The guy with the backwards hat has a extreme attitude problem.

The guy in the backwards hat has a major attitude problem. I just picked up an online order and he obviously hates his job. If you don't like your job, don't work here!! I've never felt so unwelcomed ever as a paying customer.

A nice neighborhood pizza place! The pizza was delicious and tasty. We got a pepperoni pizza and it was made just right. The cashier was friendly and nice. We will definitely return in the near future.

Pizza by the slice

Having lived in Irvine for almost 15 years, I've tried every pizza joint from First Class, Ameci and even Lampost Pizza. Humbly, I have to say that Northwood Pizza easily takes the #1 spot. But let me tell you why. Crust is crisp, and actually tasted like bread that has been baked through and holds itself well because I've had way too much pizza that just collapses when you lift it. Toppings are fresh with flavor and generous cheese completes the trifecta. They have pizza by the slice, or whole and made to order. The team is always nice and patient when you call an order in, I like that they can remember you calling in if you've ordered there before. It's an important step to me that makes the process just really simple. If you are looking for local, mom and pop feel and really good pizza (that's not cheap!) come by and grab a slice. They have a medium sized patio you can chill out at. You won't regret it, Northwood comes through every time!

XL 16" (half = white pizza; half = chicken)

Finally get a chance to try this place after moving to Northwood 3 years ago, and it didn't disappoint! Looking at the pictures, I thought it was just your neighborhood pizza place where you go only if you need a late night meal. But after trying it, I now understand why it's been around for so long and still has such high ratings. We ordered a XL 16" (12 slices) for one adult and three pizza-loving kids. It was nice that we were able to order half-half and customize each half -- white pizza (white sauce + tomato) and bbq chicken for us. My kids usually only eat (and like) cheese pizza from costco, but they really enjoyed this one. I liked the chewy crust and the juicy pieces of chicken. Ok, so it's a bit more expensive than costco but you've got to support the local neighborhood's business WHILE enjoying great pizza right?

Pepperoni Pizza

Ordered deliver from this spot for the first time! I got a simple pepperoni pizza and it was pretty good! Would order from this spot again!

Pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms and bell peppers.

Our go to place for takeout pizza nights. Excellent quality pizza at a decent price from a local family owned restaurant with friendly staff.

Ever since they outsourced delivery to DoorDash it's a pain to order. The drivers always get lost.

This is one of the best pizza places in OC…read more I've ordered several different pizzas and slices, and all have been excellent. Chicken parm Sandwhich was amazing. And their garlic knots are addictive! Food is always top-notch. Every single employee I've interacted with has been very nice. Perfect setup in their dining area as you can comfortably sit and watch a sporting event on their many tv's. All in all, this place is never a disappointment!

He swears it is the best New York style pizza in California that he's tried. I had to try it as well. We ended up getting the largest pie you could buy with pepperoni on one side for him and pepperoni and pineapple with extra sauce for me. Don't judge me. Lol The pizza was absolutely delicious and on the side there was red pepper, oregano, Parmesan cheese, and garlic powder. I have the latter three and let me tell you that combination added so much good flavor to the already delicious pizza. From the crust to the cheese to the toppings; every bite left you wanting another. The ambience of the restaurant was rather pleasant and I appreciated how many open tables there were. There was an outside patio with some old-school arcade games and made for good environment for people wanting to get away after a solid day of work and enjoy some great pizza. The service we experienced was stellar as well The staff was friendly and hospitable upon arriving to when we left. Thank you for serving us and bringing the pizza to our table. I look forward to coming here again and trying some different ingredients. If you decide to come here, let me know. I'd be happy to join you. --Derrek with 2Rs

Food is outstanding…read more I initially intended to order 2 happy hour items and then an entree and pizza to go. Sat down at the bar and watched a little bit of the MLB Playoffs. There's a lot of Happy Hour items and drinks at reasonable prices. An extensive menu. I don't think Ive ordered a pasta dish or meatballs at a restaurant for nearly 5 years but kept debating about the appetizer meatballs. Ordering took longer than expected and I felt uncomfortable so I opted to just pick two items for take-out. The Saporita pizza was phenomenal. It's on par with any pie Ive eaten at a Chef Bianco restaurant. Worth every penny. Quality ingredients and delicious. I thought the prosciutto pizza was incredible with huge slices of meat and would definitely get it again. My main issues is with the service. Our server barely asked us any questions and barely greeted us. We didn't even get water until I asked someone else to bring it for us. We were also celebrating my mom's birthday, which was put on our reservation, however nothing special was done. I feel like usually restaurants do something for a special occasion, but they didn't do it here. If it's not the way it's done here, that's totally fine, but I wouldn't recommend coming here for a date night or special occasion since the service felt quite cold. Overall, I thought the food was good but the service could use a little pick me up.

My friends got the Spaghetti allo Scoglio and Cavatelli Zucchine e Gamberi and they loved theirs too. Dear Owner, I…read moresincerely hope you take the time to read this because my experience at your restaurant was absolutely unacceptable. Your establishment is genuinely one of the biggest catfishes I have ever experienced. The way your restaurant is advertised online compared to the actual service and food quality is honestly embarrassing. First of all, let's talk about your bald male manager, because I genuinely cannot understand how someone with such a horrible attitude is placed in a management position. His customer service was absolutely nonexistent. He was rude, dismissive, unwelcoming, and completely unprofessional. This man had the personality of a rock, and it genuinely seemed like interacting with paying customers was an inconvenience to him. When I asked him what he would recommend from the menu for our table, he gave us absolutely ZERO suggestions. Not one recommendation, not one helpful answer, not even the slightest effort to guide us through the menu. How are you managing a restaurant when you cannot even recommend something from your own establishment? That is literally one of the most basic parts of working in hospitality. A customer should be able to ask about popular dishes, house specialties, or what the restaurant is known for and receive a helpful response. Instead, we were met with absolutely no enthusiasm, no knowledge being offered, and no interest in helping us. And here comes the most ridiculous part. This same manager adds the biggest tip for himself! I find that absolutely outrageous considering the level of service we received. How can someone put absolutely no effort into providing a pleasant dining experience and then expect to receive the largest gratuity? Tips should be earned through excellent service, not treated as an entitlement. If you are adding gratuities to customers' bills, there should be complete transparency about those charges and where that money is going. Now let's discuss the food. THE CALAMARI WAS UNDERCOOKED. I cannot believe I paid to eat at a restaurant only to be served seafood that did not appear to be properly cooked. That is completely unacceptable. Seafood needs to be prepared carefully, and the last thing a customer should have to worry about after eating at your establishment is whether they might wake up the next morning with food poisoning. Instead of enjoying my evening, I left genuinely concerned about what I had eaten. What makes this entire experience so frustrating is that none of these expectations are unreasonable. I was not asking for special treatment, free food, or anything extraordinary. I simply expected properly prepared food, a manager who could offer basic menu recommendations, and respectful customer service. Apparently, even those simple expectations were too much for this establishment. As the owner, you should genuinely be concerned about the impression your management is leaving on customers. Your employees, especially your managers, represent your business. When someone in charge cannot answer basic questions about the menu, treats guests with an attitude, and appears more interested in collecting tips than delivering decent service, it reflects poorly on the entire establishment. I strongly encourage you to review how gratuities are being handled, evaluate your management's approach to customer service, and address the quality control coming out of your kitchen. Nobody should be leaving your restaurant feeling disrespected, disappointed, and concerned about whether their food was safe to eat. Your restaurant might look appealing online, but attractive pictures mean absolutely nothing when the actual experience is this terrible. I spent my hard-earned money expecting a nice dining experience, and instead, I received rude management, zero menu guidance, questionable food preparation, and an experience I would never want to repeat. My advice to your bald manager: Before worrying about receiving the biggest tip, perhaps learn how to provide service that actually deserves one. A management title means absolutely nothing when you cannot demonstrate basic hospitality. I sincerely hope you take these concerns seriously because this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I have ever had. ZERO STARS if I could. I will not be returning, and I certainly would not recommend this establishment based on my experience.
