I have been coming to Durbin Nail Spa for nearly 4 years and words cannot describe how great my experience has been. They had a wide selection of colors, polish types, and add-ons that can basically guarantee you get what you're looking for. I'm very Type A and very picky, the artists I've worked with have always been so patient, kind, and eager to make sure I walk away satisfied. The place is always clean, and I love what they've done since moving to their new location (conveniently next to Ulta). Jenny in particular has been my go-to for 3 years now. She is gentle, thorough, quick, talented, and friendly. I can trust her to do my usual (plain nude) or something fun (mini designs or different colors) without feeling anxious about not liking the final result. Honorable mentions to Jay and Tony too! They are reasonably priced, and the 2x they have changed their pricing, they gave me a heads up a month or 2 in advance so it wouldn't be a surprise at my next appointment. Just another chop shop. Simple mani and pedi gel shouldn't be difficult to provide quality service. For the pedi some of the color on skin but a ton of the clear gel top coat left on skin. I can already feel my feet and hands itching because they did not properly wipe before curing the gel polish. As for the mani, did okay with cleaning cuticles but completely uneven length, even my husband noticed which says a lot in my opinion definitely won't be returning. Pure waste of money, I could have done a better job just DIYing it at home. So disappointing. read more

She was incredibly rude, was extremely rough with my daughter telling her multiple times to sit still, which she was sitting more still than most adults. I will never step foot in this facility again and I will make sure all my friends with children do not either. My pedicurist after greeting me walked me back to the chair with no water and just left me standing there. Once he came back I sat down at the chair and he just began to work on my feet without starting the water. It was very awkward. It's almost like he didn't know what he was doing. I LOVE Durbin Nail Spa! For pedicures I recommend Annie and for manicures, Sam. The salon is absolutely large with a plethora of nail colors and options. The pedicure spa chairs are so comfortable, the customer service is A1 and come with beverage options. The techs are great and the pricing is great for the service received. It is very clean and very busy, but you truly can't tell because they get you right in and right out without that feeling of being rushed. This is my go-to salon. Was in town on a trip and decided to get a pedicure, so I scheduled an appointment for 5:45. When we arrived, we were told that there was at least a 30 minute wait, even though we had an appointment ... so we waited for 30 minutes before being seen. The space is large and pedicure areas were separate from manicure areas. The chairs were comfortable enough, but I've been places where they are more comfortable. They have a ton of different pedicure options ranging from 40-100$. I chose the royal pedicure, which was nice .. however, I will say a $15 up charge for gel seems steep- usually I've been places where gel is only $10 more. The technician that I had for my pedicure did a great job and was very friendly. Overall, a decent pedicure, but the disorganization and lack of punctuality takes off stars for me. read more

I asked if they had water and the lady also offers me a coke product. The tech then approached me after a few minutes and took me to the spa area which was separate from the nails section. It was Very serene and the bubbling of the foot spas made it more so, I loved it...until .......some lady came and sat next to me talking on the phone. I don't get my nails done often, but when I need them done for any reason, I come to durbin Nail spa. They are adequately staffed and every time I have walked in without appointment I have been seated almost immediately. The price is very competitive, and all of the nail technicians are knowledgeable and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised this time around when the nail technician offered to put a design on my holiday nails, and put a snowflake on my finger. I rarely complain, but I am very disappointed. I went in asking for my daughters nails and toes to be painted ONLY and was charged $32 for this service which I feel is unjustified for a paint.. I asked the team members and they did answer my question, saying because they used water it was considered a pedicure which was $26... It's official, I won't be coming back here. I gave this place another try after a friend found a nail tech that she really liked and did great work. I started going to Amy year ago. For the first six months, I had great results. These last couple of visits, the quality of work has gone down. This last visit, I told the tech that my nails were lifting under the acrylic and would need to be fixed. I told her that almost all of my nails are lifting. What does she do? She fixes two of them. There is still lifting on my nails. I have included pictures. You can clearly see the parts that are lifting. For whatever reason, she decided to use nail glue at the tips of my nails and there's now a giant bump under my nail. The sides of my nails are not painted either. There is also air bubbles in the polish. I don't understand how there's air bubbles with gel polish. Now sometimes life happens and I forget to make an appointment with her and take my chances as a walk in and it usually backfires. I have had my nails done by 5 different techs in this salon and only 2 do really good work (one no longer works there). None of the techs are trained the same. Mary and Tran make me feel like I'm rushed so they can stay within a certain time frame to get to the next person. Mary did my nails so bad that I had to come back in two days later to have them fixed. My gel was not cured correctly, the acrylic was not applied evenly, you could see still see my old polish color under the new color, parts of the nail were not covered by polish, and had cuts all along my cuticles. Being nicked or cut along the cuticle is very painful and that is my number one pet peeve of getting my nails down. The pedicures are fine. Nothing special. I switch from getting the Classic and the Royal pedicure. Timewise, there's no difference. It's easily a 30 to 40 minute pedicure. The price for services are never consistent. I don't get tips and I don't get any other nail shape other than square. I don't even get them cut down. The price list is there for show. The only price that has ever stayed the same is the pedicure with gel polish. If you like this place, I highly recommend you stick with your tech and always book an appointment with them. Don't be a walk in and take your chances when needing your nails done. It may not be the result that you expect. read more

On a Saturday morning my mother and I decided to have a little spa day. Everything was going well, and my stylist was accommodating, asking if I wanted something to drink. I politely declined. Towards the end of the service while doing my top coat, I noticed he used an Emory board and filed some of it down but neglected to finish this mistake. Why not reapply the top coat? You can see this on the pink set pictured below, it was on my pinky. I proceeded to the counter where they had the screen to pay which initially said $45 and another lady who was not my stylist switched it to $55 dollars. I asked for SNS dip with no tips added! I'm not one for confrontation, but this was one of those times where I should've said something. Spending my hard earned money for a product that does not match the price. I felt betrayed. In addition, it is important to find the right nude to match your clients skin tone, at least put in some effort. The before and after photos differ too much. It looked tacky with that tan paint. I loved this salon at first, but it turned into a shop where everything is rushed and not conducted with quality. On another occasion I came in for SNS dip and a pedicure with regular white paint. So my mother and I sit for our pedicures, and we get the royal pedicure. Everything was going well, and the pedicure was nice. Until the stylist began to paint my toenails. Upon finishing, she immediately gets up and goes to the front and motions for me to follow her from all the way down the hallway. Keep in mind I have just had fresh paint put on my toenails with no time to let it dry and she wanted me to shuffle into the waiting room. I sat down on the couch because she directed me to do so and another lady comes up to me and asked me to follow her to her station. She begins doing my nails and she asked if I wanted SNS and I said yes and she gets up and talks to another stylist. A new stylist comes up to me and asked me to follow her instead. So at this point I have gone from one end of the shop to the other end with wet paint on my toenails. Mind you, the initial stylist painting my toes did not put any toe dividers on my toes. She only put my sandals back on immediately after applying a top coat. I did my best as to not smudge my fresh white toes. But if you've been here you know it's a big salon, and here I am trying to slowly waddle my way across the entire building. I felt rushed the entire time, and I was not feeling relaxed as a lady should be in a spa. I sit down to have my fingernails done and pay. Upon returning home I noticed majority of my toes were smudged beyond repair. I was distraught. I still wonder if they were out of toe dividers that day if she didn't give me any. My first visit wasn't the best experience I've had and maybe it's just me, but let me explain. I sat in a pedicure chair directly in front of a large tv on the wall. Great tv! However, why in the world do I want to watch politics on CNBC? I had a stressful day at work and watching politics was not what i would consider relaxing. I didn't want to stare at my pedicure lady, who kept talking to her peer next to her and not giving me much attention. Which is fine, but the massage and the attention to detail wasn't the same experience I have received at other locations. And for the price you pay, I would like more attention to detail. The page for this business is a joke. You can't actually book something online, instead you have to fill out a form and they email you with a confirmation. Ok fine. A little annoying, but fine. I revived an email the next day, confirming my appointment for a bikini wax and pedicure. I showed up a few minutes before my appointment and checked in. The girls at the fro t asked which service did I want first? Odd, I would have thought if I had a appointment, t hat would have been decided by the staff's availability. I chose waxing, and a tech came up to get me. She leads me back to a room that was barely bigger than a walk-in closet. She stands there and just looks at me. Now I'm confused. Normally an aesthetician will walk out and give you some privacy to undress. I finally say "um. We are doing bikini, right?" Glad I asked, as she was fully prepared to wax my already super thin eyebrows! I told her no I was not there for that. She looked rather confused, and let repeating "eyebrows?" I told her no each time. Then she said something I couldn't make out, although with wearing a mask, it wasn't her fault entirely. Finally she realized I was not going to let her wax the 'brows, and she turned to open the door and then walked me back to the front. As soon as she got up there, she started talking in her native tongue to a man I am assuming is the manager. He looks at me and says "no eyebrow?" I told him I had a confirmation for bikini, but never mind, he was already leading me towards a seat to be in the pedicure. The pedicure experience itself was decent. My tech said hi, asked me which one I wanted, I chose and then on we went. I realized a few minutes in I had not been given the chance to go and pick my color. He asked what color I wanted, and he went to find one. His choice came close to what I had in mind, so that was good. Most of the pedicure proceeded with very little to no conversation, so I had time to observe my surroundings. As others have said, it looks like a factory in here. There had to be no less than thirty stations. No one really spoke other than techs to one another, or those who had come in with a friend. The front staff had multiple younger girls, standing with their friends, who had come in for services, but while waiting for a technician. They pretty much congregated at the front desk, even with customers coming and going. When I was done, I was led to a table at the front to dry my nails. My tech began to walk away and I had to call him back to ask how long I should sit there for. He said "ten minutes should be fine," and left. My nails did it dry within the ten minutes, and needless to say they were smudged by the time I got home. $70+ later, and I have nothing to write home about. read more

From COVID-19 stand point- The staff wear their masks properly and wash their hands before touching your hands. There are a lot of people in the salon on a Saturday but still maintaining a seat apart. Overall, I was a walk in and it's a pretty busy place and the music is very oriental and calming which is nice. As I was choosing a color I had Thomas as my manicurist and he also did my pedicure, greet me and asked if I needs help choosing a color. So I asked him if he had matching colors to the gel "DND" for SNS and turns out they DONT they only have a very FEW select of matching colors from range 1-70 I believe. So that kind of threw me off because usually salons have matching gel to SNS. So that took about 20 minutes to find a SNS that matched the color of my toes. Thomas however did a great job with my Nails and toes. He made sure Everything was perfect and i was satisfied. I think he was fairly new because he had some people watching over him. read more
