a few Brews before I made my official order, and was able to. I tried the "Berliner" and fell in love. It was a bit sweet/sour, super light, pink lemonde- in color. Great if your not looking for something heavy, almost like a Shandy. Few other yelpers got some cool/interesting beer flights. This brewery has a very large selection and they seem open to help you figure out what direction you want to go in. There was a seperate room, next to the seating area thats on the bar side, I assume for private events/parties. I saw people come in a pick up 6 pack cans of there brews. The place seems to have lots of regulars, that come in for a drink at the bar and then dip. But the server was very welcoming to newbies as well! Saloon Door Brewing was a great time, with great beer and awesome staff. The bartenders were super helpful, letting us try out as many and as much as we wanted. They've got so many tasty beers on tap. From bitter to balanced to toasty to sweet. There were tons of dessert tasting options so it was perfect for a post burger lunch treat. They've got 5 beer flights and you can select each of your 5 flights without stipulations. There was a Tekken tournament going on behind our table as we drank. They seem to have regular events like that there from looking at their calendar. I'll also add that they have very clean restrooms. I enjoyed this brewery and would gladly return. I give 5 stars to the Doc Hoppiday IPA alone, and 4 stars to the brewery as a whole for 2 reasons: there isn't much food (some snacks and they had a tent outside when we went) and my unfortunate usual brewery complaint- they allow kids. I'll say it again... if a person needs to be 21 to enter a brewery's website, they need to be 21 to enter the brewery. Makes too much sense right? Ban the children pleeeeease! There is literally everywhere else for families to go. Otherwise, these beers are DELICIOUS! I saw on social media that Tru Dogs food truck was going to be here and after trying to hunt them down for over a year I made sure to take advantage of them being local . I came here with my 3 small kids and husband . Place is kid friendly but if you have a small child that needs a high chair , make sure you bring in your stroller because high chairs are not offered. Just so happened that day the brewer had a flight with girl scout cookies to pair . My favorites were the Tasty AF & the vanilla ale . Vanilla ale was super light and the tasty af was unique in flavor and just TASTY AF . Place is super hipster and I think plaid with skinny's and a hat is almost required ... but I enjoyed the relaxed vibes and love that they have a tray of games such as jenga , dominos & cards to play with while you enjoy your beverage of choice . On my visit, it seemed like they are still a relatively young entrant to the local brewery scene. That's ok. I was meeting a friend for a beer in the Clear Lake area and he decided we'd meet there. I'd say it was a nice place to have a beer and to buy some 'to go'beer directly from the brewer, which is especially nice if you live or work in this area. They do not have food but I believe they have pizza delivered regularly. Very clean place, cold A/C, nice bathrooms, and helpful staff. But it wasn't busy at all when I visited so getting some samples wasn't difficult. Not a 'cheap beer place' but they are not a 'cheap quality beer.' read more

A wonderful find in a nondescript industrial park in the Webster/Clear Lake Area (but easy to find). Start with the beer. It's good. Really good. They lean toward the stouts and porters but always have some lighter to mix in if that's your palate (to be honest, my palate changes with the seasons and my mood). While I love a heavy, for a good session I need some lighter options (I'm a grazer, never one to simply stick with one type all day). The beers I've had are all good, with my preferences toward my palate, among the best in the area. They tend toward sweet, think chocolates and peanut butters but not overwhelming, great balance. If you aren't sure at all, they'll offer a small taste before you buy. Flights (five beers in smaller, sample glasses) are highly recommended to start. It's a paper transaction where you write down your order and off they go to make it. They seem willing to bring to your table but I've found it easier to wait to the side (so they can get to the next customer during busy times). The atmosphere is beer hall-ish. One big room high ceiling (you can't really see the brewing area) with large, wooden tables for big groups (dozen or more), or tables for 4 or 6 if that fits your group size. When I've been there (weekdays), there hasn't been a DJ or loud music otherwise so I can say it was quiet and great for conversation, others might think it was loud their day. A few big screen TVs around, not a sports bar by any means but will have something to watch if interested. I honestly don't recall the food options when I was there so can't speak to that. There's a small parking lot in front of their store, or across the access drive there are larger lots seemingly intended for other non-retail businesses in the park which are not occupied after during their open hours. Prices are friendly, I believe $5 or less for a pint, the flights below $10. If you're a beer connoisseur, I recommend putting this on your list to check out. read more

An absolutely wonderful brewery, and I would even claim it as the best outside downtown. I would love to see the place expand a bit, as their beer deserves a wider audience. The somewhat hidden location probably doesn't help--I wouldn't call it hard to find, but you wouldn't know it's there from just driving by. The beer leans a little on the side of stouts, but they do offer a little of everything. Keep in mind you probably won't enjoy a beer offering flavors you already don't like. Very clean, amazing staff, plenty of events, music, and games. My only complaint is that the food trucks can be hit or miss, but outside food is always welcomed since they don't really have a kitchen. I go about once a month, and would love to become a regular. I absolutely love this brewery. Their creative dessert craft beers are always delicious. I follow them on Instagram so I know exactly when and what beers are coming out so I can try them first. The peach imperial cream ale is my absolute favorite and reminds me of Georgia where half of my family lives. I also forget that it's a 9% beer because it's just so refreshing. Craft beer breweries and craft beer pubs are popping up here and there in the area which makes a beer drinker like me excited! Saloon Door is a good addition of these kind of places in this side of town. It's a brewery with a pretty solid selection of different type of beers. The location is kind of weird since it is in a strip with offices around it.There is enough parking though; I have visited the brewery three times and have not had any parking trouble. As you walk in you can see plenty of tables, a bar area and two big projectors where they show games. As far as the menu goes, they have a good selection of different styles of beer and they serve food. If you're in the mood for board/card games they have that as well. If you want to try their beers first, they let you sample each beer for free. If you're still undecided with what to get after they also serve 5-beer flights which I really recommend! My favorite beer was definitely the peanut butter stout which smelled and tasted like peanut butter. I did not expect that much peanut butter characteristics, but I was surprised with how good it actually was. Also on the plus side, they do random free brewery tours if you're interested. Service was also great, everyone was friendly and very patient as we were trying to figure out which beer we wanted to have. Overall, I like this brewery and I will definitely be back! read more

Great new local spot! Stopped in here to see a friend- parking lot in the front is small but additional parking around back. Also it's in a business park so there is plenty extra spaces around there. Walked in and snagged a table near the front- has a country western theme- hence the name. We tried several beers- started with the IPA & Peanut Butter Milk Stout. Following that was the Pale Ale & Dreamsicle. Every single beer was great- IPA's were hoppy, the PB Milk Stout had a hint of PB without being too sweet and the Dreamsicle was so unique and full of flavor. Also- the beers aren't named yet, but be patient, names are coming. We got to walk outside and chat with the brewmaster and see the setup. They were brewing while we were there and have some good things coming! Staff was fabulous and they have quite a selection already on tap. Stop in and grab a beer, you won't be disappointed.
