See the red on my skin? Yeah, That's not gel...that's blood. My fingers are throbbing. Never again.
Mandi W.

I will never step foot in this nail salon again. I am here for work and needed my nails fixed, so I figured I'd go ahead and just get them done here. Well, I went from having very cute coffin-shaped nails to this pointy, square, I just don't know what to call this $45 mess that makes my nails look as though they're too small for my fingers. The girl who did them was SO rough, she kept burning me with the friction from the nail files, then she made 7 of my fingers bleed! 10 hours later, my fingers are still throbbing. They're not sanitary in any way, either. I'm hoping I don't end up with some kind of infection from it. Then, the girl doing my nails just sat and spoke Vietnamese the whole time with a girl who wasn't working there. Not good. Terrible.

Cracking skin from alcohol soak

I visited this nail salon on 7/13/23 for pedicure and remove SNS on nails and replace with gel for my honeymoon. I was told MULTIPLE times I was being upcharged $15 to remove SNS. Ok I get it. The entire length of my pedicure my hands were accidentally soaked in a bowl of ALCOHOL instead of ACETONE. My hands were completely ruined for my honeymoon as they cracked and peeled the entire time. I told the lady who checked me out what happened and she decided she would give me a discount of $5 off the $15 for SNS removal upcharge. So I still paid to have my hands ruined by alcohol. Also, a 5th grader could have painted my toes better than they were done here. My gel nails chipped after a few days. DO NOT GO HERE! I understand people make mistakes but at some point businesses need to make it right. I will be finding a new salon after this experience.

This is my fifth visit. I highly recommend the collagen treatment pedicure! $40 includes callus treatment, sugar scrub, cooling mask, collagen socks, hot oil treatment, hot towel and light leg massage. Ah-mazing!

Here are my nails from today. Even though my nails were very nasty, they now look stunning.

It doesn't matter how your nails look like when you walk in, when you walk out you're going to get compliments on how elegant and beautiful your nails look. They have a huge variety of colors to choose from which is great because I'm kind of picky. Their massage chairs are very nice too. I always see Diane and she does the best job ever. She always makes my nails look their very best, and she is very nice too. I've seen her for literally years and she's always done a great job. And of course they do a great job of making sure you're not going to get covid here. They check the temperature of everyone, and you can actually see people wiping down and spraying everything.

Ombré dip nail

My experience here was great! When the polish I chose was too light my pedicurist let me choose something different and repainted them, and she did a great job with my difficult ombré dip nail request! They were quick and efficient.

This place was great! They had really strict COVID-19 rules and made you wear a mask and wash your hands, which I really appreciate. I got acrylics with Winne and she was really nice and funny, and did a great job.

I travel here a lot for business, so I decided to try this salon since it's so close to the Aloft. All I needed was a gel polish change on my toes and it was just OK. They got me right in, and were pretty quick, however the polish job was sub par. Some of my toes have polish up onto the cuticles, while others don't have polish near the corners at all.

Thought I'd give this place a try. Definitely not the best which I was surprised because the wait was so long. It looks like I already have grow out, some nails are very misshaped and lumpy. Disappointed in the experience.

Too rough with cuticles.. were bleeding afterwards.

I have mixed feelings about this place... on the one hand, the actual manicure and pedicure I received was pretty well done. The polish was even and neat. They also had a big selection of OPI colors that was really well organized. The location was also great.. about 5 mins from my apartment. Now onto the cons: It was really expensive. $68 not including tip for a regular spa pedicure and gel manicure. Is this typical pricing for nails in NC? I came from California where I could get the same for around $50-55. So perhaps that's not a con, but just a lack of experience on my part. I'm not sure... They also said a gel polish change was the same price as an entire manicure. Really?? Also the technician, while nice, kept interrupting service to go check out customers and such. So a mani/pedi took about 2.5 hours. Is this normal??? Again, in CA, almost all nail salons will have a separate person doing your manicure while you're also having a pedicure. They will also have a person to run the register. So everything is finished within 1-1.5 hours. I've never had nails take longer than that regardless of whether I was getting special designs done, or a more involved pedi with massage/scrub, etc. So the service here was crazy slow. Again, maybe just a regional difference, but I really did not anticipate spending my entire afternoon here. Finally, my cuticles on my hand were done a bit roughly (see picture below). My finger was bleeding afterwards. Also the skin on the side of my big toe was scraped off with a pumice stone during my pedi. I didn't notice until I had returned home and changed shoes and looked down cuz my toe was hurting. Cons are really outweighing the pros at this point.. Not sure if I will be back.

They didn't do extendo nails so there shouldn't have been an extra charge . It was just a fill in

Do not come here. They are unorganized and racist. My nails were thin and broke 2 days later. I got medium sized nails and they charged me an extra 5 for the "length". They also wouldn't fix my nail that broke and couldn't tell me how much it was to fix it. Do not waste your money. My massage chair was broken and a total of 5 people touched my hands and feet because they obviously have favorite clients.

I enjoy coming to this salon, it's very clean and everyone is always so nice and helpful. They have plenty of nail colors including a wide variety of gels. I generally went with OPI because it was easy to match the gel OPI on my nails to my toes (because I'm that chick lol, matching is essential) lol. They also have at least 10 different pedicures to choose from with optional herbs and scrubs to meet individual needs. I've never had a poor pedicure here, they've all been enjoyable. I think the hot stone is one of my favorites. I wear my nails natural so I can't speak on full sets or fill-ins. I have also always been pleased with my manicures except once. My nails were not filed to my liking and were cut too short... that time it was done by the man while every other time it was a woman (I don't have a regular person, they are well staffed so I generally take whoever is available without incident). The man however, did an awesome pedicure so maybe he's better at those over manicures, *shrug*. The prices are reasonable, I would just ask ahead your total for everything to avoid sticker shock for any potential add ons. I've also had my eyebrows waxed here a few times and was pleased. I've never felt rushed even when I'm the last and only one in the salon. The thing that keeps me from giving them a 5 star (outside of that one manicure) is that they do not do have dip powder and lack the ability/experience to do the trendy/gaudy designs I like. Once again, I understand it's about demographics etc and maybe that type of thing is not in high demand in Chapel Hill but being 10 minutes from UNC it seems as if the demand would be there. Oh well, my one grouse. I like this place and would return if for some reason I didn't go to my now regular salon (that does dip powder).

Tiffany J.

Nice environment and professional staff. Will go back again if in the area. *Beware of their extra charges on top of your service for nail trim, gel removal and other items typically included with a service.

A couple months ago, I made an appointment through their website during business hours. When I came at the appointed time, the door was locked. I called and someone picked up and told me she was sick and to make an appointment for a different day, even though my initial appointment had been placed and I had gotten a confirmation text. I didn't even get a discount for coming on a different day after driving to their shop initially, and finding them closed during business hours and with a scheduled appointment. This week, I received a birthday text to get $10 off my next visit. I had gotten my nails done a week ago and they were already chipped but I figured I would just come get them done again instead of asking for them to be redone, since there was a decent discount. The same person who had done my nails last week, which chipped, did my nails this time. The job was rushed and I had to ask my nail person to clean up the edges before leaving because he wanted to send me out with paint still on my skin around the nails on both hands. This poor service was already concerning. When I got to the cash register I showed them the $10 off text and they told me it was only for certain services so they wouldn't give me the discount, even though none of that was stated in the text. I asked them if they would send out these stipulations with their texts in the future because otherwise it's misleading. They told me no. I still paid them and tipped decently even though I honestly felt like giving them no tip with how bad the service was. This was more a reflection of me trying to bring my own emotions under control and be a better person, than any reflection of their service which was very poor. But I no longer plan to come to them in the future. The problem isn't just the service...it's the refusal to improve communication even after I've spoken with them about it and given them multiple chances to improve. Update: it's been less than 24 hours and my nails are already chipped again. The excuse is that it's regular polish. I've had my nails done with regular polish by other nail salons and it lasts more than a day. Making excuses for poor work and doing nothing to improve, is unacceptable in my opinion.

Sooo, I'm reviewing my experience for my nail tech, KIM. I should start by saying that Kim has been amazing! I wanted to wait to write a review because with nails you want to make sure they don't chip, break, etc. I have been here now 3X's, all my appointments have been with Kim, and my nails have never looked better. She is patient and a perfectionist, where other nail techs are rushing to get you in and out, she takes her time to make sure the job is done correctly. I get dip mani, and usually a regular pedicure. I request her to do both. They last a long time with no breaks, chips, snags, etc. I will say that the prices have gone up. This last time I went I ended up paying more than the previous times and I did not even get a color on my feet. Just a regular pedicure and a dip mani. Not sure if it's a holiday thing, or what, but will need to pay more attention next time. Cute place, clean, and busy. Make an appointment, especially now during the holidays.

I'm back with another review of this salon! I love this place…read more After a year of coming here I have had my nails done by many of the different nail techs and each time I have been impressed by how much they seem to care about the job they are doing. With that said, there are varying levels of skill at this salon. Just like you would find at any salon. You can pick a specific nail tech of your choosing if you prefer. Cynthia, the owner, is wonderful. It's not easy to run this sort of business but she does a great job and genuinely cares about the customers and her employees. About two minutes later, a woman walks in and thanks her for squeezing in an appointment. Wow. She tells me to go speak to the manager. He asks can I wait because there are three other people ahead of me, I said no I really couldn't and that's why I made an appointment. Very, very disappointing experience. Why let me check in for my appointment but then don't service me? Why was another woman with an appointment serviced before me?
