SCAMMER! My girlfriend took my car to this schmuck to get a quote for an oil change. He over charges at $180 and told her to replace an air filter and cabin air filter it would be over $300. For those that don't know, these are cheap parts and extremely easy to change. DO NOT let any women you know go to this shop! He will take advantage of anyone's lack of knowledge. When I spoke to him he asked if they should do the oil change. I said not yet. I will call back. After I got much lower quotes from every single surrounding business, I sent my girlfriend to pick up the car. This guy did the oil change anyways. Very sneaky business owner and staff. I also checked and he buys majority of his reviews here on yelp. They are illegitimate, like the business he runs. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Mobil 1 Extended Performance Oil is $40 and is poured into your car the same way every other oil is. This is why it's important to have some knowledge going into businesses like this. read more

My brakes pads were well past the expiration date. They were at the point of that awful, grinding noise that just seems to seep into your bones. Remembered an old friend had requested Ed's a couple of years back. Finally decided to make the plunge! Very happy to say my buddy came through again. I also needed breaks and an oil change and given a fair price for all. This shop is conveniently located near the railway so it is easy to drop off and pick up around work hours. The worst experience I've ever had at a shop. My car is leaking air and I called ahead for them to stop by and check out the tire that was leaking. I drive there and he sees me coming, mind you it's 8 am and I need to get to work, haven't had my coffee. The manager sees me inside and I pull the door, he looks at me angrily and points at the door, there's a sign that says you need to wear a mask, so I motion to him I'm going to my car. He looks at me so pissed and points at the door and I noticed the signs all over the place that says "push". I go in and the first thing he says to me is "wow", I ignore and just start a normal conversation "I called earlier" and he begins to scold me "I don't care if you called me, there are 10 signs that say push" I tell him I'm taking my business elsewhere and to have a nice day. First off this is really my first negative review of any business. I am a strong supporter of small business in America being a small business owner myself The Toyota Truck we use for deliveries had an issue with the right front tire and the wheel almost fell off and our driver was in this area so we took it to Ed's for repair He said it was going to be $520 to fix and we agreed I let him know that we needed it fixed right because it could put our driver in danger with a tire falling off He fixed it we paid and left The very next day while our driver is on the freeway the SAME tire nearly falls off almost casing an accident!! I have it towed from Burbank expecting him to fix it without charging us .. the tow truck costed us $320 from Burbank So when the truck gets back there he calls me back ( the next day and towards the end of the day ) saying it was going to be another $560 to fix the same problem he didn't fix the first time He acted like it was our fault and said "well if you would maintain the truck you wouldn't have all these problems " I was like what does he know we have that truck maintained regularly with our local mechanic After he heard that I was upset and I told him that I just paid $320 !! To have it towed to him So he said " Buddy Buddy I'll take care of you and just bring me $300 cash " I was upset but just wanted to be done with it We picked up and paid and took the truck to our local mechanic who let us know that we got ripped off by this guy and the work would not have taken more then 30 minutes and we Should go and get our money back and file a complaint with the better business bureau as this could have Killed our driver !! Came in on a whim because my tire pressure light was on and it wasn't holding air. Happened to catch Ed at a good time and he was able to fix my tire with a nail in about 30 minutes. That's a big plus, but I'm really more satisfied with the genuinity and great customer service he provided. I got in, and he took care of me right away. My Mercedes 2010 E350 had a check engine light on, but I had a road trip in a few days. I immediately brought it into Ed's shop. He was able to fix it within the day and got me going. I then brought the car in a few weeks after because I had noticed a little noise whenever I go slow on my car. I wanted to be sure. First of All Ed, At the end of all the back and Forth, you never used Maserati brake pads. You said to me and my wife that you tried Maserati brake pads twice and it didn't work and now you have to use a generic after market. You never used Maserati brake pads in the first place. At the end you used aftermarket but charge for aMaserati. So please don't use the word PRIDE. I Never asked for after market. You said the first time to be that you think I was trying to save money untill we check your invoice to find out the truth. I deal straight forward. Like I said money was not an issue. These days those qualities are hard to find in a mechanic. They have worked on two of my vehicles. My custom lowered Chevy truck and my # series BMW. The knowledge and expertise of This place is not limited to import or domestic cars I've seen a few motor homes there before as well. I sent a friend of mine to them as her Nissan transmission was slipping. Ed talked to her and got her going again.
