Richard is a great guy and a great mechanic. He really knows what he's doing and will quickly diagnose whatever problems your car is having. His prices are also excellent so you don't need to bother with haggling over the price unlike other shops. I take all my family's cars here for any issues and also routine stuff like oil changes. Usually I take my car in first thing in the morning, and within an hour Richard will call me and let me know what needs to get fixed. Usually my car is ready before noon. There's a taiwanese breakfast place (yung ho), starbucks, coffee shop, and library nearby, so you can go get breakfast or get some work done while your car is being fixed. For routine stuff like oil changes my cars is usually ready by the time I've finished breakfast. Highly recommnded this auto shop, can't imagine any place better in the area. read more

Monday July 13, 2020 2:00PM I refused to review this place for a while.. [The guy is really good at fixing cars and I am still a little worried he will get too busy. But hey, this is just one review. Hah!] Oh and they are the only auto shop I tip because they've saved me so much time and you know what they say.. "time is money" Richard is a one of the few friendly mechanics that I fully trust. He has the knowledge, gives a good price and has the experience to fix many cars. Oh and he is honest when he doesn't know something. The shop's service provides automobile performance and parts; they can provide parts and/or try to fix the engine, transmission, axle, etc... In the corner close to Santa Anita Ave and West Live Oak next to Bellagio but it's on West Live Oak. There is a divider between the East and West bound lanes of West Live Oak. The only way in is if you turn right heading East bound on Live Oak before Bellagio Car Wash. The parking lot can appear packed with cars and it can take a bit to find space but you will manage to find a spot. For your safety be respectful wear a mask covering your nose and mouth and do not go inside because they are constantly working on some heavy machinery and accidents can happen. It will take a few minutes for them to notice you but a worker will come up and ask what you need and they will check it out. They will let you know how long it will take to fix your car and you can choose to stay or go where you please. Once the car is ready they will let you know via text, call or walk up to you if you're there patiently waiting. Then tell you everything they've done and the price price. Allergy precautions: Sometimes a cat is loitering around I suggest to call and let him know if you're allergic to cats. If you're highly allergic, do not go to this shop. Your healthy should be a priority. Every worker I have encountered in here gave exceptional service. read more

I'll start by echoing what many others have stated here. Richard is punctual, reliable, honest, and communicative. Best part about all this, it is all at a great value. I was handed down a E90 3 series by a dear relative who took great care of it, and I wanted to continue said great care. I'll be at ease taking it to Richard for my future maintenance. He took care of oil change, brake flush, alignment, and brake/rotors change on my car so far. And wow...the car drives like new. read more

Was recommended to RTMotorworks by many family and friends who said Richard was super good and someone they trust. Due to my Honda having issues and reaching over 110k, I had my car recently serviced by Richard and his team. So glad I came. Richard was super helpful, and got everything I requested looked closely at. Could tell he is very honest, and pricing was very fair. Definitely trumps any dealership, which I never go to anyways. After getting my rear shocks replaced and other services, my husband and I noticed that that it is a very noticeable smoother drive. I asked Richard about this mysterious clicking noise that my cousin, husband and I couldn't figure out, and Richard fixed it! One side note Is that I especially liked that he also can contact you via text the services needed, which allowed me to review the service and costs easily. He also took the time to show me my old parts compared to new, which was nice. This is now my new go-to place for future services and repairs. I suggest to make an appointment first before going. This review simply doesn't do justice on what Richard and his team has done for me. The knowledge and expertise Richard has is beyond the scope compared to anywhere else. As an enthusiast myself, I aim for perfection, just like how Richard does. Richard advises me on certain things that I was not aware of, leading my car and build to its perfect self. Initially, I went to RTM to get my springs installed and not only such true professionalism was showed, but really catered to me personally and felt like I was a friend rather than a nameless customer. I was referred by many people and there is a reason why RTM gets many referrals; you won't find another place that offers true expertise and professionalism with Euro cars and builds. After that, I started going to RTM and Richard for every possible reason if issues were to arise and he always took great care of me. I even personally recommended my friend to visit him and she had an amazing time from RTM and the team. Compared to the work Richard provides, his quote is extremely reasonable and pricing is definitely affordable compared to other shops who has a fixed quote or higher quote but doesn't nearly get the job done like how RTM does. Thank you Richard, RTM, and the team. You guys are killing it. read more

LOVE RTM!! Richard is the best when it comes to body work and regular maintenance. I first brought my car in for some work on the side door from an accident. The door was scraped and dented in really badly. Richard did the repairs quickly and the door looks as good as new. He was able to get that ugly dent out and match the original paint color. It's like the accident never happened. On top of all that amazing work, the price was right. It was significantly cheaper than what other garages and collision shops were quoting. After that initial visit, I brought in my mom's van to get a second opinion on what the dealer was pushing us to have done to the van. They were piling on the services and exaggerating the problem. When I brought up the issue with Richard, he looked over the car and took it for a test drive. He honestly told us that the rotors were still perfectly fine and the issue could be solved with a quick change of the brake pads. Totally saved us over $1000 if we had done what the dealer was trying to push. Bringing our cars into RTM guarantees that the problem will be assessed efficiently and accurately. Richard always gives you the best price and your car will be ready ASAP. RTM has become our family auto repair shop. read more

I had a wonderful experience with RTMotorworks and cannot recommend them highly enough. After receiving an absolutely outrageous repair estimate from another shop for work needed on my GL450, I decided to get a second opinion and presented the exact same issues to the team at RTM. Not only did they accurately diagnose the vehicle, but they were able to completely fix the issues for a fraction of the cost I was originally quoted. On top of the incredible savings, they completed the repairs in a very reasonable timeframe and kept me updated throughout the process. I found myself having to look up arguments online just to have an edge against other shops. However, I want to leave this review for David, Kevin, and Da for their exceptional care for my car. Story time It was a Saturday night out celebrating a friend's birthday. I'm on the 210 West heading back home when tragedy struck. Saving the details of what happened, I can tell you that I was definitely planning on starving myself a few days so I can pay up at a dealership but I desperately took the chance to ask around this time. Out of the 5 shops I inquired, SGV Automotive was the only ones who shown genuine interest and care. David checked up on me to see if I was okay and we then scheduled for an appointment and luckily they were extremely flexible with my scheduling for a quick diagnosis and scheduled a timeline for expectations. I show up the very next day. Two gentleman comes up to me and immediately gets to work with diagnosing and communicating with me. I've never seen such transparency. From past experiences my expectation was: give the key, sit in a waiting room for an hour, debate about buying a snack, wait another hour for them to get started, then thrown with paperwork before knowing what even was the diagnosis. Current experience: communication, care, collaboration, education, reassurance, any most importantly transparency. They helped get me to a rental place and picked me up as well. Definitely went above and beyond. Happy to say that I was able to eat this week. Not looking forward to future car repairs, but as an LA native who expects car troubles too often, I'm glad I have these guys in mind for future services. Appreciate all that you guys do. (They also have uhauls for rental and a friendly kitten named Lulu that comes to welcome you).

Will has the expertise and skill to diagnose and repair our 13-year old vehicles. Older vehicle requires more attention and expertise to repair and Will is the right mechanic to handle the job. We had a trip in July to Mammoth Lakes and I had asked Will to thoroughly check out the Mazda prior to the trip. I had performance issues with the Mazda and Will was able to assess that the alternator was bad, the spark plugs were worn and the rear brakes were just about gone. I just got back from the trip and I must say the vehicle accelerated up the mountain peaks so well that I began to wonder what in the world was the dealership service doing to my vehicle all those years? Recommendation: Don't keep calling Will about when your car will be ready or keep calling him to ask how much this or that will cost. Will is very busy working on cars. He will call you when your car is completely ready and he will itemize the repairs and explain all costs in detail. Will will save you money because he gets to the root of the problem and his labor rate is considerable cheaper than any dealership. You will have peace of mind that your car will drive reliably and perform if you let Will repair your car.
