Korean macarons are these chubby/thick filled macarons that ive been loving. Theyre not as sweet as the traditional French macarons! This shop is tucked away in the strip and I actually learned about them from Jen K. I think they started off as online orders only and now they have an actual location!! Congrats! Makes it that much easier for me to pick up treats whenever i want cuz i never know when im in the area! Flavours vary week to week. So you can check their Instagram for flavour updates. Boxes also cost extra. But individual wrappers are free of charge with the purchase. Their macarons range from $2-5-$2.75 each. Great prices compared to similar products in the GTA. Definitely worth it!

I pre-ordered through their Google Form on their Instagram. Their prices for individual macarons are similar to French macarons sold at other dessert places. Someone confirmed my order via text later that same day and pickup went super smoothly. I have never tried Korean macarons before but it was very interesting! The shells were a good texture and the filling was very buttery and not too too sweet like some macarons can be. I got a macaron cake for my friend and she loved it. It's packaged beautifully so would definitely recommend for gifts.

One of my fave spots fo get macarons and they never disappoint! They all tasted amazing but if I had fo pick a fave if would be their Creme Brûlée macaron, it's a must! Don't let the buttercream THICness scare you, they're not heavy ! For a Box of 5 there's a $.5 fee for the box and for the Box of 10 is $1. Boxes are free over a minimum of $30 before tax and you can get an extra 10% if you pay cash Highly recommend to preorder so you get the flavours you want

I love Korean style macaroons more than the traditional ones for the creamy and thick filling (which isn't sweet btw) that compliments the cookie perfectly! I loved the flavours that we got, especially the Crunchy Strawberry We got one of each flavour but definitely need to come earlier next time because some that we wanted to get were sold out already!

I was surprised that this few blocks really transforms the vibe - Brick & Butter Bakehouse's is near Greenview avenue, relaxing street which has a lot of green spaces alongside, giving the neighbourhood a luxurious vibe. We got - Plain croissant - Dubai chewy cookie - Canelé Plain croissant, looks beautifully golden and was flaky - I felt that it was a bit dry. It had a nice honeycomb crumb structure, but this interior was not soft. Overall taste felt very bland, leaving just saltiness/dryness on the palate. Canele was okay, but the caramelization of the outer did not achieve the bitterness I desired. The texture was not as delicate. The outer was crunchy but I felt it was too thick. Taste of the interior was good and moist. I wished to have more rummy flavor. Dubai chewy cookie - It was chewy outside like mochi, but inside was runny with some crunchy pieces. Good, but did not have depths and layers that I desired. Overall, overpriced for what was offered. But nice place to take a break when walking in this pleasant neighbourhood!

I hadn't heard of Brick & Butter Bakehouse, but it seemed highly regarded here, so it was a no-brainer. We showed up and the place was busy. I was a little full from the aforementioned meal, so I began looking at the smaller pastries. I eventually landed on the Peanut Butter Strawberry Crumble Financier, which I took to a nearby table and began eating. Oh man is it ever good. It's a delicious, rich cake that's subtle in its flavors but ultimately completely addictive. I honestly don't know how or if it could've possibly been any better. I can't wait to return to Brick & Butter to try some of their other offerings.

A collection of cheesecake slices, custard tarts and pastries were available for pick up. The staff was courteous and has a self service concept. For dine ins - a minimum of 8$ per person order is essential, so be mindful of this criteria else you can surely opt for take aways! Mango crepe- amazing portions and the crepe was exceptionally soft. The consistency was perfect coupled with fresh sponge cake and mango bits. The STAR was the ice cream- flavours which felt authentic and a much needed change from the artificial coloured mango based ice creams widely available. TOTALLY WORTH YOUR BUCKS! Just a suggestion the main entrance is just opposite the cashier making it congested at the area, crumpling the space.

The only reason for the 4 star review is that the ambiance is lacking and far more of a takeout place than a sit down, with plastic cutlery being used for dine-in. You put your order in through a QR code so don't have much to say about service but the food and drinks did come out quickly. That being said, I'd definitely come back here in a heartbeat.

The only odd thing is the outlet situation--it's a bit chaotic--so it's not exactly the best spot if you're planning to camp there with a laptop and pretend to be productive. On that first visit, I ordered the rice dacquoise and, to be honest, it kind of spooked me. I think I was expecting something like a macaron with whipped cream in the middle, but it was much lighter and softer than that. My brain didn't quite know how to process it. A few months later, I ended up coming back because I desperately needed a late evening coffee and the nearby Togo Coffee was closed. And wow, Luna Bakery makes excellent espresso drinks & I was not expecting that. The latte was incredibly creamy, nutty, and subtly sweet, with all that sweetness coming naturally from the perfectly roasted beans. Every sip felt like a small trip to caffeine paradise. I also gave the rice dacquoise another shot - this time the strawberry one - and suddenly it made sense lol. Light, slightly fruity, a little tangy, and perfect with the coffee. Now I enjoy coming back - partly for the coffee, and partly because my taste buds have finally learned to appreciate the rice pastries instead of being spooked by them. Service is always friendly - they never judge you for trying way too many free rice bakery samples. Bless.

Found this spot and they had a good selection mid afternoon to pick up on a Sunday. The person at the counter is super helpful in helping describe the cake. They have basque cheesecake which is richer and the flavour I'm sure the person I'm gifting would confidently enjoy but I wasn't sure if they would prefer the lightness of their popular options over the classic. She explained the glazed popular cheesecakes they have aren't regular New York style cheese cake (despite their Uber Eats describing it as such for their Yakult flavour cheese cake). It's more like cheesecake mousse. I didn't want to get the basque cheesecake because it didn't look as nice. So she said the black sesame is in between the classic basque / New York cheesecake and the popular glazed mousse cheesecake. It's also made of marscapone and layered with matcha and not too sweet. It's also her fav so I went with her recommendation. I notice the black sesame cake isn't shown as available on Uber Eats delivery. I decided to pick up in person to make sure the delivery goes smoothly. The price difference is just $1. However, Uber Eats does charge tax and other fees whereas there's no tax at all on pick up. I eventually tried a piece and it does taste like a hybrid cheesecake in texture though the middle thin layer is a bit soggy, though I didn't mind that part. However, even though I love matcha I'm not a fan of the matcha and black sesame combination. I think I would've like a layer with more intense black sesame as the cake itself and the black sesame very subtle. The matcha is more intense creating an imbalance and over powers the black sesame flavour in the cake. Still a tasty cake especially for someone that prefers lighter not too sweet cakes. Note the staff does hand you the payment and there's a tip option of 10% as the lowest suggested option, which I found kinda excessive for just putting a cake in the box. They don't even make cakes at this location. It's all made in the Sauga location and she didn't even write the happy birthday on the cake. I know it's optional but it's just the consumer experience, I tipped but I feel like the tipping culture is a bit excessive to pass onto the consumer to tip on an expensive cake. Just price the cake fairly to compensate the employee or waive for pick ups and have it for only dine-ins. Unlike the previous review, it seems like they do provide a little free happy birthday topper and also a complimentary skinny candle and you're also welcome to buy extra candles if you want. They also sell some $10~ decorative helium balloons to make your celebration a bit more festive. This is their second location. The main one being in Sauga, which I've been told has been in operation for over 25 years apparently. This one I was told was opened in the last 2 years.
