I was worried at first, they were busy and we had an appointment but weren't seated until 20 minutes later. Amy Walked in and took me right away and started quickly, almost too quickly that I thought "oh great she's going to rush." I underestimated her talent. I have had my nails done and 1,000,001 places but never quite got the nails I was expecting. I thought that my expectations could not be managed. Boy was I wrong with Amy. This was the first time I tried SNS and she did the most amazing job; everything from the shape of my nail to the color and the way it looked with such quick Precision I cannot rate her any higher. What an amazing little spa find. I was seated for a pedicure right away and the woman who took care of me was very friendly and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. I have been a customer for several months and have been happy. Unfortunately, today I went in for, what I did not know, was a special procedure. After taking off the polish, I was left with aluminum foil on my fingers and assured the owner was on her way to complete the process. I waited for 1/2 hour & finally said I cannot wait much longer, particularly with the chemicals on my nails. Oh, seems that I was forgotten. 40 minutes later, the owner arrives, whining about how she has to work on Sunday. No apology, no nothing. Instead, I was the one was faulted because I did not know this was a special procedure only the owner could perform and she did not want to work Sundays. I will not be returning. If the owner had been smart, she would have apologized and offered a free service. Instead, she loses a customer and gets a blistering review on Yelp. read more

I almost don't want to review this nail salon because I want it to remain my hidden secret, but I have gotten more compliments on my manicure than I ever have before in my life. $18 for a gel polish change people! Now when you read that, I know your a bit skeptical. But one week later my polish is immaculate. I'm an Esthetician and I work with my hands, constantly in and out of various chemicals and scrubs, and one week later I have not had a single chip or peel. The customer service I received was outstanding. From the moment I walked in I felt completely taken care of from start to finish. An older woman did my pedicure and she did a stellar job. She really took her time to make sure everything was perfect. And I tipped the heck out of that woman for touching my neglected toes. This is my absolute favorite place to get my nails done. Close to my house and the prices are fair. Everyone always does a great job and they are so friendly and always remember me :) I usually just get the deluxe pedicure along with a manicure. I recently got gel nails and they are perfect! Paid $65 for my nails, asked for full set Acrylic with blue powder tips. noticed he wasn't doing it right bc I've had them done for the passed 15 years. Stopped him twice to ask him about it and he assured me it was right. Nope. Ended up not getting anything close to what I wanted, he just filed my nailed and dipped them in blue powder painting them all solid blue and he stilled charged me full price. I have lived in Jacksonville for 5 years and have tried many different nail salons. I have thick nails and love to get gel polish, however, I had started to notice that they would always peel after one week. I went to ruby nails for a pedi and was asked by Jenny if she could do gel for my mani. I told her my experience with gel in the past, but she insisted. BEST decision ever. She is very attentive to detail and cleans up my cuticles and nail bed like I've never experienced before. It's been a year now and I am as loyal as they come. I am not picky with my pedicure, but every other week like clock work I make an appointment with Jenny for my gel manicure. This nail salon is right down the street from my house, so I was eager to try it. I love finding nail salons in walking distance. I talked my boyfriend into getting a pedicure while I was getting a gel manicure because we had a ton of time to kill on a random Saturday. I was really impressed. Not only is the environment clean and welcoming, but the staff is so friendly and really takes the time and care that a manicure should take. I hate spending $25 on a gel manicure and have the person cut corners or rush through it. Granted it was a pretty slow day, but we both had great experiences (my gel manicure and my boyfriend's pedi). It was his first time and they made his experience very comfortable and enjoyable (since he was basically getting a foot massage!). The most important thing, however, is how well my gel manicure held up. I have been having a very hard time getting these to last more than a week, probably due to the heat I put on my nails doing my hair, and having the habit of chewing on them. I'm from Orlando and while on vacation, saw the reviews of Rubys and decided to try it out. I got a classic spa pedicure and it was honestly the best pedicure I've ever had. The man who did it took his time and it basically has 3 leg and foot massages in the BASIC pedicure. A scrub, cooling gel, and lotion massage. And, to be honest, I like men pedicurists because they always have stronger massages. It was amazing! They have Essie colors which is rare back home. I am very happy with the service! read more
