The ingredients also seemed low quality. The taste wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't great--I'd call it mediocre at best. I won't be ordering from here again. The concept is also a bit odd, with a pizza and donut shop sharing the same space, and the staff came across as disengaged and lacking personality. The one positive was the fast service. However, I was neither asked nor informed that my pizza would be double-cut into very small slices. That should be an option offered to customers, not the default preparation method.

It's often hard for people to agree on whether one is good, bad, or great. I had several guests come over so I ordered large pepperoni pizza with green bell peppers and onions. We all agreed - It was great, lots of toppings and the right amount of cheese and sauce. Crust was perfect texture. It was ready when promised so I quickly drove it home to a hungry group. There are many pizza places much closer to me, but I had to try this one. I am taking a class at Orange Coast College and one to the cooler classmates (Simeon) told us how great their pizzas are at his location in South Irvine. But I went to the one at Jamboree and Irvine Blvd. It was great there, too. It's in a shopping center with lots of parking and a short walk to Ralph's to pick up some beer and sodas. Anyway, everyone enjoyed the pizza and will return when I am in the area again craving for great pizza. Pizza like this went great with some bottled craft beer. We got Cauliflower crust, Smoke Show, largest size, and two small pizzas with regular crust and of course extra bbq suave and red onion. All three staff were super friendly and made the experience pleasant. I was overwhelmed by the choices and couldn't decide on gluten free or cauliflower crust and staff in an orange colored hat recommended cauliflower. It was crunchy and delicious!!!! I chose one of their preset menu options: Smoke Show flavors were divine and everything went so well together. Added their garlic sauce as well. Definitely on my favorite list to order again. The other two pizzas were yummy as well especially with the roasted garlic on top. Causal, yet welcoming dining experience. Bathroom was clean. Also, thanks for not making us feel dumb for taking forever deciding our options. Rare these days to get service where staff wants to talk to you and your party. LOL

You wouldn't pay $16.69 for a salad this size & standard at a sit-down restaurant, let alone a chain pizza place, it didn't even come with a drink. At this price, go to the "State" Pizza Kitchen for better offerings. As for the pizza, the dough was good, better than Pieology when they were still in town, but not $16.69 good. If you're not into having an abundance of toppings, go to a proper pizza restaurant at this price. I like that the pies cook in a hot fired oven as opposed to commercial ovens. Skip the olives, they are canned...the kind that gives you reflux. A couple of odd things: they don't have chili flakes or parmesan cheese in sprinkle jars, only packets which is kinda wasteful. Also, they offer milk or juice boxes with kids meals, fountain drinks are not an option. Pro-tips: they have a loyalty program through their app and word on the street is you can place orders up to 7 days in advance. They offer vegan cheese, but no vegan meat toppings. Veggies are better for your health anyway, hah.

The pizza maker was attentive, friendly, but lacked attention to detail as you can see by the picture. The second pizza is not double doughand certainly not double chicken. It's as if the person did not know how to do a double dough crust. It was like eating a cracker pizza. So sad. Moving on to the end, the finishing the pizza was oblivious as to what was asked. I told him 4 times to do a BBQ drizzle, only to have the person load the pizza in the boxes and then ask again if I wanted any additional toppings. It's as if the person did not want to go to the other side to get the BBQ sauce. I also got a deep dish cookie with the ice cream on the side to go. If a team member did not tell the person to put the ice cream in a plastic to go container, he was going to put it next to the cookie in a paper carton. I had to explain that the previous times I've ordered the deep dish cookie, they put it in a half pizza box to keep it warm and covered. He seemed puzzled, but did as I requested. Obviously we still be going back to this location since its close, but hopefully this review will reach management so they can look into quality control. There are team members that are true pizza masterpiece makers. It's just too bad they can't make the pizza all the time.
