Invited here to meet up with someone visiting.. not sure what to expect as the neighborhood is... well... it's Cypress Hills ... sooo no high expectations, However I was pleasantly surprised...Upon entering there was staff outside income to go in, greeted at the door by a very friendly young lady who wanted to know if I had reservations or needed a table. Affirmed I'll wait at the bar until my party arrived and was served rather quickly... I requested a custom cocktail of bourbon and elderflower as I had been drinking that earlier and surprisingly they were well able to accommodate me with makers mark and st Germain twist of orange.... Service was prompt and friendly... Decor was surprisingly chic and didn't not make you feel as if you were in east New York. We settled into the backyard, which was also well arranged... basketball game on... dj playing... Thursday night not busy but a really nice low key spot to chill talk vibe, have a drink. Would recommend ... not rating food, didn't eat so doesn't apply, however the inside looked comfortable and private....if you're in search of a local, not too busy spot, definitely stop in. The rent a cop bouncers they have at the door are extremely rude. We went there to celebrate a birthday & they wouldn't let my entire party in only the girls but the restaurant was empty. Guests were leaving from the bar & people from my party would try to come sit at the bar & they would tell them the seat at the bar was reserved. Very strange night at this place we left and went across the street to another restaurant called Bonao 10/10 recommend you go there instead!! Visited Room 100 recently and honestly had a really good time. The vibe is lively with great music, strong drinks, and a social atmosphere that's perfect for groups. Happy hour Monday through Thursday is a solid deal especially if you like mojitos, frozen margaritas, or sangria. Tiffany was our bartender and provided great service throughout the night. The hookah was also really smooth (Nino knows what he's doing!). I like that they offer daily specials like taco Tuesdays and ladies night, which gives you a reason to come back more than once. Absolutely terrible experience in Room 100 with server Yanelys. I ordered a steak, which came with gravy I cannot eat, and when I asked to remove it from the bill, they refused. The manager had the nerve to say I could order something else, but I still had to pay full price for the steak--even if the new dish was cheaper. When I refused, they flat out refused to serve us. This is horrible, rude, and completely unacceptable customer service. Crab cake wasn't seasoned well, lightly fried, wet on the outside. All you tasted was the tartar sauce that it laid on. French fries were good, fried chicken was cooked too long, it was dry! The place is very beautiful however the customer service is terrible I would never ever recommend this place to anyone. When I first got in the Resurant smelled like garbage so me and boyfriend decided to go the back Resurant. When we finally got seated we had to wait 30 minutes for the waitress. I took a seat at the bar when I arrived. the Bar tender seamed to be completely worried about the music played in the bar and ignoring the patrons at the bar. After having one drink at the bar I decided to get a table with my friend. We ordered the Mini Beef Sliders for $ 15.00 Three black angus beef sliders on a mini brioche buns with bibb lettuce, white cheddar, spicy ketchup and pickle. This item was good and worth the 15.00 bucks ,however the Tempura Shrimp Bites for $ 17.00 Crispy rock shrimp tossed in sriracha mayo was definitely not worth 17.00. the bowl arrived with shrimp that was so small you could miss it in the bowl. So we then decided to order Thai Crab Fried Rice for $ 28.00 Jumbo lump crab, thai basil, thai chili, egg, onion, red Pepper, garlic and scallion are pan fried together with jasmine rice seasoned with a thai chili and fish soy sauce. The 4 spoons of rice arrived instead of Jumbo lump crab it was arrived with 5 medium shrimp. Shrimp thai fried rice for 28.00 was definitely a mistake and not worth the price. I guess we have a rice shortage and a shortage on lump crab. We also decided to order another drink. At the end we request the bill which totaled 165.00 for a party of two. we inquired about the tab the waiter informed us the spicy margarita were made with a premium tequila which included a surcharge, a brand which we didn't see at the bar. I came on a Thursday during happy hour the drinks to me were just ok I ordered off both menus for drinks wasn't blown away by the flavors or potency. A well advertised hookah lounge...the pictures on social media are incredibly deceptive. The ambiance is ghetto...it's loud and street vendors are able to enter the establishment and sell. At 11:30 at night, a guy off the street is walking around with a bucket selling flowers. We ordered the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls-the beef was in undercooked chunks but the sauce was tasty. The Room 100 wings were a bit overcooked or stale because the meat was quite rubbery. The waitresses were pleasant and accommodating. Management could do well to teach the staff the purpose of the appetizer dishes so that the staff leaves them in place and allows the guests to use them for their appetizers. The restaurant should also consider allowing plastic utensils for customers who don't want to use the smudgy cutlery they offer. Requested our food to go because I simply couldn't manage to sit through a meal with people screaming over the noise Wasted a whole date night and 1 hour drive each way. The ambiance is fitting for the location...right on the corner of a city block. It's a hard NO for me on this place.
