I was very surprised to see mounds of Roast Beef, Bacon, diced Tomatoes, a half of Avocado and diced Swiss Cheese, served over fresh Romaine lettuce! Also including a generous amount of Blue Cheese dressing and a very large order of delicious crispy fries which I dipped in the Blue Cheese! I am happy to report I ate it all and was thrilled that my friends had chosen the Castleview Cafe for our monthly luncheon. Great value for early risers! Their 7 to 9 am breakfast specials are terrific deals for $8. Toast, French toast, or pancake with one egg, bacon or sausage and hashbrowns. Chili relleno or biscuits & sausage gravy specials with egg & hashbrowns as well. Well worth the visit. Only problem is the parking and that most probably is not their fault. The friendly Castleview staff enters my license plate number when I enter, but the malicious/incompetent swine at ForesightParking keep sending me $107 parking tickets (four so far). I give the citations to the cafe manager and she takes care of it, but it's becoming a hassle. I recently got a text message about paying a parking ticket, but that might have been a scam (don't click the provided link!). Second time to this location. We showed up on a Saturday morning and were seated immediately. Coffee is strong and good. I again went with the Greek omelette, which was filling and delicious. Hash browns were kind of cold and a little bland to me this time, but my wife liked hers. Biscuit is yummy. My wife had a build your own omelette. They forgot the avocado at first but then remembered as she was asking for it. My daughter had the Denver omelette with toast and fruit. Service was fine for the most part. Impeccable service and scrumptious fare alert! This place did not disappoint--every single member of our party loved their food and devoured it, until their plate was empty. The chef went above and beyond to make sure I had a decent meal, even though I'm nightshade, seed oil, and gluten-free because of autoimmune conditions outside of my control. The restaurant was filled to the brim with patrons, but the service turn around was still speedy. I can't recommend this place highly enough. And the parking lot has great views of the Castle Rock itself. We didn't have issues with finding a parking spot near the entrance, but I can see how that might get trickier when it's a busy time of day, as there are businesses flanking it on every side. But don't let that deter you, it's worth walking a block as well. We can't wait to go back again! read more

Well, another nice bike ride and another great brunch at Castleview Cafe! As with our prior visit, we had excellent service (even though the cafe was packed), with owner Tom helping out. My wife had the chicken sandwich with provolone & bacon and loved it, and my Corned Beef with eggs and hash potatoes and toast was very good too. After a nice ride, it is had to beat brunch on Castleview's patio on a sunny day. And there is alweays plenty of parking for the bikes! read more

We came here for breakfast and had a unique advantage of sitting at the bar overseeing the kitchen and man do those people work! (One man in particular). The food was good, the value is decent but what really sells it is the service. This newly opened little café located in the downtown area is a place to try. It has a bright and welcoming decor. We went there Sunday morning around 10 AM and were able to grab a table During the busy brunch rush. Our server was warm and welcoming. Food service was quick and the food was delicious. We ordered the Relleno breakfast dish, French toast and chicken quesadillas. Everything came out correctly and it was delicious. The French toast is super thick. The Relleno was wrapped in an egg-roll paper and formed into a square. It came with eggs. We added a side of avocado. The quesadilla can with beans and a side. We picked the potato salad. Very cool little cafe in charming Downtown Castle Rock. My wife and I came here for brunch today with our local friends and really enjoyed it. The place was reasonably busy but we were seated very quickly. The menu was more extensive than we had expected due to their plentiful selection but we were all easily able to find something we liked, assisted by our polite server. When everyone's meals arrived, they were perfectly prepared. We were all very pleased with our experience and look forward to our next visit. read more

This new restaurant is cute. We didn't have any troubles getting a table at noon on Sunday. Our server was friendly. The person I'm assuming is the manager was checking on diners, which was nice to see. I had the Mass Confusion and it was delicious. I actually cleaned my plate which I never do. The sausage gravy is the best I've had in the area. My daughter was happy with her chicken tenders and I don't know how you make the chocolate milk but it was perfect. The only downside we had was my husband's Huevos Rancheros. He was very disappointed that it came with one giant tortilla instead of several small ones. He said he might as well have ordered a burrito. His meal looked a little sad compared to my giant plate of food. read more

Incredibly accommodating! My men's group came for breakfast ... around 20 of us. I'd called to confirm they could handle our group and they did! Orders all over the menu and zero complaints. Portions were great. Jesse served us and got it all right ... even the individual checks. They take your license number to validate parking otherwise it's a stiff ticket. I am giving 5 stars because I really want this place to succeed. My mother said if you don't have anything nice to say... I'm sorry but I have to and pray it doesn't fall on deaf ears. I ate here on 3 different times and here's my experience... 1st time. I was unsure of where to park because the signs are confusing. I parked on the street. I arrived at 1.15 and could tell that I was arriving a little to close to closing time. I assured the nice woman that I would hurry, not to keep them past closing. I did not feel welcomed. I ordered a club sandwich. It was delicious. Fresh and awesome. Don't know why they are using frozen fries but they were what I call everywhere fries. Got out before 2:) 2nd time. I asked the gentleman serving me if I should do the club or try a burger? He recommended the burger, stating it was Wagyu. I followed his suggestion. It arrived and was so overcooked I could barely eat 1/2. Hockey puck. No one ever asked how it was. After I paid, the server was outside and finally asked. I expressed my displeasure and was met with "that happens a lot ". Very disappointed 3rd time. Breakfast. I ordered the traditional eggs Benedict with crispy hash browns. Hopefully the picture is attached?! The eggs were playing a game of hide and seek with the Canadian bacon. The eggs won. When I enjoy a benny, I like to have a taste of ALL the ingredients together. I left the equivalent of 1/2 English muffin because there wasn't enough of the bacon. The hash browns were good but spread thin to cover the plate. Potatoes are cheap.I really never felt welcomed on any visit. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be returning but wish them all the luck in the world. read more

This addition to CR's brunch locations proved to be a mixed bag. Nice ambiance and friendly staff to greet and serve. Prices are reasonable, especially if you stop in before 9am for their early bird specials. The coffee is excellent and refills were always handy. I ordered the waffle plate with eggs, bacon, and hash browns. The kitchen cooked my eggs over easy rather than poached, but my server quickly took back the eggs and requested poached. The reorder took quite a while and I could hear the kitchen women talking. The poached eggs did come out eventually. My waffle was very crispy, quite brown, and separated/cut on the sides, but I didn't want to deal with that reorder, so that's on me. The parking lot is a hassle-be sure to know your license plate to register your vehicle or you will get a $104 ticket! The staff will register your license number. I'll come back another time to try their lunch simply because the service is so nice and friendly! The patio will be great in the warmer months. read more

What a lovely surprise. First time visit. I had the create your own omelette. All the veggies were perfectly done and blended well. Not your run of the sourdough toast, but appeared fresh and homemade. I'm not a coffee drinker but my husband who is a bit of a coffee snob gave it a thumbs up. I can not overstate how horrible our dining experience was today! The food was legitimately inedible. Out of 4 meals, only one was eaten. The chicken fried steak was dry and hard.
