Finding a new nail salon is not easy! When you've been going to the same people for years they know you and there's a comfort level that's there, but I desperately needed to get my gel polish fixed as two nails had peeled off. My usual nail salon is an hour from my workplace, so that wouldn't work. I found nice reviews on Nail Tip and I'm glad I gave them a chance today! I was able to make a same day appointment on their website as long as it was a 4 hour advance notice. I loved this! I chose the date, time, service and picked a nail tech. The nail salon is in a small strip mall, don't blink you'll miss the turn in. I was greeted with a huge smile, which made me happy and put me at ease. I mean I felt like I was cheating on my regular nail people! They gave me the gel colors to look at and I was impressed with their selection. I waited about 10 minutes to be seen, which wasn't bad at all. Chan was the person I chose to do my nails. She was absolutely fantastic! She talked to me the whole time I was there and made me feel so comfortable. Everyone that walked through the doors, she addressed and knew by name, so I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks she's fantastic. She was very quick and thorough with my nails. She made sure I was happy with the length, shape and the color before she moved on to the next step. This was very appreciated. The price was on point. The job was done well and timely. The ease of getting an appointment and not having to sit on the phone is a huge plus. I will definitely be back and will continue to see Chan for my nails. read more

This was my 1st time here. I specifically looked on Yelp for a new nail salon that had good reviews anywhere in Jacksonville and we were not disappointed. They have all of the newest nail colors, dips, gel colors. They have 4 different pedicures, I believe we chose the deluxe one. It was very relaxing, the massage chair was great. The atmosphere was perfect, the music wasn't too loud and I had SNS done on my nails. While I was getting my pedicure I started looking at their other Yelp reviews I saw the beautiful nail art and I couldn't help myself but to request if I could get a couple nails done. Well, after trying to avoid my girlfriend's nail salon I finally gave in and went. But I went because my left toe nail was looking hideous. My girlfriend's nail person that she trust is named "Geth". So Geth took one look at my nail and said yup she could be able to fix my nail and bring it back from the dead. Of course I didn't believe her but to my surprise she used a spiny machine and got rid of all of the dead nail and cutting it down as much as she could so that it would grow all better. I was in fear that it would hurt and it didn't hurt one bit. She did an awesome job. But now on to my Fantastic Pedicure from I believe her name was Annette. Her hands were built by an Angel. With every stroke of the nail clipper to every other tool she used on my feet, I was uncomfortable at all. I'm a guy and I also play sports and I apologized before she started and she just smiled and said no worries and let's get to it and so she did. She massages my feet and toes so delicately that I could have fallen asleep that's hot amazing she was. The seat I was seated in had the back massage going so I was blissfully in heaven. I love this place! The atmosphere when you walk in feels light and airy. My favorite part of this nail salon is that the employees talk to you and keep the talking to each other to a minimum. That may not bother other people but for me it speaks volumes to how they care about their customers and the experience. I never feel like they are talking about me which is nice. And no, I'm not paranoid but as a foreign language speaker, it's basic etiquete to avoid speaking another language when someone who doesn't understand is around. The nail work is beautiful and my most recent acrylic set lasted me about 3 weeks. Why not longer you ask? Because I'm ROUGH on my nails. I do a lot with my hands and tend to pick at them so the fact that they lasted that long should tell you how good the work was. I went I for a simple manicure - nails cut and filed and cuticles cleaned up. The man at the desk asked me what I wanted and immediately showed me to a chair. He did a fantastic job and the price was great, especially compared to most nail salons that would charge full price for something like that. Thou provides unmatchable service! Not only does she deliver impressive design with great attention to detail, even directly stating she won't let you leave with work she isn't proud of, she also does it insanely fast! Typically a full set with intricate design and shaping takes about 45 minutes give or take a few! She remembers great details of all customers and makes great efforts to remember ever name and greet guest. Every time I come here I am happy and love getting to see what she does! read more

A really nice place to get my mani pedi done by work. I got power dip nails which came out beautiful. The pedicure was awesome and everyone took their time to make sure they did a good job. The gel that I got done for my toes he said would last a really long time but next day I noticed chipping on both big toes. After that a little time in the water and the gel on one of my big toes came completely off. I don't know if that's normal since I don't normally get gel but kinda disappointing since it's only 2 days since getting everything done and being told it's really durable. I would still go back and just get regular polish and powder dip. read more

I came here to get my nails done and Tu did a horrible job! After 5 days, my gel was chipping and fading! Nevertheless, when she did my full set, she did not fill the acrylic to my cuticles and this made my nails look like I needed a fill in completely! I came into Nail Tip and none of the three females that work there greeted me or told me how long the wait was or asked what I was looking to get done. I was the only one waiting and then two females came after me and then were seated before me. After seating the second female was seated, one of the nail techs "Sarah" I believe then asked me what I would like to get to done and pulled out a freakin appointment book after 20 mins or so of me waiting. If this shop is appointment only they need to make that known. Me waiting for 20 mins to just get spoken to is absolutely ridiculous. 2-27-2017. I made an appointment here after reading great reviews, huge mistake! I arrived 15 minutes early. Someone seated me & wrapped my nails to remove my gel polish, leaving her client to do this. Never introducing herself. Another client came in & asked about getting a pedi & she said she didn't know if she had time & checked her book, I "M STILL SOAKING MY NAILS, she proceeds to remove her polish, apply fake nails & trim the fake nails. NEVER ONCE CHECKING ONE ME, SHE KNOWS THIS IS MY 1st TIME THERE ALSO!! Meantime. 20 minutes later, I've had time to look around & notice how FILTHY DIRTY the Salon is, I noticed the floor immediately needed to be swept, but during my 20 min wait, I had time to see how FILTHY the PEDICURE CART was, it didn't look like it had been wiped off in a year, the MANICURE table where I was seated was DIRTY, there was a finger nail on it! DISGUSTING! I jumped up, removed the tinfoil from my fingernails, washed my hands & got the heck out of there! They had clients,I don't know how or why. It's such a FITHLY PLACE! I am giving them 2 stars not because of the nails but the staff. One particular man to be specific that has tattoos all over his arms and has an atrocious attitude. I have now had my nails done by him twice. Every time you try to tell him about the shape you want he says "I know ma'am you told me already" when I hadn't said a single word to him. Then I tell him DO NOT file the sides of my nails just the tips he says "I know you already told me" but as soon as he picks up the nail file he goes straight for the side and files it. So you don't know. Then I go to pay and he tells me there is an extra charge for length when if my nails were any shorter I wouldn't have nails at all. I refuse to EVER have him do my nails again.
