Came on a Saturday evening around 515 pm-ish before the dinner rush came in. We got to choose where we sat and we picked the chairs with more cushions against the window area. As cute as it looked it wasn't ideal because I'm 5'1" and when I sat down in the chair I sunk to where my neck was almost table level. STARTERS AND SALAD: Eggplant with Greek yogurt and chimichurri sauce was delicious. Great flavor and great way to cook an eggplant. Highly recommend MAIN: Rice bowl with ribeye and shitake mushroom - the highlight was the shitake mushroom and the main reason why I got this dish. Ribeye was okay. Let's talk about the rice...not sure what was going on with the rice but it was under cooked. Because of that we didn't order the Poké bowls the second time we ordered more food. Salmon steak with puttanesca sauce - was actually pretty good. I do recommend this dish. Mussles in cream sauce with french fries - by far my favorite dish. The mussels are on the tinier side but the sauce was great with it. Kind of wish I had some bread to soak up all the sauce and eat it because the french fries weren't soaking it up. DRINKS: No. 7 which is their espresso martini and it was delicious. I needed a little alcoholic pick me up. Haha When we ordered more it was getting busier and took a lot longer to get our food than it did when we initially ordered. I had to leave to relieve my brother in law from watching their 2 kids and my 11 month old, plus it was getting to his bedtime. My sister and her friends stuck around. From what I heard later one of the girls went to ask about the food. They eventually brought out the food but did not charge them for it and compted other food along with a complimentary drink coupons for their next visit. Before I left we had waited 30 minutes and not sure how much longer they had to wait. I appreciate the fact that they acknowledged the wait and took it upon themselves to make it up to us. We didn't complain other than my friend going to go check on how long it would be for the food. Great ambiance and great customer service. read more

Rose Gose (pronounced as Rose-ay Goes-ay) We loved Rose Gose so much that we came the next today as well. I found Rose Gose very last minute and changed my birthday brunch reservation from another restaurant to here immediately. The aesthetics and menu caught my eye, and I have to say, we were not disappointed. They also recently just opened, so please give them some leeway if the food and drinks take a while to come out. We were waiting for some time, but every new establishment has to find their groove. The food came out fresh and delicious, so waiting and chatting is not a big deal to me. My friends and I ordered tea (oolong), matcha lemonade, salmon hash browns, and eggs benedict. We LOVED the tea, and our waitress was kind enough to continue refilling and replenishing the tea bags. The salmon hash browns were so delicious -- I didn't order this, but I love hash browns so much that I ordered a side of it. I thoroughly enjoyed my salmon eggs benedict. I love how they use brioche bread instead of a biscuit. The one thing I will say is that their Hollandaise sauce is not made super well--it was very clumpy and far too buttery, but the flavor and taste was still on point. The portion sizes are really decent because we all got super full off of our entrees. I ordered a matcha lemonde, but it was a bit too bitter for my taste. My friend, however, loved it and she took it home with her. The next day, we came for dinner and cocktails. The dinner menu isn't as appealing as the breakfast menu, but regardless, we ordered a bunch of appetizers and cocktails. Their cocktails are definitely not very strong, but they taste great. We got the #3, #6, and #7. I personally didn't like the #7 as much (their take on an espresso martini) because the black currant added too much sweetness to what is otherwise a traditionally bitter coffee cocktail, but my friend loved it. #3 and #6 were awesome. Both tasted like juice. If you're looking for more traditional cocktails with a stronger kick, this is not your place. I had a really nice experience here. The aesthetics and decor of the restaurant are so pretty, and I've definitely found a new brunch place to frequent. There's lots of parking, and the staff is SO kind. Please support them and come give Rose Gose a try! read more

Food was good (I enjoyed the tartar benedict!) - but ice tea was $8! Yes - $8! Service was friendly. Was rather empty on a Sunday for brunch, but it worked for us. Don't think I'll return unless they can sort their beverage prices out. read more

Definitely a spot for cocktails and conversation. Intimate indoors. Nice enclosed patio to extend dining space. Appetizers I had were solid. I'll explore more of the dining menu, but I think this place is about the cocktail program. A great +1 spot. I'll be back. read more

I've wanted to visit for a while after hearing some reviews from friends, so my friend and I stopped in on a rainy Saturday morning for brunch! I heard their cocktails were creative and aesthetic (as is the seating and tables, etc.), but we didn't actually order any drinks. We did have a reservation, but due to the rain it was pretty empty so it didn't really seem necessary. OVERVIEW: I'd give it a 3-3.5/5. The food was good, but nothing stood out to me that would make me want to revisit. The menu has unique combinations of food, but nothing unique in the broader picture of brunch across Austin. Fortunately the service I have no complaints on (after reading other reviews, it seems they can be hit or miss) - we were seated immediately and allowed to choose where we wanted to sit since it was pretty empty, and we ordered quickly and our food came out and our server was pretty attentive. FOOD RATINGS: - Salmon hash brown bowl (3/5): This is exactly what it sounds like. You get 3 hash brown patties with some smoked salmon and hollandaise on top with a poached egg. I don't think it's worth $16. Other than the hollandaise sauce and the poached egg...not a lot goes into the making of this bowl. - French toast (5/5): This was pretty good! And worth $8. A thick, buttery, rich piece of brioche topped with vanilla "ice cream" and strawberries. Great flavor without being overwhelmingly sweet. read more

I really love this place. I'm so impressed with the food every time I visit. The menu is creative but approachable and delicious. I've been a couple times and the menu is similar but a couple things change up each time which is nice. I love the wine "store" selection and the prices are fantastic for a bottle at a restaurant in Austin. The cocktails are also well made and so beautiful. The staff is so accomodating and helpful with menu suggestions. I can't wait to go back. read more

This place was awesome!! We ordered the rice bowl with ribeye and shiitake and it was great! Good amount of protein, carbs and veggies, we both finished the entire plate. We also sat outside and it was kinda cool and the waitress gave us some blankets which we thought it was very considerate and well thought. Will def come back to try other dishes. It is very close to the airport as well! read more

Uniqie Belarusian restaurant with great cocktails, friendly staff, and fantastic pan-European food at a very reasonable price. This is instantly one of my favorite restaurants in north Austin. This spot was frankly a pleasant surprise. I didn't know what to expect given the north Airport Rd. location but they've done a great job making it feel like an oasis. They make their own pasta and have an array of appetizers and entrees. Really well done. We'll be back! read more

I've visited here a few times and it feels very much like a little piece of Europe right here in Austin. The menu items change and so there's been different offerings each time I've visited. I've had a variety of starters and my favorites are the simple dish of green olives with kimchi, and the baked camembert cheese with peaches. I love seafood and have enjoyed their savory mussels and fresh tasting oysters on the half shell. I think the only dish I've had here that I didn't love was the pesto gnocchi, which lacked flavor and the pasta texture was somewhat gummy. I adore their creative and well crafted cocktails! My favorites are the Gin Yuzu Melon and the Jim Beam Honey Roobios (weird that whiskey and tea actually pair together beautifully!). read more

Food: 4.75 / 5 - It's small but their mozzarella sticks could improve. Highlights for us were the ribeye steak and each of our salmon plates. Highly recommend the rice croquette! NEW ATX DOG-FRIENDLY PATIO ALERT! Rosé Gosé: Austin, TX Rose Gose is the newest addition to Austin's culinary scene, and it's quickly becoming a favorite among locals. The restaurant offers a unique dining experience, with a menu that features deliciously unique cocktails, raw bar, and high-quality dishes that won't break the bank. The drinks and food are soooo good and the price is just right so this place has become my and my boyfriend's favorite place (we came here three times this week) and the pavlova here is honestly to die for! I've never had pavlova before but it easily became one of my most favorite desserts thanks to Rose Gose! Everyone here is so kind and hospitable to us especially Hillary, who has been our server twice and she has always provided us with the best service. It can get busy at times but the wait is always worth it. What we tried so far: [Weekend breakfast menu] - Chef's special (potato croquettes with salmon) - The italian breakfast plate - The french breakfast plate All were super good but I prefer the italian one because of the diversity and the delicious bread and butter. The first few bites of the potato croquettes were yum but the creaminess can be overwhelming after a while so it's better to share it with your party. The french one was alright. It's been a few weeks since I had it so I don't remember how it was. [Dinner menu] - Classic Beef Tartare - Rice croquettes - Pavlova - Mussels in cream sauce with fries - Rice bowl with ribeye Beef tartare was sooo good and the portion was bigger than what I'd normally see in other restaurants. Rice croquettes were crunchy and I liked the flavor. It had a citrusy taste to it so it was super interesting. The pavlova IS ONE OF THE BEST THINGS that have ever happened in my life. I can't believe I've never had it before. The lime sorbet, the coconut cream, the candied orange, the pavlova, and the grapefruit all did something nice to the taste buds. It's amazing. I ended up trying to make it at home but it's not the same. Mussels are yum too but beware of the small pieces of shells. I bit into one or two while eating the mussels but it didn't ruin the experience. The cream made it taste heavenly. The rice bowl was okay. I only had one bite of it so I can't say much because it was my boyfriend's. [Regular Week day Lunch Menu] - Rice bowl with chicken - Pasta with Salmon - Pavlova (the same as the above) OMG the rice bowl was AMAZING. I highly recommend this when you see it on the menu. The broccoli was honestly the best broccoli I ever had in my entire life and the chicken was flavored deliciously. It had sushi rice and seaweed salad and those made the bowl delicious too. I really want to come back on a weekday just for this. The pasta with salmon was yummy too. It was light and not too overwhelming like in other places. I do wish they could add the broccoli to the dish... You really can't sleep on the broccoli here. As for drinks, anything with yuzu, grapefruit, and roses were my favorites. It's deliciously sweet and refreshing. It was difficult to savor them because I kept taking sips every 3 seconds. read more

We ended up coming here for Christmas, on a whim, following a long drive back to Austin from El Paso. Excellent food, everyone was friendly, no fuss or shenanigans, cute space, reasonably priced - I think this will become a regular go-to for us! And props to Jess (I think that is her name?) the bartender who was super sweet and on top of her game. We shared the kimchi olives and the eggplant (wonderfully smoky!). I had steak tartare (would have been a little better with bread, but honestly didn't mind forking it) and husband had octopus. For dessert, my pavlova was exceptional - I was skeptical but really loved it. Great flavors, nice and light, all perfectly balanced. The candied orange peel was delightful. Husband got the pistachio tiramisu and not a morsel remained. We can't wait to return and try more here! Thanks for a fabulous evening!! read more

We decided to give the newest version of this restaurant location a try and were rewarded on so many levels. The staff is comprised of a mixture of Ukrainian and Belarusian expatriates and the menu and hospitality reflect that. We were welcomed and seated promptly and given our menus. The space has been completely transformed into a more European backdrop and is beautiful. We ordered our drinks first, and they were unbelievably delicious. My martini was perfect and the cherry infused vodka shots were incredible. For our meal, we had one of the most delicious burrata dishes ever. The cheese was creamy and had the perfect texture and was accompanied by a beautifully sliced avocado lightly topped with sea salt, sweet cherry tomatoes in a delicious sauce . The classic beef tartare was delicious despite being a little chewy, but the star of the meal was the delicious toasted sourdough bread that came with the dishes. There was a wide variety of other people enjoying their evening, and we most certainly did as well. We're looking forward to returning to this neighborhood gem. Thanks to everyone for sharing their beautiful culture with us and especially to our servers Anastasia, Valeria and Genesis for guiding us through a spectacular evening. If you want to experience the hospitality, generosity and culture of Eastern Europe, this is the place, and we're grateful for getting to enjoy it all. read more

Rose Gose's brunch menu is delicious and imaginative. My husband and I shared a platter with a croissant, lox, poached egg, salad, and a variety of cheeses. Made reservations for Mother's Day for 2 pm because I thought brunch went until 3 or 4 which I saw on their instagram page but they told us that brunch stopped at 2 which was a bit frustrating to start. Let me just begin by saying, as a vegetarian, this is not the place you want to go. I was attracted to the place for the ambient interior and cute cocktails, but there is absolutely nothing on the main menu for vegetarians. Of course, at this point we couldn't order brunch which was frustrating as well which did have a couple of options for us. The cheese board: comes with a few different cheeses which were good, and some breadsticks... definitely not what I expected. This plate needs crackers or some kind of bruschetta slices or bread included, not worth the price. Roasted pumpkin: it wasn't pumpkin... it was some sort of squash I think. It was just fine, goat cheese on top was a nice touch. They were able to make us a vegetarian version of the "poke bowl" with falafel: it was just fine. Rice and toppings. My mom got the #1 cocktail, which they advertise on their instagram to have a little ornament they light on fire - they did not do that for us, it just came plain in a tall glass. Maybe their non-veg dishes are worth it, and maybe you would go for the aesthetic, but not worth it for vegetarians is the bottom line. read more

Interior was modern, elegant, yet simple. Came for happy hour mid week and was surprised that it wasn't full. We almost had the restaurant to ourselves which I was shocked by given our experience. Food was delicious. Highlights were the chicken pate with seasonal berries, the beef tartare with truffle mousse, smoked salmon rillets, and the homemade pasta carbonara. We got the poke based on internet recommendations but thought it was a tad salty. True highlight was the cocktails. Would highly highly recommend no. 6, the drink with melon and yuzu. We will definitely be back. read more

Ok I think I found my new fav restaurant??! The atmosphere is super cute and perfect for date night or a casual dinner. It's a smaller space that fills up fast and seating is somewhat close but I didn't feel cramped. Food was excellent - we chose salmon poke, burrata, and mussels with fries. I love how fresh the food tastes. Lightly seasoned and refreshing the burrata was great esp in summer. The mussels were tasty with the crisp fries in a nice cream sauce. Rose Gose is one of my favorite restaurants in Austin! I've had guests come from San Francisco and abroad, and they have all raved about how great the food is. I'm really not sure how to rate Rosé Gosé - the experience was good but kind of odd? I came for brunch on the weekend. Dining here feels like dining in a different country (I think it's the owners from the Russian house, so this makes sense) where the norms are just a little noticeably different. The chair setup is interesting - our table of four had two normal dining chairs and two super low lounge-style chairs. I felt like I was sitting on the floor. Our server was nice, he took our order down on his phone which was interesting. We started with coffees and a Bloody Mary (which he wasn't sure the bar would make because it wasn't on the cocktail menu). Turns out the bar was fine with it and it was actually very good. I ordered a plain iced latte, no sugar or flavoring. It definitely still had sugar in it, not sure why or from what. The menu is very small and you can either order toasts/benedicts with avocado, salmon, tartare, or some combo of avocado + protein, or one of a few "plates". The plates are larger and more expensive, and with a bunch of components - Kind of like riffs on a full English breakfast. I wish you could add bacon or another standard American protein, mine was vegetarian. It came with a full half avocado with some truffle Mayo inside, 3 falafel balls with labneh, hummus, 2 poached eggs, a salad, and 3 picked cauliflower. I was kind of confused about how to eat it (no carb to put these items on or anything) but honestly some components were pretty good. The falafel were delicious and the eggs were perfectly poached. The salad was overdressed and I'm not sure what I was supposed to do with the avocado. Service remained interesting - My sister ordered a cocktail with her coffee and he said it would bring it after the coffee, then he waited for her to drink the entire coffee, which took the whole meal, and never brought the cocktail. He asked at the very end if she still wanted it but by then it was time to go. We also ordered a French toast for the table when we ordered our main plates and he cleared our entire main course and reset the table to bring the French toast after we finished our meals. Would've preferred to have it before or at the same time. That being said, the French toast was INCREDIBLE. Definitely order it. It is super fluffy and custardy and comes with fresh berries and ice cream. After our plates were cleared we lost our server for about 30 minutes. We had to flag him down to get us our bill. Overall this meal ended up taking two hours from start to finish. Like I said, not sure how to feel here. Everyone was friendly and the space was cute, most of the stuff was good, but it feels a little odd. Maybe I would try again during happy hour before fully deciding if I wanted to go back or not. read more

Such a nice and cozy space! Decided to try this place out for a Friday night dinner and my group had an all around positive experience. Overall, the staff is kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. Our server tended our table well and gave us great recommendations on what to try. The desserts here are a hidden gem (I definitely need to return just for that alone)! -------------------------------------------------- Cocktails: They have a nice selection of cocktails to choose from. We tried the No. 1, 3, 5, 9, and 11 cocktails. They all had a beautiful presentation and tasted great. The sweetest of the batch was No. 5. The strongest, both in alcohol and flavor, was the No. 9. The prettiest, although a little awkward to drink, was No. 3!‍ Appetizers: We had the Roasted Pumpkin with Goat Cheese and Honey + the Mozzarella Sticks. The chunky marinara that was served with the mozzarella sticks elevated what is otherwise a simple appetizer. Food: We were informed by the server that they had several new items on the menu. Our table gravitated towards the Homemade Carbonara Pasta and Mussels in Cream. No complains, everything tasted great and the portion size was perfect! A heads up, the noodles that were served were almost black in color (I'm assuming squid ink was used, but can't confirm). Dessert: The Coconut Mousse was light, airy, and had such a great texture. There's some matcha cookies mixed in as well as a fruit/jelly that tasted just like mango (could very well be that, but can't confirm). We also tried the Chocolate Fondant with Ice Cream. This was recommended by our server and was by far the most delicious thing we had. It's a fudgey and warm cake that has a rich chocolate flavor. Would highly recommend the desserts here! read more

Terrible service. I usually don't care about service as long as the food is good but I didn't even get to have any food!! Upon entering, it took quite some time for the staff to even acknowledge us. It took over 5 minutes for menus to be brought to us after being seated, 20 minutes for the waitress to come back and get our orders, another 20 to get my drink (literally just a brewed tea with nothing special), and finally, after almost an hour with no food in sight, we checked with the waitress and she said another 5 minutes. We gave them 10 minutes and there was still no food (are we surprised? no.) so we told the owner/manager and left. Also the restaurant was like 70% full so it's not like they were abhorrently busy. read more

Went with a group on a weekday evening, it was fairly quiet, first time there. Their menu looked pretty good with a nice selection of fresh options at good prices, and decent drinks as well. There's some slight oddities about the furniture (mismatched chair sizes and styles) but otherwise it's a really nice and thought out place, modern and chic. Our waitress was under 21 so wasn't familiar with the drinks but they had a full bar and we tried a few of their cocktails, which were pretty good (although their dry martini was a bit odd and sweet). We got a couple of oysters since they were only $2 a piece; it took quite a long time for them to bring them out but they were really good, irregular sizes but clean and fresh, with a couple of different sauces to pick from. The staff were all really nice and everything we had was really good; I think because they're relatively new they're still working out some kinks in service but would be happy to go again and try more of their food read more

Let me first say the food was outstanding, it was! The drinks, also fantastic. But the service was SO bad, and I mean SO bad, that we almost left before ordering our main dishes. We made a reservation for an early dinner, and right off the bat I knew something wasn't right. We were seated next to the door at this extremely awkward table, which was far too high for the chairs, and at 5'3" I was able to rest my chin on the table. So that was bizarre, but I digress. We came for HH, but after 15 minutes of waiting for our server to reappear, it was over. There was no greeting, no questions, no conversation, nothing. We ordered our drinks, and the mozzarella sticks. They were good, don't get me wrong, but I was hoping for something 'extra' maybe in the sauce, something unique? We went with the mussels and fries, and the seafood pasta. Both were outstanding, the mussels were gigantic, and very fresh! The menu definitely embodied pan-European food, with some Americana mixed in, and the cocktails were inventive and unique. We ate everything no problem, and would have ordered more drinks, but getting them was quite a process, and once our bill was physically dropped on the table, and the server walked away without a word, we decided it was time to move on. read more
