I fully intended to try another new restaurant in the area, but when you feel an unexplained calling, you gotta it--and I'm so glad I did. We had our pup with us and dined outside on Baretto's patio. It was a bit chilly, and our waitress asked if we'd like the heater turned on. Even though we were the only table outside, the gesture was incredibly thoughtful. Barretto's feels like it can be whatever you want it to be: a casual lunch spot, a cozy date night, or even a family outing. The menu blends French and Italian influences, including brick-oven pizzas. IN: Caesar Salad, Moules Frites, and Mushroom Truffle Fettuccine. While all three dishes knocked it out the park, the Mushroom Truffle Fettuccine was the clear VIP. The pasta was unbelievably fresh and tender--some of the best I've ever had. I've never been to Italy, but if the pasta there is anything like Barretto's, I'm already sold. Also, HUGE CALLOUT on the fresh sourdough bread that came with both our entrees. My family and I decided to go to lunch at Baretto Bistro while in the area. We drove up, found parking, and walked in. We got there at about 11:15 on a Wednesday. They had just opened so it was just us and two other people in the restaurant at that time. We were greeted by the host/waiter after standing at the entrance for a few minutes, then taken to a booth. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was welcoming. After sitting we just sort of waited around. We were eventually brought some menus and our drink orders were taken. After a few minutes he brought out our waters and took our order. He seemed to be the only person working at the time so the service was a little slow. We started our meal with a small charcuterie board that had meats, cheeses, olives, grapes, marmalade, and crostinis. The charcuterie board was good. The grapes were fresh, the olives were semi salty, the meats and cheeses each had their own distinct flavors, and the crostinis were crispy. The marmalade was really good. It was sweet but not overly sweet and perfect on the crostinis. A great mix of good food. For my meal my husband and I decided to share two dishes. He ordered the Short Rib Hoagie which comes with a chopped short rib beef, peppers, and onions, and provolone cheese. He ordered it without the cheese. I ordered the B Eliel T which comes with a crispy chicken, cheese, bacon, pickles, onions, tomatoes, and dressing. I ordered it without cheese. It came with a side of fries. The Short Rib Hoagie was delicious. The meat was tender and very flavorful. I didn't really like the hoagie bread but I ate all of the meat inside of the sandwich. The B Eliel T was good. The chicken was a good size and it was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I am glad that they put the dressing on the side because I tried it and it was spicy. So I chose to slightly dip my sandwich in the sauce with each bite for added flavor. The fries were really good. They were big with a lot of potato on the inside and a slight crispiness on the outside. I dipped mine in Ketchup for added flavor. Overall it was a good place to go for a tasty lunch meal. The atmosphere was nice, the service was a little slow but it was good despite that and the food was delicious. read more

We came here before a game at Q2 Stadium. There is a small parking lot in front of the restaurant. The interior is cozy. We chose to sit at the bar. There were quite a few regulars there which is always a good sign in my book. The staff was great and helped us with drink selections. As a lover of all things truffle, we got the Mushroom Truffle Fettuccine. It was absolutely delicious! The pasta was cooked perfectly. The truffle was fragrant and paired perfectly with the sauce and pasta. We also got the Tuscan Truffle pizza. It was also good, but the highlight was definitely the pasta (I may be a little biased to pastas anyways). This is a great spot to have a date night, meet up with friends, or even kick up a conversation with the regulars at the bar. We will definitely be back! read more

Classic neighborhood restaurant! I went with a friend and we shared a Spinach Artichoke starter that came with sourdough, a Caesar Salad, and a Baretto Burger that came with fries. When we ordered, our waiter caught on that we were sharing the meals and split it all without us even asking... 10/10 service! Everything was tasty, cooked to perfection and the music volume was just right. They also have outdoor seating and I hear their pizzas are really good, it's Italian after all haha. This restaurant is located in the 26 doors Plaza and it is a relatively intimate space with three booths, six tables inside, 12 spots at the bar and nine on the outside porch. They have a limited food menu, a limited wine menu and even more limited craft beer menu. They do have a full bar and seven signature cocktails. We started with their fried calamari which was cooked perfectly, but pretty average (should have tried the calamari mista for $2 more). If you order a pizza, they cook it in their outdoor porch gas oven (not wood fired like other yelpers mistakenly believe). My pepperoni and mushroom pizza was good, but it reminded me of pizzas I've paid $12-$15 elsewhere for. The crust was nothing special and it lacked any signature style. The wife's gluten-free pizza fared a little better. The smash burger was pretty much in line with your average fast food burger, but for $18! We decided on the chocolate mousse cake for dessert and I have to admit, it did not disappoint. Basically we got average food for upscale prices. Our server Jasmine was very pleasant and attentive. We really enjoyed this place! The food was great and cocktails were creative and delicious! I loved that we saw our pizza going through a few stages of prep in the outdoor wood fired pizza oven too. They had great gluten free options, like gf pizza crust and gf crackers to go with the charcuterie board. The Tuscan Truffle pizza was unique, it had a savory truffle base instead of marinara sauce. I liked it! We got there right around 5 after a work day so it was quiet, but slowly got busier and was a fun environment by the time we left. The service was okay, a little off at times and we had to chase someone down to get our check, but I'm glad we also weren't rushed out of there. Had a little galentine's dinner here and the food was delicious! The place is on the smaller side but there's patio seating when the weather is nicer outside. We got a couple of appetizers and share the Tuscan Truffle pizza. When they brought the pizza to our table, the smell was so fragrant that our mouths started salivating. It also tasted just as good as it smelled! It did get busy after we got there and it seemed like there were only one or two servers but she still took care of us with full tables. Ate here on a weekend night with my wife. Sadly, it was just okay. Very ordinary food and each dish seemed to be lacking very usual accompaniments,. How so? The pear salad had fresh greens, but the pear slices had no taste. The mussels in a wine, butter sauce tasted like they left out the wine (really!), and there was no toasted bread for dipping in the broth. My wife's pizza did not have even a hint of authenticity (in terms of authentic Italian), despite being made in the outdoor wood burning (I assume) oven. Just a lot of cheese, a touch of basil, and tomato. Candidly, my son-in-law's pizza, made in a pizza oven I bought him for his birthday is far superior. The espresso post-meal was not served with a lemon peel, which is quite typical for an espresso served in an Italian-like venue. And, playing pop tunes (but more so songs from the 80s/90s) didn't add to the mood. Server was friendly and attentive. At about $100 with tip, which included a glass of wine and an excellent vodka martini, puts this place in the over-priced category. So the recipes and flavors are good. It's not too expensive. Good price on wine by the glass. Great space especially when the weather is good and you can sit outside. But here's the 4 star justification. We 3 adults went the other day. We had to pay $2 for more bread with the appetizer. We all had pasta dishes that were good. But when we were done, we had to order a pizza to feel full. We're not pigs, were normal sized adults. One person was my wife. MAKE THE PORTIONS BIGGER. It was $133 bucks with the 1 glass of wine and 2 waters. 50% more pasta and 1/4 cup of sauce and we'd have been full. I get food is expensive, but it's pasta. You shouldn't have to eat a $22 pizza for dessert. read more

Went for an early Saturday dinner and got some old Brick Oven favorites they've added to the menu. Chicken rigatoni, Tuscan truffle pizza, spinach artichoke appetizer. Everything was so delicious. It's so cozy and cute inside and the service was great. This would be a great spot for a date. The building is in the corner and a little hidden so it could be easy to miss I think. I have been here several times, and always enjoy the ambiance, cocktails, and wine selection. I loved the mushroom truffle pizza I had here a couple months ago. This time was a miss. I ordered the spinach artichoke pizza, and it looked like a nicely-cooked pizza crust with cream soup poured in the middle. I really should have taken a photo - a guy next to me was making a face and asking what it was. I had to eat it with a fork. I took leftovers home, and it stuck to the carton, if that tells you anything. Hopefully next time will be better and I'll order something else. read more

We were promptly seated at lunchtime by a friendly waiter/host. The lunch menu had enough choices to make deciding difficult. I finally landed on mushroom truffle fettuccine ($16) at the waiter's suggestion. I'm not a huge fan of a plate of pasta but this cream sauce and the tender pasta was very good and the lunch portion was the perfect amount. My friend had the B "Eliel" T chicken sandwich on a brioche bun with bacon, cheddar, chili dressing and some fries ($14) - all tasty.
