Thank goodness for daughters, who else can I take to get pedicures with me and still look like a manly man? But what do I care if I don't look manly, getting a pedicure is something everyone should do. VP was on my radar of places to try. I saw 10 five star reviews, so I tthought my daughter and I would give it a try and we are really glad we did. Our first good impression was pricing, really fair pricing from standard pedicure $25 to Royal $45 catered to what you want. I opted for the Diamond ($40) which included scrubs, mask, hot stone and extensive massages which is my favorite. My daughter got a manicure which also runs from basic $15 to Royal $45. Both of us thought they took their time, were never rushed and we got excellent value for what we chose. They use liners and sterilized utensils for each new customer, so it was very clean. I will say it again, no one was hurried or trying to get to the next customer. They took plenty of time and you really got everything you were supposed to. It was a very chill atmosphere. There was no communication issues, which you can get from time to time It is not a huge place, there were four or five therapists, but they all seemed excellent. Parking is plentiful and they do take reservations or walk ins. English is spoke, along with Cambodian and everyone had a great attitude. read more

I tried out VP nails the other day after reading other reviews as well as a friend who recommended I try out this nail salon. I got a royal pedicure and a dip manicure. Overall, I thought that the prices were very reasonable. The "top of the line" pedicure was $45 and their dip powder manicure started at $35 and up. Overall, I found the facility very clean. I appreciated that for the pedicure they use new tools on everyone and line the tub with a plastic liner. The nail tech who did my pedicure scratched me while scrapping my calluses causing me to bleed so I am docking a star for that- she should have beenn more careful and checked to make sure she wasn't hurting me. She was incredibly nice though and was able to hold a good conversation. Where they shine though, is when Van does your nails. She is the owner/manager of the salon and absolutely wonderful. I got a specialty dip manicure done- I've had many done so I tend to be picky. She was extremely careful and attentive to ensure I was happy every step of the way. Literally one of the TOP 3 nail salons I have been to in the country!! (I've been to a LOT) Friendly, knowledgeable, quick but competent, clean & reasonably priced!! This WILL be my go-to salon for the remainder of my stay in Jax (4-6mos for work). I am very reluctant to try new places but I needed somewhere closer to home so based off recommendations I decided to give VP Nails a try. I walked-in needing a fill in and was immediately helped. Masda completed my service and fixed everything I didn't like about my previous full set. He knew exactly what I wanted and did far better than I could have expected. Overall I had a very pleasant experience. Was able to get in quick, I must have came that the right time of the day. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. Very nice people work here. My pedicure was very good. The basic price pedicure was 35 dollars. Extra for gel. My pedicure was nice and my toes look really good. Knocking a star as I didn't see my tools come out a new package and I saw the same lady take her tote she used on my feet to the lady after me with the same tools. I want to give this place 5 starts but that really is what got me. Also she just changed the lining of my chair after me and did not spray anything down. I don't know if that was just my lady or does everyone do that. Hopefully this can be addressed! So many diseases can be spread this way. So, I went to this place bc is close to my work, I've called ahead and asked if they had any availability and if their manicure comes with massage, the lady said yes so I went. I decided to get a gold manicure and gel... this was the result, I've never been so unhappy w a nail salon before and trust me, I've had some horrible experiences. The lady who did it was very polite and even said she wouldn't charge the gel since I've told her I was going somewhere else to get it removed, i still paid full price and gave a tip because as much as I hated the job I do respect her time. Had to go somewhere to get my nails done for my moms wedding, I read a couple reviews about near by nail salons and I wasn't impressed til I got to VP Nails reviews. They had a lot of good reviews so I made an appointment and I'm super happy with my choice. One they're clean, the tubs are clean and tools. The massage chairs are super amazing/relaxing. Two they actually talk to you and have fun. Three I almost never go out of the box and change it up. I usually get French squared nothing fancy but this time I decided to go with a coffin shape with a color to match my dress. And David made them beautiful! They deserve 100 stars. The ladies there were so sweet and truly talented at nails! My mom and 2 sisters got in last minute and they had us in and our in an hour and a half.
