This was my second time at the salon. Erica cut my hair again. She is really sweet and communicates well when planning your look. Did want my highlights to be a little chunkier, but she accomplished my main request - to not have skinny natural looking highlights. I like my hair to have drama! I love love the cut she gave me - keeping the length and adding DRAMATIC shorter layers around my face. The only disappointing part was getting charged for a gloss when I didn't ask for it. I probably would have opted for it if asked, but a surprise extra $36 dollars is never a good way to end a salon appointment. read more

So amazing! I have been searching for my "home" salon I have had several bad experiences since moving to Jax from NYC over a year ago. I had an appointment with another stylist but she canceled me and I ended up, luckily, with the owner who listened to what I wanted, matched my color perfectly I can't stand the really light blonde that is popular here in Florida and prefer a golden blonde and she matched it perfectly! I'm beyond happy! Additionally, she's a beautiful person who is fun and down to earth. Everyone in the salon are genuine and pleasant and real! NYC style without the NYC attitude! Well, I chose this salon for its organic products little did I know pure bleach was put on my hair to lighten my hair which my goal was to be lighter but, with an organic product. I have never had nor would I've said it's okay to bleach my entire hair. I had a gloss ( a toner) to tone down the orange hair after bleach. My roots were died after the gloss plus a few highlights around the face. Again that's double bleach with another gloss then cut and style.. My hair was very damp/ not dry at all. I had to ask for the blow dryer and finish my hair. Charged around $280 plus tip $300. Spoke to owner face to face the best she would do was a deep conditioner. My hair is breaking off really bad. I'm an x- hair dresser who's never treated a client like this. So unhappy I would of never put bleach all over without consult that it was Bleach not a organic strip for color. I'll never go back!!! I called today to speak to owner but, it was her administrative day. She also told me she used a Redken product bc she's not crazy of the bleach method. Wow! read more

What an amazing experience!! I have never been so happy with a salon! I bought a groupon for a haircut, deep condition treatment and blowout. I made an appointment for a Saturday morning. I showed up just a few minutes before my appointment and filled out their customer information. I then sat down and was told my stylist was just finishing up with another customer and would be out shortly. The hostess offered me some water or with strawberries and oranges. Miriam came out a few minutes later, introduced herself and aid she would be back in a minute to get me. Literally about a minute later she came back and got me. She took me to her section and we talked about how I wanted my hair done. She listened and gave her advice which I welcomed. She then gave me a wonderful head massage with some type of mint oil. It was absolutely divine!! Miriam then took me to wash my hair. She checked on the temp of the water a few times to make sure I was comfortable. She then applied the deep conditioner and applied a scented eye mask over my eyes to help me relax as the conditioner worked it's magic. About 5 minutes later that was rinsed out. She cut my hair exactly how I wanted and then blow dried my hair. She was even kind enough to flat iron my hair when I told her I usually straighten it. She was wonderful!!! I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and I couldn't ask for a better haircut. I promptly made a follow up appointment! Two days later the salon called me to make sure I was happy with the service. Not many salons do that, even when you spend 10 times as much! The service is just great here and all customers looked happy. I will absolutely return!! FYI...They also do manicures, pedicures, facials and massages. I can't wait to try another service!! read more

I thought I waited so long for an appointment with a particular hairdresser because he was booked. Now I think he may be doing this part time due to all the conversations about his trips, other interests, etc. I came in with solid information with pictures. $300.00 later I left with much darker, one solid color hair that I could have done at home with products from Sally Beauty. I was so excited about my appointment and splurged for the trained hairdresser and his 20+ years of experience. I am so disappointed that I don't even want to appear in public. My hair is way too dark. I had pictures and discussed plainly what I wanted. I am too afraid to go back for a correction. The receptionist was a lovely lady. The salon is very normal. read more

About 2 months ago Sammi Pope colored my hair. She left me under the heat for too long and burned a good bit of my hair off leaving my hair 1-2 inches long in many spots. As she was finishing up styling it I could tell there were many broken pieces on top. I couldn't tell the extent of the damage until I got home. I was appalled to see all the damage when I was in front of my own mirror. Of course, I called her right away and she offered a conditioning treatment. That was nice but it's not going to regrow all my broken hair. I wanted a refund on the color. I was willing to pay for the cut but wanted a refund for the color. I was going to need very expensive products to get my hair back in shape and lots of time. I finally got in touch with the owner, Charlene Parker. She was rude and refused to refund my money. But, she offered me a hair cut. Why in the heck would I ever go back there? Especially, after how she treated me. They will say anything to take the blame off themselves. They told me it was new growth and damage that I already when I came in. All lies! Sammi is a nice girl but she clearly needs more training. Charlene has no clue how to treat customers! Do not get your hair done here unless you want your hair damaged. Go anywhere else! read more

I just had my hair lightened and trimmed by Erika B., and I could not be happier with the results. She listened to me, got the hair color perfectly, she deep conditioned it as well and my hair feels absolutely amazing!! Not only is she talented, she took time to listen to what I wanted and she didn't 'oversell' products to me that I didn't need or will use only one time then throw away. 2nd review as I came back a few days later. I returned after seeing Zena to have my hair blended just a bit more. Quick trim and I would be dove. When I got there, I learned Zena had a medical emergency and couldn't make it to work. Charlene took me instead. I had great conversations throughout my appointment. Charlene was the business owner. We talked about her business and how she got it started. She took her time to fix my hair as requested, and ended up cutting it twice because she thought it could still be tweaked. Charlene even blow dried it and used the flat iron! I love my new hair! I am so impressed with the level of customer service here. As I knew I was not being charged for the second visit, I expected to be in and out so they could get to their next customer who would actually be paying. I was so grateful for the time and effort Charlene put into my hair. I made sure to tip her even though they didn't charge me. Highly recommend. Glad to have found a new hairdresser! After finding a groupon on a salon that sells organic products, I was sold! I was booked with Eric & it was awesome! My coupon was for a haircut, blowdry & deep condition. I called about 3 hours before my appointment & asked if I could squeeze in hi lights. Eric took care of me no problem & was able to give me some fabulous looking hair! My hair is curly, thick & frizzy! He had no trouble managing it & he really took care of me. If you're a new customer here book with him & he won't let you down! I bought a groupon for mani-pedi today and they were able to schedule me in for today. The girl who did my nails was very sweet and knowledgable, but extremely slow. I was anxious to get a haircut since the quarantine so I called this salon for an appointment. They gave me a 10:45 appt the next day with Chris. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a stylist. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he barely glanced at it. While he was cutting my hair he kept on saying what a wonderful job he was doing. I started to get a little nervous with what I was seeing in the mirror and I asked him if he would like to see the picture again. He said sure but again, just glanced at it. I then asked him if he was cutting it short enough. He just laughed and said "most people say just the opposite". He did blow dry my hair but by the time I got home it was hanging straight down my face. It looked like someone had put a bowl on my head and cut. When I checked out, he stood at the counter and I felt obligated to book another appt. shame on me for not speaking up. Lesson learned. Not one time did he ever ask me about my hair, discuss my hair or try to understand what I wanted. He never looked at the picture I tried to show him or ask me to enlarge it ( on my phone). I did call the salon the next day and they asked me if I wanted to come back in to see if he could fix it! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! This is bad enough but a revenge cut because I complained is not going to happen. DON'T GO TO THIS SALON!!! read more

Was excited to find an organic hair salon. Booked an appointment for color and cut. Stylist asked if I'd be interested is some balayage highlights. Said it would looks an advertisement posted by her station. I agreed. As long as they were "age appropriate". I noted I was in my 50's and not interested in looking 20. When washing my hair she said the highlights were orange and yellow, noting she knew they wasn't the look I wanted and suggested toner. She said the toner worked. I was clear I wanted a one inch trim - no layers. She confirmed before cutting my hair. Half way into the trim she started cutting all over my head in a fast motion. I asked her what she was doing. She mumbled something and then said she needed to go get some product. I looked down to see a pile of hair (way more than an inch trim with some as blonde as Marilyn Monroe. She said my hair didn't need drying. She left the ticket at the front desk and disappeared. I was livid. I decided to leave, calm down and make sure I wasn't over reacting. I wasn't. My hair was fried crispy and all different lengths. I had to go to a hair cuttery for some help. They were in shock. I called to speak to the manager or owner. I left a message and no one has called back yet. What made me the most angry was the fact this stylist didn't man-up and admit she didn't do a good job and suggest options. She just proceeded to further butcher my hair and then ran off. Poor skills, unprofessional and sad that the owner couldn't return my call. Will never go back and don't recommend. The stylist was Kristen and I see another poor review. Hmmm $177.00. Saturday 1/19. Left no tip. Would love to chat. read more

I liked the fact that I was given a "heads up" that my stylist was running behind. Unfortunately, I probably won't use Amberlee S. again. She is a good stylist, however the first time she did my hair, I was told a cut and style was $50 and when I went to pay, she charged me an extra $10 because she flat ironed my hair. This was a surprise. Yesterday, I was told mini partial highlights were $52. Again, when I went to pay I was charged an extra $20 because she had to use toner. (?) She's a nice young lady, but I am consistantly not charged what I'm quoted. read more

The pricing is very affordable however I don't think this can really be called an Organic spa. The products are Aveda (which as a company claims that they are natural) but the smell of the products were so strong that I couldn't sleep that night after getting my hair washed/cut/blown. The fragrance gave me such a migraine. Nothing that has that strong of synthetic fragrance is organic. read more

This was the first time that I went to Willow Organic Salon and Spa. I had gotten a gift certificate for a cut and blow out with Matthew. When I arrived I was immediately greet at the door by the receptionist with a smile. I told her who I was and she was stated they were expecting me. Matthew was also standing there and introduced himself. He took me back to his chair and started talking about what I was looking for and he understood. Been going here about two years now...maybe more. Was looking for a replacement salon for one that I had been going to for almost two years also that is located on the same street. I don't get anything complicated done. Only a wash, haircut, and blow dry and the hairdresser, from my previous salon, was sporadic on her cuts and listening to my concern over how she cut one side. I'd finally had enough trying to get her to fix how she cut one side of my head so started searching for another salon and found Willow via a groupon ad. Walked in and told them I wanted someone who would listen and be able to fix the lopsidedness. I was given the owner, Charlene. Have been going to her since and have no complaints. She is good! She was able to gradually work out the lopsidedness, after a couple of visits, without whacking off the length. She listened....what a concept....and gave suggestions. Eventually, I trusted her enough to cut my bangs which...I NEVER let a hairdresser do after many, many experiences with ones that say they KNOW how and I leave pissed because they DON'T and screwed it up!
