I can't say how good their body work is, but the customer service at Fix Auto Monrovia was not great. I went for what was called a free estimate, but after driving over there, they gave me a verbal price but wouldn't commit to a written copy because I wanted to pay cash. State Farm referred this shop, they did a good job on the repairs. They missed a scratched window caused by the accident. I returned 5 weeks ago to show them the window and the owner agreed it was caused by the damage. I asked to not have the window repaired, all I wanted was the supplemental damage estimate sent to State Farm and have them send a payment directly to me. I told the owner I was planning on living with the scratch but I wanted what was owed to me by my insurance. He said fine. 5 weeks later I have no check. I follow up and it was never done and I'm told I have to get it repaired and no payment can be sent to me. This is not the case. That's why I pay insurance, to cover the damages to my vehicle and they are the approved estimators and I can choose anywhere to go or to live with the damage and get payed out. I called State Farm, was placed on hold. They called the owner and he told them he could not say the damage was caused by the accident in all certainty, completely different statement he made to me before he found out I didn't want to give him the work. State Farm denied paying me the cost of the window all because he wasn't happy that he wouldn't be making his labor and window price mark up. Petty behavior and dishonest after verbally agreeing with me that it was clearly caused by the accident. They lost a repeat customer and I will make sure to never refer anyone to them. They not only offered me a reasonable price when I brought my Stelvio in to repair some scratchers, but they also went out of their way to get me my car back one day sooner because I needed it for work. In addition to that, they washed and polished it on the outside, and gave it a full detail on the inside due to the dust that flies around in the summer. I don't know where to begin. But taking my car here was a nightmare. First, they lost car parts to my 2022 Lexus and tried to bill me cause my insurance wasn't going to pay for a part that wasn't damaged. Second, they were so rude to me over the phone all the time. One man told me he makes enough money he doesn't need my car or work there. As a business arguing and talking to your customers like that is so unprofessional. Third, my car was in another car accident after. The new auto body shop took my car apart and said the previous work was done so horribly they couldn't touch my car or work on it due to the rust and damages fix auto Monrovia left. They explained if they worked on it they would be liable and they can't take liability of another shops work. My car insurance explained I would have to reach out to fix auto for them to fix old damages cause the old ones tied into the new ones. I expressed how rude they were to me before and didn't feel comfortable calling them after my experience with them. As it is I'm a women and a man speaking to me like that is insulting. Well of course fix auto denied the damages they left and declined to fix it. THE WORSE PART OF ALL THIS I HAVE TO DRIVE AROUND WITH TWO DIFFERENT COLOR PAINTS. THE PAINT THEY DID DIDNT EVEN MATCH THE ORIGINAL LEXUS PAINT. What an amazing experience. Last weekend, while visiting from out of town, someone stole my catalytic converter from my car. My insurance recommended them on a list of possible places. Im going to give this a one star just for the simple fact of no good customer service. Arrived the guy said the insurance had not send in my claim which it did not really matter too much, but what had bothered me the most was the guy came outside, I explained to him where the accident happened which they had rear ended me he looked at it and I started to explained a part on my bumper where it looked like it was folded due to the accident he automatically said to me "no that's not part of the accident, that was from another accident" there was a minor scratch there but A scratch did not dent my bumper like that. For him to assume that wasn't part of my accident was unbelievable. He told me he was going to reach out but I never went back switched to another body shop in Pasadena were they were a lot more helpful, friendlier, and actually made me feel safe leaving my car there and actually seemed like they wanted to help me. This place is a nightmare! I brought in my car after a collision and they did a complete Mickey Mouse job!!! I've already had to take it back to them 3 times since they told me it was ready about 5 days ago. Rick offered me a free rental (after trying to convince me that every issue was "normal" and "no big deal") while they attempt to fix their mistakes for a 3rd time! No thanks. I'm better off going elsewhere. And he still had the nerve to ask me to give a good rating on the survey. HA. Unbelievable. I just had my car painted by S&D and the results were absolutely fantastic. First, the personal service was fantastic. Rick was so easy to deal, quoted the price, and there were no surprises. During the work, I would get text messages letting me know how the work was progressing. Several times Rick called letting me know when I could expect completion. I stopped in during the work and saw my car prior to painting. I hardly recognized it. The lights, trim, emblems were all removed. Rick showed me this clearly proud of the work. 4Runner. Just pickup 2018 Toyota 4Runner from S&D for a second time attempt paint jobs and still didn't match to the original color. First time paint jobs was dipped and has much of a darker color/too much metallic than original. It was a disaster. Paint bonding compounds sticked on paint every where. Dusty all over inside the card and stains on leather seats. In addition, S&D damaged window defrost coppers during uninstall/install and didn't take a responsible for their act. Guys, if you want two tones colors S&D is the place. But if you want your vehicle to match color same as manufacture than S&D is no so much of a place! read more

This was my first time getting in any sort of an accident. I thought my car was totaled. But Nestor and his entire team at this location made the process so unbelievably Pleasant! They were sending me daily texts to let me know how my car was doing. I was informed every step of the way. Dissatisfied, front bumper is still hanging off the clips, the edge lines for the the gaps of the car do not aline. The work looks like it was conducted by 2year olds the inner parts of the door look like they were sanded but not painted plus big chunks of pant were nicked out of the door and now painted. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. But they were fast so if you wanted something done fast and don't care about the end product this place is for you. read more
