This review is long overdue. Found RTMotorworks like many of you looking for a reliable mechanic through Yelp. I needed to replace my shot to sh*t engine and sent out a number of inquiries. Richard responded and although his location was some distance away, I was impressed with his reviews and his immediate responses. Richard made it a point to answer all my questions and offer additional information. There was an issue at the beginning when it came to receiving and confirming the final invoice. However, Richards outstanding communication resolved the issue in no time. The replaced engine is running smooth like butter. I couldn't be happier. There are a few more separate mechanical issues that needs to be addressed but I'll save those for Richard to take care of later in the future. Great work. Great prices. Great guy. I called RT Motorworks to have my B8.5 2016 Audi A4 get an oil change and service done. Richard answered the phone, gave a fair estimate on time and pricing, and I was there within 20 minutes. I dropped off my Audi, got it serviced, and was priced exactly what he said over the phone. Richard and his team also did a free inspection on my car which debunked some concerns I had from getting it serviced at the dealership a year back while out of warranty. If you are a luxury car brand owner like me who doesn't have warranty at the dealership then take it to RT Motorworks because the dealerships would charge an arm and a leg while trying to upcharge. Richard and his team were honest, friendly, and pretty knowledgeable. Due to my Honda having issues and reaching over 110k, I had my car recently serviced by Richard and his team. So glad I came. Richard was super helpful, and got everything I requested looked closely at. Could tell he is very honest, and pricing was very fair. Definitely trumps any dealership, which I never go to anyways. After getting my rear shocks replaced and other services, my husband and I noticed that that it is a very noticeable smoother drive. I asked Richard about this mysterious clicking noise that my cousin, husband and I couldn't figure out, and Richard fixed it! I sent out a request for a suspension install on my WRX, and RTMotorworks responded in a timely manner with upfront pricing. I noticed they were also open on Saturday mornings, which is great since I always hate taking time off work to drop off any of my vehicles. I found the experience to be fantastic: everyone was friendly, courteous, and the service was quick and performed well. Just from the vehicles seen in the shop and in their parking area, I think they really specialize in BMWs, but they also work on other makes (besides my Subaru, I also noticed a Lexus that was being picked up). I had been on a hunt for a reliable and honest local mechanic since I bought my own car. Luckily, I've been able to skate by for many years with oil changes and tire rotations performed religiously every 5K. I am uber happy I found Richard. My old truck made creaking noises which I dreaded to hear when going up and down driveways so I knew there was a pricey repair ahead of me. I came here for a routine oil change just so I could check this place out. With prompt courteous service and super reasonable rate of $25 for labor (bought my own oil and filter), I knew I'd come back. When my frugal handy man pop says $25 is reasonable, you bet it's reasonable, folks. Then I asked Richard to take a look at the creaking noise and sure enough, one of my struts finally blew out. Rather than just replace the one strut, I had all 4 replaced since the old lady is getting up in age anyway. Richard provided a reasonable price and returned the car before the promised pick up time. Great experience. I have zero hesitation in bringing the old lady back when it comes time for another repair. Aside from being a great and honest mechanic, Richard is an incredibly patient person. Thanks a lot, Richard! Few TIPS: Call or text Richard ahead for an appointment. This guy works hard and is incredibly busy. Always head east on Live Oak for easy access. If you coming from the east, you will need to bust a U to head east on Live Oak. There is no way to make a left into that auto center. If you have someone giving you a ride, don't have them enter the lot. Parking is TIGHT and there is little wiggle room in the lot as there are other competitors in the auto center. There were other more major service points that needed to be made for the future, but he was willing to quote and let me decide when I wanted it done. What can I say other than Richard and his guys know exactly what they are doing!!! I requested a quote estimate on yelp to do a full suspension replacement with new H&R street performance coilovers and had about a dozen businesses contact me. Big shops and small shops contacted me with various prices. Richard responded timely, answered all my questions, provided a very reasonable price estimate, as well as took the time to check out at the web page links of the products I purchased online before properly providing me an estimate. After speaking to a few businesses I made my choice and picked RTMotorworks. We set a date, price of estimate, and booked my scheduled time. When I arrived, I had a few more parts that I wanted to change and Richard was super nice and understanding about the last minute add ons. He provided me quick estimates (to which all were reasonably priced as well) and he started to work his magic. The car needed a little more work than we anticipated, but Richard communicated with me every step of the way (most importantly as soon as he realized that he would need to keep the car overnight), and even had some parts ordered on his end that also needed to be replaced. I have a Mercedes CLS550 and the driver's window would just slide down a couple of inches after I shut the car off. I couldn't make it go up until I started the car again and rolled it up. It was driving me crazy, so I looked on Yelp and saw RT had great reviews so I stopped by. Esteban helped me. He was finishing up a car and I only had to wait maybe 15 minutes. He said it was probably an electrical issue. So, he used a scanner that told him how to fix it quickly and that was that! Took maybe 10 minutes and it was fixed. This is a very honest shop and no hassle. The workers here will not over charge you. I brought in a vehicle with a broken coolant reservoir cap and the vehicle was overheating. Richard just charged for the reservoir cap and added coolant. The overheating was resolved and I was only charged for the reservoir cap. Came in for an wheel alignment for an old daily driver. The price was very competitive and they used a computerized Hunter alignment machine - the gold standard. The technician I spoke to was knowledgeable and pointed out issues related to the car's age, but did not attempt to upsell me or exaggerate any issues, and in fact explained how will be OK for a old daily driver. He also pointed out some things about the car's driving dynamics. What I really appreciate is I was treated with respect - as a woman, mechanics often talk down to me or assume I'm clueless. What they don't know is that I'm a mechanical engineer, but I keep quiet about it to see how honest they are. I'm very happy to say I believe these guys are honest and professional. And it makes sense - it seems like they're the busiest shop in the auto center :) read more

Installed custom big brakes for my car! Want to start things off by saying Richard is very quick in responding to quotes! I was quoted by him for an amazing price to install a set of front Brembo brakes. Originally these brakes were not made for my car (Ford Fusion), but were made for the Volvo S60r. There was some minor hiccups along the road but he was able to address everything and got them fitted perfect. I've had them for around 3-4 weeks now and I couldn't be happier. The Brembo brake calipers along with the new larger rotors really fill up the wheel well area. Took my 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio to have an engine oil cooler and turbo oil line installed. Richard found other issues during the install and recommended I replace some gaskets and bolts to accompany the install, he was able to get the extra parts from Alfa Romeo. Car was in the shop for over a week but it's now running like new with brand new engine parts, a fresh oil change, and fresh coolant. The dealership wanted over $4k just to install two parts, but RTM installed the same parts and ordered supporting parts to ensure the car ran perfectly for way less.
