I've been going to this nail salon for years. Several have opened closer to me and I continue making the drive because of the service. Today that changed. The nail tech was rude, continued to grind my nails to the point of continued pain. When id let her know it was hurting she'd roll hers eyes and yank my hand. I had my tips removed and asked for gel on MY nails. She agreed to a simple design and then kept telling my it wasn't feasible on my length. When I told her fine just do a French manicure she gave me an attitude and told me I should just get a fill. She over grinded and then attempted to fill my nails with layers and layers of polish (which were much longer before she hacked them down shorter with a file). I left there in tears. She charged me $67!!!!! For gel on MY nails. I will not return. This is abusive to say the least. read more

I recently moved to the area and went to Bartram nails for the first time yesterday for a mani/pedi. Everyone was friendly, and my nails do look good. However, the cuticles on three of my fingers were cut so short today they are red and painful. I am unable to put weight on my upper right foot because it was scrubbed so hard it is red, bloody, and swollen. I jerked my foot back when the hard scrubbing started and it stopped. I didn't know how bad it is because it is more on the bottom of my foot and didn't see it when there. It was after I walked on it that the pain started. I have never given a bad review before for any business, but I cannot recommend this establishment. read more

And after reading other reviews both here and on Google, the conclusion is the service you receive can be very inconsistent based on who you get. I had the same person each time. I recently got my eyelash extensions done by Nikki and I have nothing but good things to say. It was my first time getting extensions and she helped me feel at ease and took extra care for me. I trusted her on what looked good based on what I suggested and I love how it turned out. She also did a recheck on my lashes as they were for graduation. This is my go-to salon. The nail technicians are very well trained and they have a great variety of colors and styles. Fun! Importantly, they are also competent. I often get an ingrown toenail and Bartram Nails is the only salon with a large number of well-trained team members who can consistently take care of my issue and I know I will walk out pain free! Unlike other salons where they may say that they removed the ingrown toenail, but they actually did not, and then I have to live with pain until at least the next pedicure. This is why I go out of my way to come to Bartram Nails. Also, Vinnie, Cathy, Chris, and all the team are really nice and hospitable; they know me and they welcome me every visit. The other day these ladies 100% saved my life when I made the sad mistake of going to another Salon who completely let me down. I called in with my problem and manager at this store had me come in to assess the damage so we can see how they could fix it, they did just that and more! They helped recommend the size and shape of what I was looking for and applied the French tip color so quickly and so precise! They took care of me when I was feeling seriously sad and discouraged from another Salon. 10/10 Service at this establishment Will absolutely be coming back. My acrylic removal was grueling work for the techs, so I understand working quickly on my gel polish afterwards. It was a little rushed, but nothing too bad to complain about. I have been to this salon twice and I won't go back. The first time was good. I asked for a full set at the time because some of my nails were lifting and wanted a fresh start. The removal of my old acrylic was really nice. Instead trying to pry a fake tip between the acrylic and my real nail, the tech would soak my nails for a little bit and then drill off the old stuff. I had that set for a very long time and only one nail broke. The second time I went was awful. I had a different tech and it was bad off the start. I asked for a fill in this time. The tech did not brush of the old acrylic dust from my hands when trying to apply new acrylic. I had to wipe my hands off on the towel that was on the table. The tech never bothered to dust away anything. The gel on my nail is very rigid and there's air bubbles on every single nail. My fill in was $55 and my full set $60. How is a fill in $5 less than a full set? I do not recommend this place. read more
