When I got there and said I was there for an appt, scheduling was off because they thought I was supposed to come in at 4pm when I made it for 5:30. We cleared it up and I sat a Mr. Ray's booth. He was so nice. The lady at the counter was so nice. She offered water or wine and I went with water. He helped me open it when I needed to take a sip. Ray did my nails in record time my far, he's amazing. I got the dipping powder with tips and color 319 I believe, a glittery purple. Why? I dunno, it looked pretty. Seems like Monday nights are ideal because I was the only one in there so I'll keep that in mind. Thanks!

I received a phone call shortly before from who I assume is the owner to let me know that the person selected wasn't there but they could either reschedule for tomorrow or someone else could fill in. I love that they called and I didn't just walk into a surprise. When I walked in the owner greeted me and was very kind and attentive. The salon is very clean and the music was not loud and unpleasant. I got a collagen pedicure first which was heavenly! My feet feel brand new! Then I got a full set of Gel X nails. I believe Lin was the lady that attended me and she was very sweet and gentle on my nails. I've love low maintenance things and this is one of the things where I should t have waited so long to get! The pain level is very mild as she puts a numbing cream first. She measures and draws out the brows and then the magic happens. The healing process was easy. And now I'm so happy that I can just wash my face, spf and go in the mornings. I've been getting acrylic, gel, dip, and hybrid gel since middle school, and at 31, I honestly couldn't tell you the last time I had my natural nails (not great, I know). During my most recent fill, I felt some pain on one finger. That can happen, so I assumed it was just a small cut near the cuticle. But afterward, my entire cuticle and nail bed were visibly swollen. I kept it clean and used Neosporin, but after two weeks it was still irritated. I finally went to the doctor, and she had to put me on oral antibiotics plus a prescription ointment. She told me that if this treatment doesn't work, I may have to have the entire nail removed. I have never experienced anything like this in my life, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. My doctor even said this is exactly why she personally avoids nail salons.
