We took my wife here for Mother's Day early, as I knew it would be a madhouse as the day progressed. No reservations are possible, but the online wait list on Yelp works fantastic, it even tells you how many parties are ahead of you in addition to the estimated timeline. We tried several things, and everything was very good. The Cinnamon Toast sticks were epic in taste and size, and the biscuit that came with the Spanish omelette was huge, but the omelette WASN'T - That's my primary complaint, the value stops there... This place ain't cheap, and when most of the egg dishes run $12-$14 the portions were pretty pathetic - NO way those were 3 egg omelettes. The Migas and corned beef hash were also both excellent, but the prices high and portions embarrassingly small. I'm sure we'll return, but I will be making some very strategic choices... read more

Great breakfast with friends. We loved the option to put our names in the waitlist using Yelp. The morning cocktails were all great including the mimosas, bloody mary's and morning margarita. I had the Peacemaker Benedict and chose Cochon and corned beef both of which were delicious. In our party there were two omelets and the migas all of which received rave reviews. Our daughter tried the Goo Goo Cluster pancake which was fantastic! We will definitely be back! read more

First, the good: Bloody Mary was excellent, as were the biscuits and candied bacon. Bad: service. It was awful. We were there an hour, and the restaurant was not crowded. This was our first time at Ruby Sunshine in Franklin. We never got the chance to eat there so, it may be good food. Management of the restaurant was sub par though. We were given a wait time of 35 minutes for our party of 3. 45 minutes rolled around and when we went to check in our seating status we were told that they weren't currently seating because the kitchen was backed up. Open tables...not seating...15+ parties waiting. Poor management. The hostess said she was doing everything she could...that should have been helping get the food out faster then. 1st impression was not good enough to suggest the restaurant to someone else or go back. read more

There was nothing bad about this restaurant, but there wasn't much great about it either. The hostesses and servers were very nice. There was also someone walking around checking on tables which was great! The overall vibe was very 'cookie cutter.' It felt commercial and out of place for Franklin. The food was pretty bland and some of the combinations were strange. Avocado toast with smoked salmon would seem to be avocado spread on toast with lox on top. When I got it, it was some kind of 'salmon salad' on toast with a cup of pico de Gallo on the side with avocado mixed in. Very strange flavors being combined without any cohesiveness. From a culinary perspective I think the flavor formulation could be improved. Also, everything had eggs. That's obviously a breakfast/brunch staple, but it'd be great to offer some allergy-friendly options in the future. If you like simple brunch, this might be the place for you. If you are picky and/or have a culinary background, maybe not so much? I would like to go back to try the drinks, though. I've heard the Bloody Mary is great! read more

This review is based on our "wait" experience. We appreciated that you could get on the wait list via Yelp early. We were a party of 6, and had a wait quote 47-63 minutes. We arrived just before the morning minimum time quoted and before the time we were told to check in via text. When we arrived - we were quoted another 45-60 minutes. We decided not to wait, and went to another restaurant, and not more than 15 minutes after we left, got a text that our table was almost ready. We know it's opening week, but with two other restaurants- you would expect that they would have better systems in place. read more

Brought my wife here for her birthday on Easter Morning for a brunch at 9:15 as a party of 5. We ended up waiting 2 hrs before we got sat. The restaurant is not very big, so if you have a party above 4, they don't appear to be built to accommodate very well. Besides the long wait, the food was outstanding and reasonably priced. Lots of Nuts and Eggs involved so be careful if your dealing with food allergies as we are. We asked the waitress to make sure our sons food was prepared in a clean pan separate from nuts & eggs and they we're happy to. I went for breakfast the first day they opened. The menu has many breakfast selections. I ordered a combination of two of their "eggs Benedict" choices. One was basically pulled pork and a poached egg on a biscuit. The other was a piece of breaded chicken on a biscuit with a poached egg. The pulled pork and chicken were acceptable, if unremarkable. The eggs were a little overdone. The biscuits were dry, hard and disappointing. I will not order anything on a biscuit there again. The coffee had about a teaspoon of coarse grounds in the bottom of it. Service was pleasant, attentive and helpful. My check came to $21. I'll give it one more try, but this was an expensive disappointment, which is a shame because I work in the building. read more

Great breakfast. Every kind of dish you can imagine. Great seafood dishes. I'm not really into cajan or spicy food but they have so much more than that. I've been here many times and never disappoints. Wait staff is friendly and very attentive. One visit I had, our server shared he was from Richmond Virginia, my husband is from. VA beach. Talked for a bit about why he moved here. Every time coming, servers are super friendly! Franklin is that kind of place. This restaurant was alright. My wife and I ate here recently. I grew up and Franklin and have spent a lot of my life here. I remember when this restaurant went up, and how the line was wrapped around the building. So my wife and I checked it out. To be honest, I think I had a misunderstanding of what to expect. I was thinking a nicer breakfast place similar to first watch or the such. What we encountered was good food, a decent atmosphere, and decent service. They were prompt, kind, and respectful. The reason I gave this place three stars is that I paid around $50-$60 for some Benedict and stuffed French toast and coffee, and felt like my money wasn't well spent. I love to cook, so I can at times be intense when visiting a restaurant. However, I wasn't impressed with the food. For the price point, location, and busyness of the restaurant, I don't think they delivered. My expectations were higher. For reference, we split the fried chicken and smoke salmon Benedict, two coffees, and the French toast. It wasn't anything unique in my opinion. I could've made it at home with a simple recipe. My opinion is that it's high quality ingredients, decent cooking, with a decent atmosphere. Not a bad experience, just not what I was anticipating. read more
