My Partner and I came to this diner on our way back from picking up our new Iphones from Meteirie. We wanted somewhere that was open early and had quick service, and I always default to an Egg Benedict when it comes to breakfast and brunch. Upon reviews and recommendations by locals I decided to give this restaurant chain a go. I LOVED IT! The service was pretty fast considering we both ordered a mix-and-match of our benedicts. I got the fried chicken benedict and the Cochon, which is similar to pulled pork (or perhaps it is?). The hollandaise sauce on the benedict was splendid, as were the flavors of the entire benedict. I actually didn't quite like the fried chicken one as much, probably due to the dryness of the fried chicken. To each their own. Now I'm reading on other people's review that they have shrimps and grits, a Southern classic. Since I've been in New Orleans I haven't had much of a chance to try too many of the Southern classic. I'll definitely be back to try this dish! read more

We came here for breakfast on our first day in the French Quarter and it didn't disappoint! As a vegetarian in a city that's known for seafood, alligator and many other carnivorous delights, breakfast and brunch is what I look forward to ... Started off with a boozy iced coffee (minus the whip) and it was delightful. You could still taste the coffee but with a little extra kick since it is vacation after all. Next came the breakfast tacos which were delicious and super filling and then the heavenly french toast bites! I'm not a huge fan of sweet breakfasts but these are a must - perfectly airy & fluffy in the middle with the right amount of crispy goodness on the outside! And last but not least, hands down to the Staff! We had a location mishap and instead of making us wait again in line, they were able to seat us super quickly after everything was straightened out. They were super friendly, made great menu suggestions and down right awesome!! Thank you all for a great start to vacation read more

WOW. My girlfriends and I had brunch here and it was everything I had hoped it would be. I got the Peacemaker which gave you the option to choose from two of their eggs Benedict's. I chose the Chicken St. Charles and Shrimp Boogaloo. The poached eggs on each were perfect. I preferred the Chicken St. Charles but loved the sauce on the Shrimp Boogaloo. The other items ordered were a breakfast sandwich with amazing candied bacon, pulled pork eggs Benedict and an omelette with goat cheese. All amazing. I got the creamy vanilla iced coffee to go and it was simply delicious. This location is fairly new and close to the French Quarter. You can put your name on a waitlist using the Yelp app which was super helpful for us. Do yourself a favor and try this place out when visiting New Orleans! read more

I was really looking forward to this place and the food was pretty good. We put ourselves on the waitlist and it said 30 minutes but ended up taking an hour and a half. They sat us split tables so we didn't sit together, and my food came after everyone else at my table was finished. Some of the servers were really nice, but others seemed frazzled and nonchalant. read more

Very popular spot, so it's advisable to get on the waitlist as you start out. We ended up only having to wait a few minutes because of that. Service was excellent, fast and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious - best eggs Benedict we've ever had, and wonderful fried green tomatoes. The coffee cups are generous as are the mimosa glasses. Highly recommended. read more

Fantastic place to have breakfast in New Orleans. This location is on the edge of the French Quarter within walking distance of many hotels. Call to be added to the wait list (be aware if the waitlist gives you a time it will probably be less than that). The hostess is amazing! Beautiful smile and warm greeting with Southern charm. Mrs Gigi was our waitress. She was wonderful!! The atmosphere has creole French music playing in the background - a very relaxed feeling. The food is amazing! Eggs and bacon and grits like any breakfast area or opt for New Orleans classics like stuffed French toast or bananas foster!!! You cannot go wrong with eating here!! read more

What a fun and yummy place! Alejandro A made our meal fun - can't wait to go back to see him & another wonderful meal

It was good but not great and that's a problem with so many nearby French Quarter restaurants. The atmosphere was lively & the customer service was excellent. Checked-in vía the Yelp app option and likely saved at least 5 minutes by doing that. I loved the Eggs Benedict Peacemaker option where you can pick between any eggs benedict plates. I thought I hit it out of the park once I saw that delicious plate placed in front of me. (I was starving and the large portion was right up my alley). Unfortunately, both were cold. You could still taste the fresh, quality ingredients but it tasted like it was cooked over an hour prior to being served. Still finished the plate but would have loved for the dish to be served hot & fresh. read more

Amazing food! So flavorful and fresh. Presentation is great and ALL the staff is so friendly. We visited twice during our stay in New Orleans because it was so delicious! The staff was helpful with suggestions on things to do locally, and even remembered us AND our exact order from our first visit. Can't recommend this place enough. A must visit breakfast/brunch spot during your visit to New Orleans! read more

Wow! Didn't expect to stand in line to wait for a table for breakfast. But once inside and started on some great coffee I started to understand why. The menu holds some specialties and the the usual breakfast fare. BTW we did not have to wait long for a table. Now my husband never eats breakfast but today he had French toast and he loved it. I had a salmon eggs Benedict, son had pancakes that he thought were the best he'd ever eaten, and his girlfriend had fried chicken with hollandaise sauce now everyone's plate was cleaned empty! Great place with great breakfast food! read more

Great food! Great atmosphere! Love the catfish and grits! Vanilla spice latte is amazing!

Great breakfast spot. We walked right in on a weekday around 8:30am. I'd been here previously where it was very busy for breakfast. This time the pace was very relaxing. I like to carbo up before any type of activity. On this day we were doing a Segway tour so I needed energy. I went with the 3 stack buttermilk pancakes with two strips of bacon. Unlike back home where the butter is scooped onto your pancakes, here their whipped butter is in these little packages on the table. Just as well. The pancakes were very fluffy. I did the best I could. Ate about 2/3. Coffee refills unlimited. We were able to split the check using two credit cards. That's very hospitable. We found that to be the case with many of Nawlins' eateries. Great service and very attentive. read more

Delicious! Definitely use the online wait list. It was an hour wait but we only had to "wait" ten. Food was great and service was speedy and friendly. I got the shrimp and grits which were excellent. Son got the Chicken St Charles and loved them. Mimosa was delicious and even got one to go. Great atmosphere and good food. read more

It was kind of a chaotic mess with the staff. The wait time was long but I can honestly say that neither the wait time or the snap list with the staff would diminish my five-star rating. Everything and I mean everything was outstanding. read more

Ordered a breakfast sandwich through Yelp. Arrived at the restaurant 20 minutes later. The bartender gal was super nice and made my additional 15 minute wait relatively pleasant. I got to watch all sorts of delicious looking food sail by, destined for tables. All indicators pointed to deliciousness. I had high hopes, but my breakfast sandwich was really terrible. Dry cold bun, barely warm eggs and grated cheese not even close to melted. By far the worst breakfast sandwich I've ever had, and I've had a lot of them. Very disappointing, and in New Orleans of all places, where good food abounds. The only reason there are any stars on this review is for the bartender. If you're looking for takeout, go elsewhere. read more

Ended up getting the Migas and Shrimp and grits in September. The food was good although I thought the shrimp and grits were okay. The wait time for a take out I waited about 45 mins to an hour and as a customer I wish the time to wait was communicated before charging for the order as a take out. read more

The service here is absolutely amazing. We went for Sunday brunch, and there were people everywhere. The person working at the hostess stand was extremely friendly. She made a point to remember our names. We had a chill server too. We ordered drinks. The mimosa had a lot of champagne in it #yassss The Bloody Mary was just okay. I enjoyed the biscuit the most. The omelette was good but nothing to write home about. They do sanitize tables between customers #doubleyasss. read more

I want to love this place but it fell short in a few key areas. I will say first and foremost that the fried chicken Benedict is a 10/10. Aside from that, service was ok, nothing above or below average. The place feels like it should be very high end, but the food was very average other than the Benedict. Breakfast potatoes were bland as can be, eggs were sloppy. I enjoyed my meal but felt like I'd enjoy my own cooking more for most of the menu that we had read more

Ruby Slipper remains a MUST EAT AT spot for me whenever I go to New Orleans. Today did not disappoint and was probably better than I remember. I had the gulf shrimp omelet and biscuit. Everyone at my table left very happy. They were also happy to accommodate a toddler stroller and bring us a high chair. Staff is super friendly and attentive. Note: waits can be over two hours long. Holy hollandaise. This place has an amazing eggs Benedict menu. I ordered the fried green tomato Benedict and I was not disappointed. Delicious meal, great service. The decor was very charming. I highly recommend this place!

This is probably the best breakfast/brunch place that I have ever been too. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were huge. The coffee was great too and the servers are extremely friendly. We got there early so there was no wait, but the line was ~45 mins long by the time we left. This is a popular place for good reason, so get there early. The pancakes were buttery and soft, the shrimp and grits was perfect and biscuits and gravy were delicious. The star was 'The Trifecta' which is eggs cochon, chicken st. charles and bayou shrimp benedicts. This is a must-have dish! Would highly recommend this place for brunch. read more

Loved this cute brunch spot. I had the chicken St Charles and the eggs cochon. Food was a great portion and very flavorful. Best eggs Benedict I've ever had. I love the fact that they put it on a biscuit instead of the traditional English muffin. Biscuit was moist and had a great consistency. The eggs cochon was my favorite. The mimosa was delicious as well to wash it all down with. I definitely want to come back here on my next visit. read more
