I have a 2018 Audi Q7 that had the dreaded brake noise. I took it into VAG Garage to get the brakes and rotors replaced, dropped it off in the morning and it was ready for pick up that same evening. Everything was fine for about 2 weeks but unfortunately the brake noise came back. When I called VAG Garage to let them know, they told me not to worry and asked me to bring the car back to take a look. I don't trust anyone working on my car fr Always have had a terrible experience I do all the work on my car by myself but when going big turbo on my 2016 Jetta GLI I wasn't able to get my waste-gate actuator calibrated myself as it require expensive diagnostics tool I called up 7 shops not being able to find a single one that knew what I was talking about. If you're reading reviews and deciding which mechanic to pick, stop looking and bring your car to Zape Motors. The owners are the mechanics, and they used to run the service shop at a German dealership for years. I sent in my request through Yelp when they were closed, and they still got back to me that same evening. I had my Audi A4 towed to their shop. I live locally, so Peter, one of the owners, gave me a ride back to my house. I tried installing a backup camera with aftermarket software, and it took down my instrument panel. The car would not start, the windows would not open, and the only things that still worked were the lights. Within an hour, they had the problem diagnosed. I lost half of the Canbus programming in the car. They manually reprogrammed all the lost code, and I had my car back the same day working perfectly. These guys proved they have the equipment, skills, and knowledge to work on new German cars. If you can manually reprogram a new Audi, you know your stuff. My bad day turned into a great day. Now for the price, they charged me for their time. The time they took to fix the car was what I paid for. Now that's as fair as it gets--a straightforward, fair, and honest deal. I can only imagine the tricks the dealer would've played with my bill. I came away feeling like I met new friends, a couple of good ole family guys trying to run their own small business. read more

A diamond in the rough... Dusan is one of the guys that I will spend time posting on. I used to own a Subaru and patronize the shop next door, but since I have graduated to an Audi R8, I won't let anyone touch my Audi. Dealerships are a rip off and most of them hire incompetent service techs. Dusan has been working on Audis, VWs and BMWs longer than most mechanics, and best of all, he's up to date on his credentials. I'd give him 6 stars, but that's not possible. I recently purchased a 2003 Passat. This car had so many issues and no one could find the issue. I took it to a Volkswagen specialist and he couldn't find what the issue was. I found Dusan on Yelp and decided to give him a call. As soon as I spoke with him and told him how the car was acting he was able to guess what the problem might be (keep in mind that he had not seen the car). I took the car to him the next day and left it at his shop. He called me the next day and told me that someone had installed a performance chip and that was the reason that the car was losing power. He spent a lot of time just to diagnose my car and he didn't charge me for all of his time spent. Dusan is very experienced and is very detailed when explaining the work that needs to be done. He is a very friendly guy. He does not push you to do work that is not necessary and his prices are cheaper than the dealer. We've taken my wife's car to Auto Import Specialists a couple of times and have always had a great experience. This week, my wife's 2001 turbo VW Beetle wouldn't start so I took the car to Dusan and he was able to check a number of things and found that the fuel pump had gone bad. He replaced the fuel pump quickly and efficiently for much less than it would've cost at the dealership. Dusan was very thorough, cautious about my budget and provided helpful explanations for all the work that needed to be done - including work that could be deferred until another visit. He fixed problems that the dealership charged me for, but failed to repair. He corrected shoddy, substandard work. When I drove home from his shop the car felt like new. German autos will never be cheap to repair and maintain, but at least Dusan Sabo made it much more affordable than the dealership - and did much better, and only necessary work. I just want to throw some more positive feedback on top of the pile of great reviews for Dusan. I came to Dusan's shop with a tricky oil leak in my 2008 VW Jetta. It was a great experience working with Dusan, as he meticulously cleaned the interior under my hood and hunted down the oil leak (which happened to be the vacuum pump). Dusan takes tons of pictures to show exactly what he does to fix each problem. If he doesn't feel he can fix your issue with 100% satisfaction, he will refer you to someone that can, so there is no reason not to bring your car to Dusan. I feel lucky to have a mechanic like him in my local town. He helped me save a bunch of cash by not going to a dealer. I should get many more years of additional life out of my car. Never in life have I ever been to such an extraordinary auto shop. From the moment I walked into the shop Dusan made me feel so comfortable and you get this sense of comfort because you know he takes great care and pride in everything he does. We went in for an estimate for a coolant issue and within 20 minutes he knew where the problem was coming from and asked he can keep the car overnight to diagnosis the problem.
