A friend recommended waxlab a few years ago and I'm glad I finally got around to trying them out. My regular waxers couldn't fit me in. I had a flight to catch and had about an hour to find somewhere new. I was quite apprehensive initially but felt at ease once I got in. The place is serene and clean. Didn't realize Cryslin was the owner but we had a nice conversation which put me at ease about the pain and she did a great job with my wax! this was the best wax i've had since i moved from southern california. i currently live up in valdosta, a couple hours north. i've tried SEVEN different waxing spots across southern georgia and northern florida over the last 2 years, and waxlab is the eighth business i've visited. it seems like eighth time is the charm! i'm glad i never gave up looking for the best waxing location, bc then i would've never come across waxlab. i was waxed mainly by kayla, with the assistance of elsie, to get a full body wax. the location itself-- SO clean. and looks so luxurious. like a spa! i walked in and immediately had great first impressions. and kayla made me feel super comfortable. i thanked her throughout the wax for the minimal pain brazilian (bc we all kno how badly those can hurt). the room was a cool and comfortable temperature (which is so important when you're getting a full body wax). i was able to just close my eyes and listen to the music playing. i felt so relaxed. and i'm as smooth as a dolphin!! and i'm extra happy that they were able to get hair off all the places that most locations tend to miss. i gotta say, i absolutely hate driving; but i would drive out here every month to get waxed by the best in the area. thank you ladies soooo much for such a great experience (and in case anyone is curious, i paid $200 for full body. they wax basically everything [including sideburns, chin, etc], which is an amazing deal for all you regular waxers! you can let them know if there's anything you DON'T want waxed too) read more

The owner is rude to everyone with less than stellar reviews. She wants to capitalize everything the customer did in her response to reviews, but she is a liar. You have lost your mind if you think that those wax lids are cleaned after every client, and you need to stop lying on here. The wax ALL OVER the wall... is that from MY BODY?? Are you really trying to tell people that the trashcan is cleaned after each client? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA PLEASE! Maybe instead of the shit approach you take toward people with people who encountered problems with your business, you should start by apologizing for their experience. Take a class in customer service!! Also, since you want to argue with people more often than not, the yelp description says numbing cream is free the first time, and in another spot it says complimentary. So you owe people some money and some apologies! read more

I have been getting waxed for years and so I have had the chance to visit many different spots. This spot is by far the best. From the moment you walk in door the service begins. Omg never again! The customer service was great indeed, but the Brazilian Wax was terrible!! I had so much hair left over I shaved after I got home.. yes that much!! I usually see a strand or two after sitting up but no . This was worse than a shave I've done in the shower. Not to mention the irritation and bump we got immediately afterwards. Only reason why I didn't bitch was because I used a Groupon in addition to a 25% off code. My friend and I said that we'll never go back. So back to Brazil's waxing center we go ! Very clean establishment and friendly service. My Brazilian had a smooth finish. My technician got all the nooks and crannies and she wasn't done until every bit was gone. I was informed by the front desk attendant that there is a "buy 6 get 1" and "buy 9 get 2" special for Brazilians... Also, if you are a new client you can get a "buy 9 and get 3" Brazilians. There is a referral program as well. If you refer a friend, you get $5 off your next wax. They offer everything from brows to full body waxing and include a service menu for both men and women. Their busiest hours are in the mornings and evenings. They are usually easy to book an appointment with if you can squeeze time during normal business/working hours while everyone else is at work. Extremely poor professionalism. I called all Saturday to cancel an appointment and of course no one answers. When I come in for my appointment today I have my service dog. They turn me away bc the waxer is "allergic to dogs." Honestly, that's your issue, not mine. You cannot by law turn away someone with a service dog because YOU are allergic to dogs. They then ask me to come back later in the day like I don't have a freaking job and can just drop everything in my day to accommodate THEM. DO NOT come here. I can't tell you how many times I've been back to see the owner, Crislyn. I live about 30 minutes away and drive pass plenty of other places that does waxing but I will keep coming back here. Why, because Crislyn is great at what she does. Her personality is great! Every month I look forward to our chats, it's like meeting up with a friend and catching up on life. The young lady at the front is also super sweet. I make my next appointment before I leave for two reasons, 1) Crislyn books up fast and 2) you get a discount when you prebook. I felt super comfortable with my technician. She was very informative and patient with me. There is a special on Mondays and Tuesday for a Brazilian and underarm wax for $50. Which I believe is a good deal....take advantage of this folks. Ok guys...let's be honest for a moment. We all have hair in places we'd prefer to not. Whether you're a manscaper or just in need of some grooming you have to deal with this. Trust me guys: your barber isn't always going to help and there is no reason to feel like a gorilla because you're freaked out about going to a salon. The great thing about this place is they don't make up feel self-conscious about being a dude at a wax joint. They're pros who can help you feel a bit better. Sure, ripping hair out can hurt but a far as that goes these folks do it best. No judging, no weirdness and great service are all you'll get. In my case they made this about a comfortable as a haircut. They were so awesome that I scheduled advance appointments for which they offer a discount. So swallow your pride, give them a shot and I promise you'll feel better than you did when you went in. read more

First time at Waxlab today....It wasn't too exciting. Very simple and sterile looking...gal at the front desk munched on cracker/cookies while alternating between her cell and internet. She didn't have too much to say but was pleasant when addressed. My waxer was Auria (sp?)... She welcomed me and advised me to undress and drape the towel over my lower half in prep for my Brazilian wax. Auria advised it would likely be a painful experiences since my last Brazilian had been awhile. She left the room I did as instructed. Auria returned to the room and got to work. The wax seemed pretty hot but not unbearable. The placement of the wax and her ability to "rip" it off didn't seem in sync and seemed more unbearable than previous experiences. While I understood there had been a previous "warning " that things may get bad... This was not my first rodeo with a Brazilian that had some "over growth". Through out the process we chatted quite a bit and it wasn't as awkward as it was painful. Again I understand I had some "growth" to mange but the technique seemed to lacking. Auria advised she had been waxing for just about a year .... "Ah ha ". Maybe that was the thing.... Maybe it was just her level of experience and exposure to master her technique. All that being said ... I have not decided if I will go back. I did pre book as they offer a 10% discount if you pre book. I need to see how my skin feels/heals. I assume I could go back and see someone else but I need to digest this experience. SUMMARY: seems clean enough, first time visit , Brazilian wax, had a groupon, unsure if I will return. read more
