We ate here tonight instead of fighting the Wine Walk crowds, but we should have eaten at Las Delicias instead. I really like the menu and location, but there were some problems and I can only give Rory's 2 stars. I ordered the Prime Rib dinner which came with a baked potato, broccoli, and a side salad. The meat was rare and I asked for medium rare plus, the potato was way under cooked and hard. I told the server about the potato, so she brought another that was the same as the first and cold. Another waiter (maybe a manager) came to the table about the potato and argued with me about the hardness of the potato. She felt it was a matter of preference and she doesn't like her potatoes mushy. I've eaten baked potatoes in many restaurants and they are usually cooked until soft! I didn't appreciate her attitude and thought she handled the situation poorly! My husband ordered the fried fish and only got 3 small pieces of fish. The last time we ate there, we saw a plate of fish and it was a much bigger portion. He was disappointed! read more

Great food at a great price right in downtown Parker! Whole family was pleased! I orderd the buffaloe meatloaf sandwich which was amazing and we walked out with dinner for 6 for under $50! Service was great as well. read more

We showed up on a Sunday afternoon. 2ish. Drinks took 20 minutes to get delivered. When they did get them our server, Susan, stunk like a freshly smoked cigarette. Here we are, 40 minutes later and we are waiting for our food. Another cigarette smoked I guess. Who delivers kids pancakes without syrup? Shouldn't have to ask another server for it. Finished eating and now we wait for a check. Waited 15 minutes. Didn't see a single employee on the floor. Finally went in to find someone. All the employees were chatting in the server station by the restrooms. No Susan to be found. I asked one of the other employees for our check. Gave them our card. When Susan came to drop the receipt she coped an attitude and said she was sorry about the delay but she had a employee slip and fall. Really? An employee slipped and fell for 2 hours? Moral of Susan's story, don't wait tables if you are the manager. Susan is unable to handle the responsibility I guess. Did I mention that she didn't know what beers they serve? read more

My new husband and I were in search of an amazing place to cater our wedding last week. We heard people talk about this cute diner and decided to check it out. WOW-the food is incredible. Jeff is an amazing chef and sat down with us 1 on 1 to get a menu set up with the feel and style we were looking for. He even did a tasting for us! (YOU HAVE TO TRY HIS MAC & CHEESE). He and his staff did an incredible job at our event, arrived on time, everything we planned for worked out great, and even completed the clean up/break down. We highly recommend him if you are planning an event, but if not, you at least have to stop by for some of his pancakes! read more

Wanted something different and found Rory"s Diner. Great food and Antoinette was a gem. Will definitely go back to try other menu items. Love the small town, personal feel. We found a parking spot right away but it could be a challenge on a busy weekend since downtown Parker is challenged in that area, but well worth a short walk for the experience. read more

Real deal. Excellent breakfast, the chicken fried steak with jalapeño country gravy give it a nice kick. Generous portions.

I went in on Saturday as a party of 1. The hostess ask me if I would sit at the counter. I agreed as long I got timely service. This is my second time at the counter, both times it took over 10 minutes just to get a hi. The bartender looked right at me and did not welcome me or say anything to me. The people waiting tables appear not to have time for the counter, while the bartender stands there waiting for a drink order. I had the breakfast version of the chicken fried steak. The gravy was luke warm at best, the few potatoes old and hard. My eggs were not properly cooked No one asked me how my food was. In fact my wait person finally asked if I would like more water for the first time after my plate was removed. I would score the staff as 2 stars and the food as 2.5 stars. This was my second visit and the lack of interaction with the staff was minimal in both cases while the bartender did nothing but look at me. read more

So we really wanted to like this place because Parker could use a good diner, but we came away very disappointed. The service was fine, but the food was terrible. I mean terrible. It was completely obvious that the meats were frozen 10 minutes before they were put on our plates. My wife ordered the burger and it was just not good. I ordered the bison meatloaf and it tasted like they grabbed it out of the frozen food isle at king soopers and stuck it in the microwave for 3 minutes and put in on a plate lathered in brown gravy. Green beans were actually good but the mashed potatoes were uneatable. Just terrible. My daughter got the hotdog...unremarkable. All for over $30. In summary, ok service, way overpriced, and terrible food. I have never given a bad review until now. We will not be going back. read more

I really like to support local businesses, I have given this place 2 tries, it is some place between awful and bad. I cannot figure out how there are so many good reviews. We tried a burger, chicken fried chicken, patty melt and Belgian waffles (the waffles were the only thing worth eating). I will not be back for a third time, yuk. read more

So.. it's cute, the staff is nice and the food is fine so that is not the reason for low rating. Still the one thing holding me back from ever returning was a sign on a the wall. It started out with something along the lines of We're are politically incorrect". That's not really something to brag about. Anyway it went on to suggest that they are patriotic because they say "Merry Christmas" and God bless America" And somehow doing this means they support our troops, firefighters and police forces. "If you find this offensive you can leave" . I find this pathetic. When our troops are in Afghanistan and Iraq they are not fighting for Christianity or exclusion of other religions they are fighting for democracy. One of the kids with me said " These people would probably hate me if they knew who I was". Heartbreaking. I hope that some day people won't pride themselves on being "offensive". This is a fine addition to Parker and gives you a good taste of the way the town was and still is to some degree. The staff put a lot of love into their meals and it shows. I'll be back for sure and wished I lived closer as it would be regular stop for me. It's nice to see a non-corporate non-chain establishment hit the mark. read more

Had dinner on Saturday night at 5:30pm. The service was terrible. There are 6 tables inside that were all full and 4 outside that were full. 2 waitresses and 2 bussers should be able to handle that amount of guests. It took 15 minutes before we were waited on. The special of the night, prime rib was not mentioned to us but luckily we saw it advertised in a Parker magazine and that is what we ordered. The food was good, especially the basil mint salad dressing. The prime rib was hard to cut and the fat had congealed on the meat and was hard and had turned yellow but it was tasty. We ordered a baked potato loaded without the bacon and received it with bacon and no butter or sour cream. The other baked potato was ordered loaded with no sour cream and it arrived with no butter. While eating our meal, a table became empty so a young girl busser sat down to eat while the older waitress also sat down and ate off of her plate as well. Then the older waitress held the outside door closed in play so that the other waitress could not come in from the outside. The red floor runner inside the restaurant was moved several times and finally placed alongside our table but the servers tripped over it as well as us. If this restaurant is to survive, perhaps coupons should be sent out to neighbors. By 6:45pm the restaurant had cleared out. Was there a manger on duty? Not sure. Rory's has been open since early June so I would think the problems would be worked out by now! read more

went there for lunch, it was our fourth attempt for a good meal. the first two were for breakfast, and the last two were lunch. breakfast was spiceless, tasteless and expensive. coffee was okay. we should have gotten the hint, but we try to help our local business' when we can, so the lunches were the same. i ordered the same lunch as the first visit for lunch, and the meal was totally different. the salad was more then half bell peppers, and the first had no peppers. only good thing for all 4 visits is that the waitstaff was very good. but, we will never visit again. the friends that joined us are of the same opinion. read more

Well we are done. We were fans of Rory's and because of that we wanted to give them another chance. Thought the poor service and food delivery was just growing pains. We paid them another visit on Sunday the 5th hoping that they had caught up to their growth. Unfortunately they have not and don't seem to care. We were one of 4 tables around us that had the same issues: slow service, orders came out incorrectly (I asked for cheddar cheese rather then American on my Meat Lovers Burrito and it came out with American. When I asked for this to be corrected they said the best that they could do was to scrap the America off and put cheddar on-nice), no silverware (All tables had to ask for silverware) no drink refills (we asked for more water and coffee and never got it). Wow, as I write this I wonder why i even left a tip. Anyway, Rory's if you even care and are reading this, let us know you care. If you can change we will come back. For now we are done and I will be honest with those who ask me for a recommendation. Good luck, we would love to see you turn this around. read more

I know you won't post this review but here was our experience. Once we were seated we waited over 20 minutes for the server to take our order. We ordered chicken fried steak with the gravy on the side. We waited about 45 minutes before our food arrived. I cut into the meat and found it was what I suspected...chicken with the gravy poured all over the top instead of being served on the side as we ordered. We tried to get the server's attention but she ignored us for about 20 minutes. When we told her we had the wrong food, she shrugged her shoulders and said "sorry". We decided there was no point in asking for the correct orders since it would probably be another hour of waiting. By the way, after asking the wait person she said the chicken fried steak and chicken were brought in frozen. Don't let them try to fool you into thinking they prepare them on site. Maybe the next restaurant will be better. We could use a good one in Parker! The manager didn't set foot near our table to apologize. Don't go there! read more

I wish that I could give this place 0 stars. We love to support local businesses and decided to give this place a try. We were beyond disappointed. The food was so bad that we left in disbelief that what we had received had come from a functioning restaurant. I have no doubt that this place will be closed down soon enough, which is really unfortunate. I ordered the corned beef hash. It was honestly the worst meal I have ever had (I had two bites). The corned beef, if that's truly what it was, was served in large fatty chunks along with large pieces of potato. The entire thing tasted like frying pan or grease or some other off putting taste. The eggs on top, however, were actually the worst part of the meal. They were darkly browned on both sides, had a rubbery quality, and contained nearly no liquid yolk on the inside because they were cooked way too much. To add to all of that, the entire meal was barely warm and seemed like they had simply shoved it under a warming lamp or in a microwave. Overall, awful. Then there was my boyfriends meal. The succotash that came on the side of the meal was no succotash at all. It was corn. Just corn. He then had three pieces of fried chicken. The first piece was so scorching hot on the outside that he couldn't pick it up at first. But when he did start eating it he found that the inside was quite cold. Thinking that it may have just been that one piece, he then cut into the other two, one of which was ice cold and the other still partially frozen. This disturbs me for two reasons. First of all, why not use fresh chicken? I think in addition to the problems I had with my meal, this just shows that the quality of food and ingredients used at this restaurant are extremely low quality. Second, why are cooks like this being hired? Whoever cooked this meal clearly has no desire to prepare quality food or serve the customers well.
