I am extremely disappointed about my brief experience this evening. Decided to stop by this place after work today, I'd say about 530pm. I pull up and walk into the building and there are only 3 people in the building, 2 staff and one customer. The first staff member is working on a customer's hands and as I walk in he asks me "how can I help you". I politely ask for a fill in. He looks up at the clock, then looks back at me, pauses for an uncomfortable few seconds, looks back down at his customer's hands and says "we're very busy right now". As I mentioned earlier, there were only three people in the building and the other one staff that wasn't working on anybody was sitting on his phone. I am not new to the nail salon experience so I understand the understaffing and or appointment only is sometimes a thing, especially in the evening but that was not communicated. Neither was the invite to wait or the statement made of "sorry, we're appointment only for the rest of the night". He simply looked at the clock, then at me, and stated they were busy. Busy but only 1 customer? Didn't even look me in my eye as he said that. I then had to ask if I could make an appointment for another day, something that he could have offered to me seeing as they were "soooooo busy". He again did not make any eye contact with me and said simply "tomorrow?" As I made my way to the reception desk, the other worker who was sitting on his phone when I walked in got up and asked me what day I would like to come in. I looked down to the appointment book and it was completely empty for today and for the upcoming dates this week. It really bothered me because not only was i told the place was busy (while literally completely empty) i felt IMMEDIATELY dismissed. I had to be the one to ask for an appointment. It was an extremely rude experience to tell me to my face that an empty building was "really busy". Because of the short and dismissive response to me coming into the building, I immediately felt discriminated against, especially since there was no offer to "rectify" the issue of them being soooo busy. It felt as if they did not want my business and you know, that is okay...I happily took my business and money elsewhere. I am just very disappointed that I was treated this way. Technicians are very friendly and aim to please. My twin sisters and I have been there twice and will make this our favorite place for mani pedis. All three of us were very satisfied with the service provided. If you are lucky, you might even get to hold or play with baby Sumi. She is the daughter of one of the technicians. read more

I absolutely Love this spa! All the technicians are skilled and I always leave with what I want. They did a cool pink dip today with a mermaid sheen and I think this is the cutest look on my nails thus far. I've been going to them for over two years and always leave satisfied with my results. Michelle is amazing, the shop appears very clean, and the pedicure/polish lasts a long time.

The quality of service is the best I've ever received! My nails are shaped perfectly and they have lasted a week so far with zero issues. The nail technician was super nice and took her time to make sure I was happy. My only complaint is they had no pricing sheet or options visible. After a tip my gel spa toes and dip/gel nails was more than $150. Granted I tipped 18% due to amazing service. I will go back here for sure but will ask for pricing before proceeding. read more

Found this awesome spa on Yelp, and signed up on their website for the 15% off discount for new customers. I was a walk-in and was seen right away. The tech; "Lady", was very nice and did a great job. They use plastic liners on the tubs, and all the tools come in pre-sealed packaging. The massaging chair was a bonus, and they offered a water, or soda. Quite happy with the results. read more

This place was good when it was under their previous management. Now they don't seem as professional. It Took the girl 3 hours to do my SNS. I paid 50 dollars for thick, uneven, and messy nails. A 5 year old could have done better. Very disappointing because i loved the ladies who work their previously. I finally told her i needed to leave then she was in such a rush she was hurting my fingers. She apologized because she didn't realize i was on a "time crunch". I was hunting for a place closer to my home to get SNS done and found this place 20 minutes away. I went after work and got there about and hour and 15 mins before they closed. They weren't very busy and I was taken right away. I was in desperate need to have a SNS fill-in and a pedicure so we started with a pedicure first. I chose the spa pedicure and it was nice and relaxing, no problems here. My nail tech was friendly and we had a nice casual convo. Now before the pedicure started I did mention that I wanted a new set of SNS on my hands. I did not get this. I'm not sure if it was because of the time but I was disappointed that she didn't remember. As she went to work on my hands, she said that the product on my nails were acrylic. I told her no it wasn't but I don't think she believed me. She and another woman talked about my nails and I think the other woman told her that they were SNS. So after that, she filled in the grown-out area with more SNS and I was cool with how they were looking. Then before the top coat, she pulled out the UV light. Am I being rushed? SNS does not require any gel polish top coat followed by UV lighting to dry. I let her finish my nails and she began another convo with me but in the back of my mind I was over this whole experience, but I played along. When my nails were dry, I paid and left and by then it was well after the shop had closed. They are a good salon, but I won't be back for SNS. I'll have to go to my old salon further away for that. read more

As I write this review I am getting a super duper relaxing pedi with lavender! This is my second time here. The experience still as great as the first! The whole staff is very kind and accommodating. The salon is very clean does not smell of chemicals and is very nicely decorated. They also have chairs for kids 8 and under for pedis and they are a little scary cause they look like something from 5 nights at Freddy's but kids like them! They talked me last time into S&S and I will never look back it is so worth the extra money and it's fun to dip your nails! Also, girl you want some gel holy cannoli they have they biggest selection of gel polish seriously! They have a basket of colors. It took me a while to find a salon with great prices, staff, and skills and I have found it! I will be back it's official Mani Pedi is my new spot! read more

I have previously posted about how wonderful this nail place is, however, today I was extremely offended and will never return again. It is obvious to me that they do not appreciate customer loyalty. I travel from 30 minutes away and sometimes arrive 10 to 15 minutes late due to unforeseen traffic or construction. I was completely humiliated when I walked in 14 minutes late today. I will likely not return particularly if assigned to a specific individual who was either drunk, hungover or both this past Saturday. This is one of the nicest nail salons in Mandarin. The pedicure chairs are super comfortable and they offer several different types of pedicures so you can either relax for a while or get in and out quickly if you're in a hurry. They offer SNS nails as well as acrylics and gels, along with a huge assortment of gel manicure colors. My nails are always perfect, never any bumps or lifting. I went somewhere else once for a fill in and came right back here. If they happen to have a wait, I would recommend sticking around and waiting, they're well worth it. read more

New chairs and a double vent system (ahh...clean air) make this my preferred nail salon over any other I have tried in Jacksonville. I typically only have time for a spa pedicure, but for special events I get a gel manicure as well. Great place! I've been there twice. The first time with my 6-year-old granddaughter because they have cute teddy bear chairs for the little ones. They were fast and really good with both of us. My pedicure stayed nice for a long time. I went a second time today with my bestie. We had a 4:30 PM appointment, but we were a bit early and they took us right away. They were friendly and fast, and my nails look terrific. The salon is pleasant and so are the people who work there. The prices are comparable to other shops and they are not pushy about upselling. Highly recommended for a relaxing girl's day out. read more

Terrible service and business approach. "Express pedicure" was 10-15 minutes instead of 20-25 and that was only after I asked them to actually file my nails and cut back the cuticles. Then, when I asked them about the time spent, they told me I was wrong. They then charged me $30 for only filing my finger nails and my 10 minutes polish change they called a pedicure. We recently moved to Mandarin and I have been to this nail salon twice. Both times I have had an AWFUL experience. The first time I had a nail tech that was so irritated and disgruntled and acted like I was the biggest inconvenience that I finally sweetly asked her if she was having a bad day, hoping she would realize how badly she was treating me. Apparently, that only made her attitude worse. Both times my six year old daughter was with me. The first time they sent a man to do her toes. Initially I didn't think wice about it, because I have men do my feet all the time. But I felt very uncomfortable watching a man rubbing all over her little legs and after stopping the massage I determined that was extremely inappropriate and would never let that happen again. The second time we went, they were completely empty with women employees standing around with nothing to do. We sat down in the chairs and out came the man from the back to do my daughter's pedi. I politely asked for a woman for her and immediately got attitude. Then, the woman we got was the same woman I had the time before, her name is Mimi, and she proceeded to have a major attitude and yelled at my daughter twice to the point my daughter was almost in tears. We were on a special mommy daughter date and this place almost ruined our special time together. I called the next day and spoke with the manager, Tina, and explained my two experiences with their nail salon and employee. The only thing Tina said was and I quote "sorry, don't ask for Mimi when you come back." No emotion, no sympathy, not I will speak to her and make sure this doesn't happen again...nothing. I am in shock. What a disappointed experience all around. This salon is definitely nothing special on any level of the spectrum. In my experience they are on the lower end of nail salon as far as quality, facilities, etc., regardless of my experience. We will definitely not be back. read more
