Well, after going to Paris Nail Bar, I can say I think I've found my place. My friend and I scheduled pedicures on a Saturday afternoon, and I LOVE that you can schedule online. They have an extensive color collection, and offer a wide array of services. I leveled up and got the herbal infused pedicure, and honestly, it was the most luxurious experience I have had in a long time. I feel like so many places are like an assembly line these days, but I truly felt pampered! The staff was incredibly kind, easy to communicate with, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy with our services. I had Chrystal who gave an incredible massage and I had a lovely time chatting with. Wow! I have never given a nail salon a 5 star rating! Well, New Year, new adventures. Wanting to go with my daughter, we settled on Paris Nail Bar. I like how they had music playing (not loudly) and you could also hear the television, if you were concentrating on it. Our appointment time was honored immediately upon arrival. The salon was quiet and clean. I didn't miss the usual smell associated with acrylic nails, although they were being done on two customers in the salon. The foot bath and massage was 5/5. The manicure was 5/5. They did things like applying scrub to your feet and hands along with the hot towels. These are traits that I have missed out on at my regular salon. That said, I will have to check out other salons in my area. Paris has re-set the standard and I want it every time I get my nails done. They offer paid alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Water is free. They also have a menu for services. You'll want to review it before you begin. Whenever I am in Durham, I will definitely re turn to Paris Nail Bar. Well done! read more

I had been to Paris Nail Bar and they claim they do the service on pamphlet for 1 hour 15 min and the technician was in hurry to switch to next client. She served less than 1 hour. Her name was Helen. When I raised a concern it was overlooked and next time they cancelled my appointment at the last minute. I would recommend people to avoid such places who do not improve with the services with customer but cancel the appointments. read more

I loved going here until I did not. I got my nails done here multiple times and loved them and even recommended the place to my friends, but I went yesterday and I was greatly disappointed. I currently have all my finger nails in band aids bc Su who did my nails went to far off my nail with the nail drill and tore up all my skin. Ended up at Paris nail bar due to the glowing reviews and while I think it's fine and they did a decent job, I don't see this becoming my new salon. The pedicure station is a bank wall and then there are mani stations directly in front of you (see pics). Someone else mentioned this, but if you are as tall as I am (5'11) this is quite uncomfortable. I splurged and got the champagne pedi, which tbh, not sure what was very different from a regular pedi. More attention was paid to my calves than feet, and while I do appreciate a good message, I did specifically request the callus treatment and it wasn't anything more than a bootie with lotion in it. They cut down my nails, but spent very little time making sure there were no ingrown nails and didn't barely buff my calluses at all. I do a better job in the shower. I've been here many times in the last few months but never again. I saw one tech the first time about two months ago and she was very rough with the dremel but figured maybe she just was having an off day. I told her it burned and she only mildly eased up. My nails were not shaped well and she did not take the feedback I was asking for in the appointment but I didn't feel that addressing it further would help. WELL. I came in Saturday for my normal appointment and it was a nightmare. The tech was so rough with the dremel that she broke through my nail to bed, causing huge pain, and bleeding. She then filed my cuticles again till I bled. She dumped acetone on my bleeding nails and kept going. She then did not bother to file or shape the dip powder she put on so my nails had large bumps in them. After putting the top coat on she tapped them to see if they were dry, they weren't, and she did not smooth out the top coat she messed up. It was painful, bloody, and frankly ugly. When leaving I told the young man at the counter that I was unhappy, in pain, and wanted this to be fixed with someone else two days later. He assured me I'd not have to pay for a new set and I'd be seeing someone else.....I came in for my second appointment and was directed back to the woman that severely damaged my nails and cut my fingers on 6 spots. She asked how short I want them when I sat down, after being promised I could have them soaked off and re-done by someone else. I said it was fine and I was leaving and numerous staff members tried to reason with me saying they wanted to make it right, which I appreciate, but the time to make it right would have been when I came back and not sitting me with the person that quite literally drilled through my nail down to the bed then cutting up all around the edges of the nails. My nails for the wedding are ruined, my nails are so damaged I won't be able to get my nails done for months, and I'm filing a formal complaint. read more

I went here once, and will not be going back. First the positives: the staff were very friendly, and they had a wide selection of nail colors. It's a bigger salon, and they offer drinks when you come in. I tried them for the first time with a friend and did standard manicures with polish. Both of our colors began to chip 3 days after and most of the nailpolish was gone 1 week out. At first, I thought it may have been that I had an additional glitter coat on the top, but my friend who did not had the same chipping problem. Worst experience I have ever had for any sort of service. Please do not go here if you want to be treated reasonably. Terrible atmosphere--to begin I was given dirty towels to dry my hands with (smelled musty and bacteria-ridden). I payed for a full manicure with dip change, $55, $65 with a 20% tip. Not only did I not receive a full manicure service, the technician I was assigned to treated me incredibly rudely--previously I had blue with green only on my ring finger--she decided to do just blue at her own accord and told me "one color only looks much better". She did not clean up the blue dip which was stuck on my cuticles, rushing me out because the next customer was waiting for her service. So rude--she quite literally picked up my bag which was still in the seat, placed the next customer down, and tossed my bag at me with no words, simply implying that I was done. She also claimed their dip would last a month, yet a nail chipped after 5 days, as seen in the picture, with more and more chipping each day following. These nails did not even last a week. I called expressing my problem and the lady on the phone communicated w/o the whole picture, getting me to drive all the way back to the salon for a service which I learned would only be 15% discounted. I got the base package for both, but there was nothing basic about it. Andy had amazing attention to detail and there's not one thing wrong with my nails. I had a strange experience after getting a gel manicure. The nails all chipped after a day or two, and when I went back to fix them, the manicurist redid them hastily, and they chipped again! I made a reservation online to have them repaired, and the same manicurist confronted me and seemed angry that I had come back. Unclear why a "nail repair" is an option online if staff becomes irritated when customers select it. I originally came in around 6:for a Full Set and Pedicure. I left out with just a pedicure; my first experience was horrible. My feet sat in a blue tub of merely warm water the entire time. The first thing I said when I sat down was "whew, this water is cold. In addition, the lady didn't even turn the jets on in the water. As my service continued, the lady performing my pedicure began cutting my cuticles. I advised her multiple times that she was cutting them down too far and it was painful. It only took me 4 times complaining before she stopped. So I finally got tired of the subpar service and decided not to get my nails done. I definitely will NOT return to this establishment. I really like how cool and reserved the atmosphere is in Paris. They are the first ( for me) that gives you a loyalty card spend 35$ 10 visits and then receive a gift card. It took 20 minutes to cut my toenails... on one foot...because the person used a cuticle clipper instead of a regular nail clipper.
