Scrumptious breakfast, spotless and fun environment, friendly staff- what a find! My husband and I just finished visiting Parker's wonderful Farmers' Market and decided to have breakfast. We found Rory's Diner by chance and accidentally walked in the back entryway. A lovely gentleman directed us to the proper entrance where we were greeted by every person we passed. After seeing a packed dining room, we knew that we picked the right place to eat. Another couple was waiting for a table and asked to share the large booth by the front window... an added bonus was meeting new people. Our delicious hot meals were brought quickly and coffee was constantly refilled. A definite stop while in Parker, Colorado; we are looking forward to our next visit! read more

Very average diner food. We didn't get the best service but I think the waitress may have been new. I really wanted to like this place but they kept disappointing. I think all 5 of us didn't care too much for our main dishes but we all liked the pie. They were out of a lot of things for a Friday night. No BBQ sauce and 2 of our meal choices they ran out of. No cheese on a cheeseburger... Its getting too expensive to pay $50+ for concession standard food. :( read more

It was Friday morning running errands with my two pups and I was batch'en it without my husband. The focus here is trying to find a spot for breakfast on a patio that accepts my pups. I tried the Tailgate in Parker but the patio isn't open until 11:00 weekdays. Next stop was Rory's patio, a shaded sweet spot that is semi dog friendly as one must tie up the pups outside of the patio. Okay, we're good as I could put down a mat from my car so the pups could avoid the bark and the thorns from the rose bushes (Rory's you must rethink this. Either you are dog friendly or you're growing roses.) The concrete patio was dirty with cob-webby dirt that obviously had been there a while. I'm not fussy, I just expect an establishment to have a better eye than I do. My tummy said pancakes with eggs on top and bacon on the side. The menu said blueberry pancakes and it was too convoluted for me to order special requests. Back to my 2nd choice, chicken fried steak which I have ordered before but it was dry when placed on top of hash browns with the jalapeno gravy. Graciously the server switched out the browns for mashed potatoes. ( are these real or from powdered, flavor and texture was a miss) Jalapeno gravy was not the 'diner' flavor I was looking for so I must surmise that Rory's is just offering a new twist on gravy. I'm not sure, but this chick fried steak might not be your choice if you are are fussy as I am trying hard not to be. Thank You Rory's.. Great place for breakfast and probably other meals. We dined on a Saturday and the food blew away expectations. Whoever heard of having an appetizer with breakfast, but that's exactly what we had. The blueberry lemon French toast was a wonderful start for an exceptional breakfast. My breakfast burrito was wonderful and the green chili was excellent. This is the way that all small independent diners should be, super courteous, and super food and great prices. Congratulations, you got one extra dollar out of me for the side of mayo I wanted with my burger. Of course, in doing so you also ruined any chance of me ever returning again. I'd like to think that the owner had the ability to see how nickel and diming the customer is not a good long term strategy, but from what I gather here, that's unlikely. I mean, even the wait staff look like they're just biding time until a better job comes along. Seriously dummy, even though the burger tasted like something I'd get at a neighborhood picnic, I would have come back to try the breakfast sometime. I ventured out to try this place alone last Saturday. Once I found the correct door to enter (yes, people inside were watching me try all the doors! Embarrassing!), I requested a table for one. The hostess wanted me to sit at the counter. I insisted on a table, as I could see plenty of seating available. She said she would have to clean a table. I was seated at a small table against the wall. I ordered an ice tea and a Club House sandwich, lightly toasted w/ crispy bacon and fries. About 15 minutes later I received a Chicken Club w/ fries. I didn't see my waitress so I told another waitress that I had received the wrong order. A few minutes later a manager, I think, returned with the same sandwich and interrogated me about not ordering the sandwich she was holding. I repeated my order. She was obviously annoyed. Another 10 minutes later, I did receive my order. I didn't think it was possible to screw up a Clubhouse sandwich, but this one had a funny taste. I only ate one triangle, paid and left. On the Fourth of July, we stopped by on our walk in search of breakfast. We just moved in and live in the Parker Flats apartments just next door so we were happy that there was something really close by. We have a dog and decided to see if we could dine with him. While my husband went to see if they were dog friendly and to ask we could be seated in the patio area, I stood outside with our dog on the sidewalk and a waitress abruptly shooed me and my dog away from the restaurant and told my husband "No dogs!" At the same time another lady who had been there before us with her two large Ridgebacks were relatively close to where we were standing, tried to go after my medium sized very well-mannered dog, but she wasn't told to go way. We moved along on our search for a place to eat. 7/9/18 - I'm not one to leave bad reviews without actually trying the place. So we returned today without our dog. Everyone was nice. We were automatically seated inside, but when we asked to sit outside, it wasn't a problem. We were however, seated next to a table with two men watching The World Cup in their cell phone and we could hear every play. We weren't too bothered by it though, and it wasn't really Rory's fault. Some people just don't have proper manners! They have a good selection of diner food on the menu, and breakfast all day. My husband is a breakfast person, so with Rory's being next door and the fact that he can get breakfast at any time of the day is a plus! We ordered the breakfast plate and Belgium waffles. Everything was delicious and cooked as ordered. We did ask to clarify about the dog policy. They are allowed on the outside of the gate, but not within the patio. But we were not told that at all the other day. Health thing, I get it. So they are semi-dog friendly. The way the property is set up, it would be somewhat hard to eat and keep an eye on your dog, though. So maybe not come with your dog. 7/10/18 - Being so close, we returned again today, this time with the in-laws. No complaints. To start, it took a solid 3 minutes for someone to even realize we were standing at the host stand-when they finally came out from the back they were all laughing and goofing around. Once someone finally came to help, they had a mouthful of food. Not to mention, she had zero idea where to seat us and there were only 3 occupied tables when we came in. I then ordered a HOT toddy, and it arrived to the table a cold toddy. Which was a bummer on this cold January night for a girl with a cold. My burger was delicious though! Well flash forward to a couple of years later.... we count Rory's as our favorite breakfast spot in Parker and just had dinner here for the first time and it was delicious! It seems as if all the problems mentioned before have been solved. The menu items now have a definite chef feel. A few weeks ago my husband had the steak & eggs special and was blown away by not only the portion and price but also the taste! Their breakfast burrito is always on point. I informed her we had 5 and that my grandmother was in a wheelchair, she told me it would be a few minutes and it didn't even take that, she put us at a long table and moved two chairs so Grandma could get up to the table comfortably! If you can't stick to your pick up standards set on your website why do it all. Best food I have ever had. But we my wife, daughter, son-in-law, and 3 granddaughters had to wait and wait and wait so my daughter ask for the waitress to be called to take our order which was after sitting for aver about 20 minutes. To find out she is the owner's sister-in-law. The first word out of her mouth was no one told her that anyone was sitting at her table. I didn't see her out on the floor the entire time so what was she doing??? 1st she blames the other workers for not telling her to do her job. WTH. Half of the food was delivered to our table. 2nd I had to get our waitress to get the pancake syrup, since the pancakes were getting cold and the rest of the food had not come. She responded it's the food delivery persons fault and I said are you not out waitress. That pissed her off and I asked were is the rest of our food. 2 sticky's buns. I guess it takes over 30 minutes to warm them up. She delivered The rest of our food and my wife asked for more coffee. She comes back and fills up our cups (4) and yes over pored my daughters cup all over the table and all over the floor and on my Christmas gif from my granddaughter. She goes and gets a towel and cleans up the table and went to grab a mop to clean up the floor yes and does not say a word about my present just moved it aside hoping I would not see it was all wet. To find out she had 3 tables and I never saw her at all on those tables till she had them pay. I talked to to owner and of course she said she was sorry, but wow I was just waiting for it and she didn't disappoint me with "no other customer had ever had a problem with her sister-in-law before". I said maybe you she come out of the back and talk to you customers instead of staying in the back or tell your young people that work there to say something to you when they see there is a problem. Maybe they are scared of getting fired if they say anything negative about your family that works their. I said if she is working in the back then keep her their but not both places because she is not able to multi task and do both good. Had wanted to get in to Rory's Diner for a while, finally did on the Saturday of the Parker Christmas Carriage Parade. A bit tough to determine which door to entre through, but once you figure that out you find a great diner with a fun atmosphere! The mood was festive and service was excellent - we were immediately greeted, seated and offered hot coffee. What more could we ask for? The waitress was very friendly and offered her suggestions for breakfast from their menu. We enjoyed the breakfast rellenos (awesome chile relleno version with scrambled eggs and other goodies inside) and the chicken fried steak breakfast. We were not disappointed! The food was extremely tasty and serving size was generous. My husband loved the country gravy and the jalapeno gravy (delicious savory, cheesy gravy with the right amount of spice)! The smooth coffee kept flowing and we enjoyed our time. The waitress offered some house-made pie following breakfast. Alas, that must wait for another visit! read more

WONDERFUL BREAKFAST! I recommend putting their gravy on everything! Went with a large group and we all ordered something different and all shared Not a bad or average breakfast- all was amazing. Please is super tiny so during the winter when the patio is closed could be tricky to find a seat. The vanilla pancakes had a very subtle wonderful vanilla flavor, gravy was TO-DIE-FOR, breakfast burrito was great, had a 'mole' like sauce, the breakfast potato skins was a delicious and creative take on an appetizer and those were the best breakfast sandwiches ever! Visited the "new" Rory's for the first time last night as my daughter wanted breakfast for dinner for her birthday. We discovered the previous smaller location about a year ago and fell in love. The new, larger dining space is wonderful and the food is as good as ever! My kids love the vanilla streusel pancakes, which are fluffy and delicious every time. My usual is the Huevos Rancheros since this is the only place around that makes them as similar to the ones from back home (NM). Ample chorizo with taters and eggs cover in a delish green chile sauce. Not hot but has a mild bite. Super nice owner- cook and wonderful friendly waitress- wife.
