Being married to an Elite Yelper causes you to require a higher standard for everything. I found Dep Nails on my way to Earth Fare and fell in love. Helen (I miss you like I miss The Carpenters), was my first nail tech. She introduced me to the world of gel polish. Now, if you're a chronic hand washer like myself, this might not be the best option for you. I would peel off her good works within three days garnering side eye from my wife for wasting money. Fast forward three months and I go in and Helen is gone. I thought I would be lost without her, then I remembered her bestie sitting right next to her, Mimi. Mimi is sassy, fun and very creative. She introduced me to SNS dip powder and has taken my nail game to another level. I am always indecisive about colors and designs, Mimi always knows what will look amazing. I could go on and on about her, but I would do this review a disservice if I didn't mention the rest of the crew. Nina gives the most amazing pedicure. I have a latex allergy that she deals with to make sure I am happy and comfortable. The entire shop is immaculately clean, spa bowls clean and lined, I leave feeling like a million bucks. It's hard to find a nail place, that's for sure. Each nail tech has their own way of doing things, professionalism, knowledge, patience, conversation level, etc. it's a science and everyone who gets their nails done regularly knows the importance of it all. I had a full set SNS Nails on from a previous salon & wanted to get them taken off professionally to preserve my nail. After soaking in acetone for more than 20 minutes, they wouldn't budge. Trin took his time to make sure he did the job well with my pain level in consideration, as my nail beds were very sensitive. I had originally planned to get a gel manicure, but Trin and I decided it was best to leave them clean, with just a clear go coat so they could heal up better. I appreciated his honestly. About 2 weeks later my nails were ready. I came in for an appointment with Trin, we did a full SNS set. I chose matte black gel polish, with clear powder so I can just get fill-ins for the next few weeks and save some porosity with my nails. I did not even know they could do this, I was always told about the colored powder, so I appreciate the advice from this awesome salon, again. With my puppy in tow, Trin was very nice to her as usual, saying hi every few minutes and making sure we were both comfortable. This is the second time I've gotten someone who can't speak hardly any English, like I can't communicate with them on what I want and she just cut my big toe so it bled a little. I have NEVER had that experience with a pedicure before. My pants are getting wet because she isn't paying attention. I came back to see if it was just her but now it looks like they are letting anyone do your nails and that's not acceptable. The lady I got was nice and friendly, she cut my nails short like I asked, took the polish off and did a nice manicure/polish job after. Just came here to get my acrylics removed and my natural nails done and Im not impressed:( First off there are still some acrylic chunks on my nails. The lady was nice but she kept packing the nails polish with thick layers which caused the polish to smudge off even after they were dry. And there was issues with pricing, she had told me the price would be 20 for it all but when i went to the pay it was 8 dollars more. Unfortunately I will not be back for nails but they do great pedicures. read more

I've gone to this place several times. The only reason I came back was to use a gift card. The lady rushed through the pedicure and seemed annoyed the whole time. The polish job looks like a 5 year old painted it. When I showed her the messed up spots she just painted over them. They still look like crap. ive never written a bad review before but my friend and I had such a disappointing experience that i have to share. when i called for my appointment i asked if my friend and i would be sat together and the lady said yes. we get there (wait another 15 mins after appointment) and i get sat first. nearly 10 mins later they sit my friend across the room. i immediately ask if she could be sat next to me and my nail artist says no (not positive what she said was the reason why) but then my friend asks her artist and he says no theres no tools there and that we can "talk to each other from where we are" what??? we'd have to actually yell to each other. another spot by me opened up so i asked again and they just said no with no explanation. on top of all this my nails are not at all what i expected, the lines are wonky and the polish is lumpy and there are bubbles. we won't be coming back. read more

I went in for a Deluxe pedicure and full set Acrylic nails. The pedicure was ok I was expecting it to be a lot better. The man that was doing my full set started by putting on the nails then going to see another woman he seated the same time as me. He was jumping from me to this lady every few minutes. I love this nail salon! It's only 5 minutes from my house, so super convenient and they do a wonderful job! Everyone there is super friendly! I've been coming here ever since I moved to mandarin. I first head of this nails salon because of my hair stylist, she also gave me a couple of gift cards. The first time I went there I got my nails done by Cristina. When I paid I pulled out one of the 5$ gift cards that my hair stylist had given me. Cristina looked at me sideways, after a couple swipes of the gift card she finally accepted it. I felt really uncomfortable but I brushed it off. My nails lasted for 4 weeks. 4 weeks later I walked in hoping Cristina would do my nails again. She wasn't available that day so I decided to wait for the next available person to get an acyrlic and gel fill in. The guy that sits on the front chair (the boss) took me. This time I decided to not pay with a gift card because of the looks i got the first time. 2 days later my thumb and middle finger started peeling. I went back to get them fixed. A week later the same story, not 2 nails but 5 of my nails started peeling. I called to book an appointment with Cristina at 3:15. I walk into the nail salon and the front desk lady tells me Cristina won't be available until 5 o'clock. I told the lady I'm sorry but i had a nail appointment how is that possible. She continues to tell me that she called me. I'm sorry but some people work and you can always leave me a voice mail. I asked if anyone else was available and she tells me the boss is. I told her what happened to my nails and I do not want him to do my nails and that I would like to cancel all of my other appointment because I will never come back at that salon read more

I usually go to another salon but went to this salon because there wasn't a wait time for walk ins and because of the reviews. I had sns nails and a pedicure(I later found out by my normal salon that it wasn't sns they used on my nails). My experience wasn't good, the man that did my nails asked inappropriate questions and I will not be going back. Also, two nails popped off a week later if that tells you anything. read more

Ended up with bubbles in my SNS and the color of the dip powder rubbed off with the tool to the point of the nail being clear and splotchy in some areas. Nails aren't the same length. This place has gone downhill & FAST. Came in for a full set, took SOPHIA 90 minutes to only apply the acrylic. My nails are messed up. She used the dremel so slowly that she burned my nails. I told her 5 times that she was hurting me. Her & the girl next to her LAUGHED at me & rolled their eyes. I noticed that she is not licensed or at least does not have it on display like everyone else there. TERRIBLE WORK. RUDE. UNTALENTED. When I told the manager, TINA, she did not apologize. I didn't even get my nails finished. My fingers hurt, all of my nails are different lengths, some are slanted to one side. Acrylic application is lumpy. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. read more

The service is fantastic! Everyone is really nice and welcoming I've had a few gel manicures and every time they turn out great and last 2 weeks or so. The services are reasonably priced - you get what you pay for. They are quick to respond on yelp for appointments (even though I'm slow to respond). Went here on opening day (2/2/18)..the place was very clean and decorated nicely, very modern! The entire staff was friendly and the prices were comparable with most other nail salons in the area. One unique thing is they have a small, separate pedicure area containing 4 chairs where groups coming in together can sit by themselves, away from the other chairs. I'm not sure if I just have oily nail beds or what... but it's rare I can find someone to do them and them not lift like crazy after a couple days! I did not enjoy my time at all. While getting a gel manicure my nail tech, who I believe was named Kate, kept her mask on her chin despite my asking her repeatedly to pull it up. She also was talking on the phone the whole time and wasnt paying attention at all. She buffed my nails down a lot and 3 of them ended up breaking the next day. Along with that she didn't put enough coates on my nails and the polish came off really quick. Over all not a good experience. It may be better, however, if someone else did them. The staff goes out of their way to ensure clients walk out happy. I returned after more than a few days due to illness and the sweet tech redid the job graciously! I've been going since they opened in February and have no plans of going elsewhere. The prices are competitive, the chairs are great, the place is clean and the staff is friendly. I love trying new techs and interacting with each new person I meet, but Christina is by far my favorite. She clearly takes pride in the work she does, and will not let me off the chair if it isn't 100%.
