I've visited here a few times and it feels very much like a little piece of Europe right here in Austin. The menu items change and so there's been different offerings each time I've visited. I've had a variety of starters and my favorites are the simple dish of green olives with kimchi, and the baked camembert cheese with peaches. I love seafood and have enjoyed their savory mussels and fresh tasting oysters on the half shell. I think the only dish I've had here that I didn't love was the pesto gnocchi, which lacked flavor and the pasta texture was somewhat gummy. I adore their creative and well crafted cocktails! Interior was modern, elegant, yet simple. Came for happy hour mid week and was surprised that it wasn't full. We almost had the restaurant to ourselves which I was shocked by given our experience. Food was delicious. Highlights were the chicken pate with seasonal berries, the beef tartare with truffle mousse, smoked salmon rillets, and the homemade pasta carbonara. We decided to give the newest version of this restaurant location a try and were rewarded on so many levels. The staff is comprised of a mixture of Ukrainian and Belarusian expatriates and the menu and hospitality reflect that. We were welcomed and seated promptly and given our menus. The space has been completely transformed into a more European backdrop and is beautiful. We ordered our drinks first, and they were unbelievably delicious. My martini was perfect and the cherry infused vodka shots were incredible. For our meal, we had one of the most delicious burrata dishes ever. The cheese was creamy and had the perfect texture and was accompanied by a beautifully sliced avocado lightly topped with sea salt, sweet cherry tomatoes in a delicious sauce . The classic beef tartare was delicious despite being a little chewy, but the star of the meal was the delicious toasted sourdough bread that came with the dishes. There was a wide variety of other people enjoying their evening, and we most certainly did as well. We're looking forward to returning to this neighborhood gem. The drinks and food are soooo good and the price is just right so this place has become my and my boyfriend's favorite place (we came here three times this week) and the pavlova here is honestly to die for! I've never had pavlova before but it easily became one of my most favorite desserts thanks to Rose Gose! Everyone here is so kind and hospitable to us especially Hillary, who has been our server twice and she has always provided us with the best service. It can get busy at times but the wait is always worth it. What we tried so far: [Weekend breakfast menu] - Chef's special (potato croquettes with salmon) - The italian breakfast plate - The french breakfast plate All were super good but I prefer the italian one because of the diversity and the delicious bread and butter. The first few bites of the potato croquettes were yum but the creaminess can be overwhelming after a while so it's better to share it with your party. The french one was alright. It's been a few weeks since I had it so I don't remember how it was. [Dinner menu] - Classic Beef Tartare - Rice croquettes - Pavlova - Mussels in cream sauce with fries - Rice bowl with ribeye Beef tartare was sooo good and the portion was bigger than what I'd normally see in other restaurants. I ended up trying to make it at home but it's not the same. Mussels are yum too but beware of the small pieces of shells. I bit into one or two while eating the mussels but it didn't ruin the experience. The cream made it taste heavenly. The rice bowl was okay. I only had one bite of it so I can't say much because it was my boyfriend's. [Regular Week day Lunch Menu] - Rice bowl with chicken - Pasta with Salmon - Pavlova (the same as the above) OMG the rice bowl was AMAZING. I highly recommend this when you see it on the menu. Terrible service. I usually don't care about service as long as the food is good but I didn't even get to have any food!! Upon entering, it took quite some time for the staff to even acknowledge us. It took over 5 minutes for menus to be brought to us after being seated, 20 minutes for the waitress to come back and get our orders, another 20 to get my drink (literally just a brewed tea with nothing special), and finally, after almost an hour with no food in sight, we checked with the waitress and she said another 5 minutes. We gave them 10 minutes and there was still no food (are we surprised? no.) so we told the owner/manager and left. Made reservations for Mother's Day for 2 pm because I thought brunch went until 3 or 4 which I saw on their instagram page but they told us that brunch stopped at 2 which was a bit frustrating to start. Let me just begin by saying, as a vegetarian, this is not the place you want to go. I was attracted to the place for the ambient interior and cute cocktails, but there is absolutely nothing on the main menu for vegetarians. Of course, at this point we couldn't order brunch which was frustrating as well which did have a couple of options for us. The cheese board: comes with a few different cheeses which were good, and some breadsticks... definitely not what I expected. This plate needs crackers or some kind of bruschetta slices or bread included, not worth the price. Roasted pumpkin: it wasn't pumpkin... it was some sort of squash I think. It was just fine, goat cheese on top was a nice touch. They were able to make us a vegetarian version of the "poke bowl" with falafel: it was just fine. Rice and toppings. My mom got the #1 cocktail, which they advertise on their instagram to have a little ornament they light on fire - they did not do that for us, it just came plain in a tall glass. I'm really not sure how to rate Rosé Gosé - the experience was good but kind of odd? I came for brunch on the weekend. Dining here feels like dining in a different country (I think it's the owners from the Russian house, so this makes sense) where the norms are just a little noticeably different. The chair setup is interesting - our table of four had two normal dining chairs and two super low lounge-style chairs. I felt like I was sitting on the floor. Our server was nice, he took our order down on his phone which was interesting. We started with coffees and a Bloody Mary (which he wasn't sure the bar would make because it wasn't on the cocktail menu). Turns out the bar was fine with it and it was actually very good. I ordered a plain iced latte, no sugar or flavoring. It definitely still had sugar in it, not sure why or from what. The menu is very small and you can either order toasts/benedicts with avocado, salmon, tartare, or some combo of avocado + protein, or one of a few "plates". The plates are larger and more expensive, and with a bunch of components - Kind of like riffs on a full English breakfast. I wish you could add bacon or another standard American protein, mine was vegetarian. It came with a full half avocado with some truffle Mayo inside, 3 falafel balls with labneh, hummus, 2 poached eggs, a salad, and 3 picked cauliflower. I was kind of confused about how to eat it (no carb to put these items on or anything) but honestly some components were pretty good. The falafel were delicious and the eggs were perfectly poached. The salad was overdressed and I'm not sure what I was supposed to do with the avocado. Service remained interesting - My sister ordered a cocktail with her coffee and he said it would bring it after the coffee, then he waited for her to drink the entire coffee, which took the whole meal, and never brought the cocktail. He asked at the very end if she still wanted it but by then it was time to go. We also ordered a French toast for the table when we ordered our main plates and he cleared our entire main course and reset the table to bring the French toast after we finished our meals. Would've preferred to have it before or at the same time. That being said, the French toast was INCREDIBLE. Definitely order it. It is super fluffy and custardy and comes with fresh berries and ice cream. After our plates were cleared we lost our server for about 30 minutes. We had to flag him down to get us our bill. Overall this meal ended up taking two hours from start to finish. Like I said, not sure how to feel here. Everyone was friendly and the space was cute, most of the stuff was good, but it feels a little odd. Such a nice and cozy space! Decided to try this place out for a Friday night dinner and my group had an all around positive experience. Overall, the staff is kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. Our server tended our table well and gave us great recommendations on what to try. The desserts here are a hidden gem (I definitely need to return just for that alone)! -------------------------------------------------- Cocktails: They have a nice selection of cocktails to choose from. We tried the No. 1, 3, 5, 9, and 11 cocktails. They all had a beautiful presentation and tasted great. The sweetest of the batch was No. 5. The strongest, both in alcohol and flavor, was the No. 9. Our table gravitated towards the Homemade Carbonara Pasta and Mussels in Cream. No complains, everything tasted great and the portion size was perfect! A heads up, the noodles that were served were almost black in color (I'm assuming squid ink was used, but can't confirm). Dessert: The Coconut Mousse was light, airy, and had such a great texture. There's some matcha cookies mixed in as well as a fruit/jelly that tasted just like mango (could very well be that, but can't confirm). We also tried the Chocolate Fondant with Ice Cream. Let me first say the food was outstanding, it was! The drinks, also fantastic. But the service was SO bad, and I mean SO bad, that we almost left before ordering our main dishes. We made a reservation for an early dinner, and right off the bat I knew something wasn't right. We were seated next to the door at this extremely awkward table, which was far too high for the chairs, and at 5'3" I was able to rest my chin on the table. So that was bizarre, but I digress. We came for HH, but after 15 minutes of waiting for our server to reappear, it was over. There was no greeting, no questions, no conversation, nothing. We ordered our drinks, and the mozzarella sticks. They were good, don't get me wrong, but I was hoping for something 'extra' maybe in the sauce, something unique? We went with the mussels and fries, and the seafood pasta. Both were outstanding, the mussels were gigantic, and very fresh! The menu definitely embodied pan-European food, with some Americana mixed in, and the cocktails were inventive and unique. This is a nice quiet place for lunch. The presentation of the food is very beautiful and our server was attentive. We had the smoked salmon rillettes as a starter, which was delicious. We both ordered the salad nicoise, which was a disappointment. The tuna in this was generous and tasty, however, the boiled potatoes were bland, and the hard boiled eggs were very salty and rubbery. The small bit of salad in the middle of the plate had sort of a mayonnaise dressing under it, which was, well mayonnaisey. I would like to eat here again, but try something different. read more

There's some slight oddities about the furniture (mismatched chair sizes and styles) but otherwise it's a really nice and thought out place, modern and chic. Our waitress was under 21 so wasn't familiar with the drinks but they had a full bar and we tried a few of their cocktails, which were pretty good (although their dry martini was a bit odd and sweet). We got a couple of oysters since they were only $2 a piece; it took quite a long time for them to bring them out but they were really good, irregular sizes but clean and fresh, with a couple of different sauces to pick from. A girlfriend and I went here on a Friday evening. We didn't have reservations so we got seated at the bar. First thought was the stools seemed to be counter height and not bar height so you're sitting really low down. Anyways we were handed menus but no one actually asked us what we wanted. So we had to flag down the bartender. We ordered two cocktails, which were good. But then he never came back to take our food order. So we had to flag him down again. We put in an order for an appetizer and two main dishes. Sometime later he brought one of our main dishes. Then we asked about the appetizer and he said they were busy in the kitchen. So then a few minutes later we got the appetizer. But never got the second main. Seems like he forgot. We also had to ask for cutlery because he never brought that either. We really felt like an afterthought. He never asked if we wanted anything else or how we were doing or how the food was. Then since we only had gotten one main I asked for the wine plate which was a charcuterie board. But literally 4 crackers and some chunks of cheese and some olives. Like hard Parmesan blocks. By this time he had cleared our old plates so we again had to ask for cutlery. I was disappointed because I was looking forward to an enjoyable evening out and it was really lackluster. Wow. We actually stumbled in here because Jewboy Burgers nextdoor had a line and we're foodies anyway so the name of the place was enticing. That being said, we were out to try cheeseburgers in 40 degree weather in Austin, so this was a chance encounter where we shared some Avocado toast and a drink while waiting on the line nextdoor to die down. Well--walking in, the patio outside looked beautiful for summer...screened against the sun, pretty atmosphere, wonderful--but in this odd cold stuff, not on our radar. As we came in, we were invited by European delight...smiles, style, accents (at a guess Ukranian but that's just a guess)...either way, indoors had a beautiful vibe as I imagine the patio would have in the summer. I'm a bit split on how to rate this restaurant since I didn't really ate much while I was there. The food I did eat was alright, didn't blew me away or anything but I did only have fries, some bread with burrata. I will say that this place is loud. I don't know if it's because it's open layout or just the crowd that was there that night but it was a bit hard to have a conversation across the table from each other. I will say that the cocktails they have were pretty delicious. I had cocktail #7 which is a really good expresso martini and a blue apple foam cocktail that I forgot which number it is.
