Was not happy with the results of my SNS manicure. There was a black dot on one fingernail & a red dot on another. Showed the nail tech she opened the jar of powder & mumbled something but offered no solution. I think something foreign was in the powder. I decided to get my acrylics nails removed at this salon because I had previously got drip nails here and they lasted a month. However, this time that I went, I thought the nail technician was going to remove the nail polish using acetone-soaked cotton balls and then remove the remainder of the polish with a nail buffer but he went all in with a drill. He was drilling to get the nail polish off without realizing that he was making a big cut in the middle of my fingernail, which I sadly didn't quite notice due to the fact that I have a high pain tolerance level. At the end, they charged me $10 and sent me home with a deep cut in my fingernail, which they recommended to cover up with a bandaid. read more

Nobody else in the salon was asked to pay before heading to the counter besides myself. I feel like i was racially discriminated against being the only person of color asked to pay before hand. First time visiting this salon , won't be back I always find it super rude when employees talk in their language it's something to maybe say a couple words but when they keep talking and you are sitting in front of them it doesn't take a mad scientist to figure out they are talking about you anyways it was my bday and I wanted to do my nails , I wanted a basic French manicure and obviously since they where my nails it's not a expensive job but the nail tech was new or she was not good at her job basically she just put clear polish and did the white strip my nails where a lil yellow from using polish often so I Thought if she would have used pink color it would look nicer but she went ahead and just did that and called it a day I asked the owner and another employee if they use pink instead of clear they both said Yes Yes pink and called it a French manicure . All this time the nail tech was not understanding what I was asking her but when it came to the payment she totally understood how much tip I left her she was FAST at figuring that out ! This was my first visit here at Rose Nails! I came in after 6pm on a Saturday evening! I expected it to be super crowded! But when I walked in it was just me and 2 other ladies receiving services so I was able to be seen right away! There were so many available techs I was hearing voices from all over the room asking what I needed! Then when seated (because all I came in for was a pedicure) they brought me over a complimentary drink menu for pedicure clients! I made my selection and they promptly brought it over! He cause her fingers to bleed multiple times and was extremely rough. He looked at the photo 3 separate times and did the wrong color, added color that want supposed to be there, there's still gel on her fingers and did the design horribly. Her nails were crooked and and square shaped when she clearly said she wants coffin shaped nails. I have never seen my friend as upset as she was today. If you're going to do your job, do it right. I think I'm being nice for giving them 1 star. I am very picky with my nails especially the gel. Many of you ladies know that it it expensive and so you expect it done the right way. I came here even after bad reviews because my friend had said they're really good. Okay sure I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. So I got a manicure gel and a pedicure. When she was doing my pedicure, the nail polish on my nail kept on bubbling and the border of my nail to my skin was jagged so I nicely pointed it out...she tried fixing it with her nail...got more messed up so she decided to put a polish on top of it. Well that didn't fix it either so i just asked is it okay if we just do it over. Well she did...but of course I can tell she was not happy about it. Well if you can see in the picture she didn't even get the whole side of that nail. I feel bad for complaining so I try to limit it. (See pictures) So on to my manicure. Well the polish kept bubbling again. I suggested to use another polish. She was insistent on using the one I chose. I was like okay sure. Well everything that bubbles she either tries to fix it by taking that portion out or just covers it with another later. Needless to say I probably have 4 layers on my nails and you ladies know that thicker the gel doesn't always necessarily mean the better. One finger, oddly enough my middle finger's gel polish is distorted, again you can look at the pictures. Some nails have the same problem with my toe nails; it didn't cover the sides. Some bubbles remained. I just said enough because it would have taken me all day if I stayed there to fix everything. It's time for a change .... I've been coming here for about 2 years on every few months for a treat and it's always been mediocre but gets the job done. My biggest issue is I've yet to find someone in this shop who knows how to polish nails. Some do a good job cleaning them up and there's a guy who does really well on the pedis. Today was just not a good day for nails. I could have done my nails better than The lady who did my nails today. I'll just say take your chances, it's affordable, they are all very nice. It seems like most of the regulars make an appointment with the guy owner. most times I've been there it's just about decent but today I literally went up the road and had my gel polish I'd just gotten done taken off .... I got a gel manicure here on a whim because I couldn't get in where I usually go. I am really underwhelmed. First, the girl shaped my nails wrong. I specifically said square with rounded corners, but got round. Since you can't really get nail back once it's filed down, I just had to go with it, but I told her to do my french tip with a really thin white line to compensate. I asked twice to narrow the line, but I kept being told it looked good that way. She complained several times about how short my nails were. I don't bite them, so they weren't below the cuticle, I just had a couple break in the past week. (I'm rough on my hands--why I needed shellac!!) I also wanted silver sparkles put over the white tip. After testing it on the first nail, she told me it didn't look good and wiped it off. I now have a line of silver sparkles under the already too thick white line. Ultimately, my biggest complaint is how much of the clear gel polish was on my fingers. My index and middle fingers of my left hand were covered well over the tips with clear polish. After I left I had to go back and cut the clear gel off the tip of almost every finger. It took a couple days, but I have finally gotten all the polish off the tips of my fingers. The one good thing about this manicure, considering how thick the line is, as long as I can manage to keep it from chipping, it'll look good until Thanksgiving, as that is when the french tip will finally look proportional to my nails. Maybe this was my fault because I wasn't forceful enough with my protests, but I honestly don't think I'm willing to give them another chance to find out. read more

I would give 0 stars, but I HAD to at least put one in order to leave my review!! My mother, my sisters and my nieces have all been patrons of this business for some time. Not anymore!!!! My mother got a gift certificate from one of my sisters for Christmas in 2019. The gift certificate said it was good for 6 months. In January 2020, my mother was diagnosed with melanoma and started treatment. Then, of course, in March 2020, the country went on lockdown for COVID-19. In May of 2020 nail salons were allowed to reopen with mask mandate and social distancing. My mother was advised by her Oncologist to remain in lockdown because of her weakened immune system. I called the salon to explain the situation, and asked if they would still honor the gift certificate past the 6 month expiration and they said "Yes", just call when she got the "all clear" from her doctor. Well, my mother was given the Covid-19 vaccine recently and got the ok from her doctor to resume a somewhat normal life outside the home. When I called to make an appointment, I asked to speak with the manager so that I could explain things again. The gentleman that answered said that he was the manager so I proceeded to explain the situation again. He was rude and uncaring and said he would honor the gift certificate 50%. I was shocked at the cold, rude attitude!! They made money for doing absolutely nothing!!!! This establishment will NEVER see another dime from me, my family and anyone that I can reach!! Treat your customers well....we should not just be $$$ to you. We patronized your business for you to support your family and we returned after Covid-19 to help you recoup the losses you may have suffered due to the pandemic....the least you could do is have compassion for you clients!!! read more

I usually get a decent pedicure there. I got the gel nails polish and the 1st time was by a Spanish girl there, she did and excellent job. I go back the 2nd time and I got the owner or manager and he did a shit job with an attitude to boot. I won't go back again because of how nasty and uncaring he was. Told him I only wanted a little cut off he cut more then half and stuck my hands in ice cold acetone to soak them off. He filed them ugly and nowhere near the shape I came in with. They were all different lengths and the gel polish was lumpy. He knew he messed up but he didn't give a damn. I have been coming here for years and the owners wife has always done my pedicure. Well today she was busy and had another guy do it. I hesitated but the owner insured me he was great. Not so much. Getting my cuticles cut is the main reason I get pedicures and he just skipped over that step, it went downhill from then. No one offered to fix his mistake or discount the bad service. I am extremely upset about my experience here today. I went in with my sister to get a full set each. I showed them a picture of what I wanted upon walking thru the door and they told me $45 for what I wanted. Once I sat and the lady started to shape my nails she told me it would be an additional 5 for that. However, she could not shape them and after complaining about the shape 3 times, the mrg had to come and fix them. That 5 was taken off. They gave me the biggest attitude bc they couldn't shape my nails the way I asked. Upon cashing out, they tried to add another 5 on for a design. When I refused to pay more than I was originally told they kicked me out of the store. Now for a powder gel full set is 30, and if the gel polish I got is an additional 5 and so is the design why did I pay 45 each for both my sister and I when it should have been 40. These people don't care about how happy their clients may be or not with the final product. They just want their money and will over charge when they can. I will never be returning. read more

I should have known better just from the aesthetics of the place, but was cornered in, looking for a place that could accommodate my 4 friends and i at the same time the day before my wedding. They were really nice, and took an appointment, then were ready when we waltzed in an hour early. The price is fair for a mani-pedi, I think. It was $45.00 french tips on both. They were efficient and really nice. It took about 45 minutes for all of us to indulge in mani-pedi's. My compaint starts the next day, my wedding day! I awoke to 2 chipped finger nails and one chipped toe nail. They just chipped like crazy from there. I would say that they looked alright for 2 days, but past that, I looked unkempt. I wasn't expecting great things from the manicure, I'm a bit rough with my hands, but I was expecting the pedicure to last at least until after my honeymoon. I suppose they're using sub-par or old nail polish, because what was left on my nails literally melted off in the sun at the beach. My first day, relaxing on the beach, and I was a melted, gooey mess with sand all over my hands. Sexy look! I definitely won't go back for any nail services. My friend took me, my mother and my 8 year old daughter to Rose Nails on 7/30/11 for mani-pedi's. Today is 10/18/11 and mine and my mothers toenail polish is still on.
