Review is for Roofer911 and Steve Briesemeister We have been fighting a leak on the back wall of our house for almost 10 years. This week we reached out to the Internet and found a miracle worker by the name of Roofer 911/Steve Briesemeister . We sent Steve some pictures of the back of the house on Thursday night at 9:30 PM the next morning at 7 AM we received an email from Steve that he can absolutely help and was on his way. On his way sounds too easy on his way meant he had to drive 250 miles round-trip. Steve arrived at 12 o'clock and four hours later he had not only identified the source of the leak's he also did a scan of the entire house and found another leak out front that we never even noticed. Steve presented us with infrared pictures of the leaks and a detailed video of how to repair them. Being his company is 250 miles Away Steve suggested that to save us money we should hire a local roofer and he would gladly talk to them and guide them through the repair. Now for the best part when I talk to Steve on the phone it was going to be at $1000 to have him drive to Richmond due to him having to rearrange his schedule and the travel time. We were fine with that the problem was when I went to pay Steve he would not accept any money said he felt sorry for us ,that he was glad he could helpand to apply the money toward the repairs . In summary I believe we found a A company that is very professional and a person who has integrity that is way off the charts. Life is short and when you meet a person like Steve Briesemeister you want to make him your friend. My wife and I are going to make it a point to stay in touch with Steve as a friend. I'm the type of person who takes a day and a half to pick out a toothbrush. Probably bordering on a disorder but I research things to death. If you're reading this then hopefully you're not as obsessed as I am but you're type of person who does their homework before they make a decision. I hope my experience helps! After scouring the internet for reviews I Called Steve with Roofer 911 after a really windy storm removed several shingles from my roof and water started leaking in through the roof during the following day's rain. Steve was available to come out to the house immediately. Due to my hectic work schedule I feel like I was a royal pain to work around but Steve did so without a problem or making me feel like an inconvenience. Steve came out the following day and was right on schedule. This is where having someone both experienced and honest is crucial for this type of repair. Turns out my repair was somewhat minor although he could have made just about anything up and I would have had no idea. Roofing is not exactly my specialty. Just to be sure I compared his quote/diagnosis with a few other companies and he came in cheaper than the other places I called. Roofer 911 had their crew out to my house that afternoon. The work was done respectfully and quickly. These guys left no trace of being here (other than some beautiful new shingles :) ). Roof is water tight again. I even have a 6 month guarantee on the work. I could not be any happier with Steve or Roofer 911. Issue: SKYLIGHTS LEAK. Lengthy research of possible contractors was conducted. Reviews relative to my issue were considered and visits to contractor websites were made. I viewed the highly instructive Roofer-911 You Tube video. Made contact to receive bids from Roofer-911 (Steve) and three other highly rated skylight/roof repair companies. Roofer-911 was the only bidder to address the ROOT CAUSE of the leaks resulting from hidden, out-of-sight WATER FLOW causing the leaks. Steve uses a sophisticated infrared/thermal imaging device that charts unseen, hidden water flow and precisely locates resulting leakage. Steve suggested a repair protocol which addressed water flow then created a solution NOT requiring skylight replacement. Roofer-911 bid/repair cost was less than half of other bids involving skylight replacement only after a wait time of two to five weeks. Roofer-911 response time was IMMEDIATE--same day. Rainy cold days do not deter Roofer-911. The repair was made within two hours of crew arrival. The foreman made a quick interior reassessment confirming information on the bid sheet then work proceeded without further disturbance to the homeowner. A revisit was required to apply a film of sealant that could not be applied at the time of initial work due to rain. The followup visit was short and did not create any disturbance. Cleanup was complete. Steve is passionate in the pursuit of excellence and thus is of elevated credit to his craft. I am most grateful to Steve and his crew for the timely and efficient repairs. We've used Roofer911 several times this year now and we are consistently pleased with the overall service from Steve and his team. THe first time around we found a leak in our kitchen during the torrential downpours this past summer. We had only recently moved into our house so this was not a pleasant development at all. I scoured AngiesList for a good roof repair and contacted several to help in this 'emergency'. Steve contacted us back literally within the hour and set us on our way for an IR scan (which we purchased on Angieslist). Steve identified several areas causing leaks and his crew was back the following day. Several months later we found a small leak develop around the chimney and the same experience with Roofer911. Steve, the owner, came himself to do the estimate - sent that over to us within 20 minutes and did the work the following day. THe only reason it took the additional day was that we weren't able to respond quickly enough. I was so pleased with Steve I asked him to replace our gutters. I had gotten estimates from 3 separate countractors and all came up with proposals with slightly different options. Steve had one of the lower (not lowest) initial estimate but then walked me through whether some of the options were worth doing on my particular roof. Ultimately Steve matched one of the other estimates for the exact same scope of work and got hte work done within hours. Steve, from Roofer 911, answered on the second call - I am not big on leaving voice mail but it was an option. He quickly worked with my schedule to get a Friday appointment with a 4 hour window. He called within that window to let me know he was coming and he showed up right as expected. He quickly, and friendly, diagnosed the problem that was causing our daughter's room to leak when ever it rained moderately. He showed us the infrared camera shots and tested for moisture - immediately correcting his "you probably shouldn't have to replace the sheet rock in the ceiling" to a "oh yea, you need to to replace this section of sheet rock and insulation because the moisture level from this test is quite high" He emailed a quote immediately afterwards, which I approved and we got the work scheduled for the next morning (Saturday). Two of his crew called the next morning, showing up within an hour and quickly fixing the issue. You couldn't even tell they had been there as they were clean, neat and quick. The only reason I knew they were leaving is that they knocked on the door to tell me the problem was fixed and Monday heavy rains were coming - that would be proof the fix was correct, and instructions on what to do in case it did for whatever reason continue to leak. We suspected our roof had a leak due to water stain on the ceiling. Steve came to our house and used the infrared scanner and confirmed the leak. He wrote down a list of work that he would do and gave us an estimate. The estimate was reasonable along with how professionally sound Steve was in explaining things and assured to provide the before, during, and after photos of the repair that earned our business. We were quite satisfied with how quick he sent his crew out the next day. After the repair, we encountered an issue. We were only given three "after" photos that showed the work was done on 3 of the 4 sides of our dormer and no "after" photo of the ridge vent work. Not only that, we didn't have any "before" photos so we were not 100% certain of the problems as Steve described in the first place. We discussed the issue with Steve; he apologized for the missing photos and offered us a discount. He also agreed to amend in the proposal with a highlighted note and a signature that everything listed was addressed although missing photos. In the end, we felt Steve did his best to work with us and to satisfy us. We really appreciated that. We looked up roofers who repair chimney roof leaks in Northern VA since our roof was leaking around the chimney and going into the attic and main house. We called the number and got the owner who scheduled an appointment for a free assessment for Wed (today). We also called several other companies. One company was going to come Friday so we will cancel them. There was a company who came out on Tuesday but quickly said that he did not repair roof leaks on stone chimneys. He ended up being the brother of the owner. Steve, however, went up on the roof this morning and took pictures and figured out what might be wrong and told us he could have a crew over that afternoon if we agreed on the estimate. He did not pressure us to get a whole new roof or other salesmen things. He also seemed more professional than the person who was coming out Friday. The crew came over this afternoon and worked around the weather. They cleaned up before the showers came. The owner called this evening to check on the roof and asked us to call him if we had any problems. So far there are no leaks but we just got it done today and have only had light showers so I may do another review in a month or more when we have driving rain and snow and hopefully the roof will keep us dry. read more

When we found out we needed a new roof, we did a lot of shopping to be sure we got the best price. All of the 8 or 10 companies we talked to seemed like they could do the job, and they were all offering just about exactly the same approach and materials. Steve came out within a few hours of my call, was extremely helpful and informative (as well as confident) on the phone, and was patient but not insistent as we collected bids and made our decision. He was within a few hundred dollars of our lowest offer, which was a newer company with no presence we could find on yelp, and he was less than half of our highest offers. He said we would do the roof within six business days of our decision, but in fact I think we decided on Friday and he did the work on Tuesday. His team is big, efficient, and quick. I think they had the whole job done by 3:30 in the afternoon, and it's not a tiny house. The only evidence they were there is, obviously, that we have an entirely new roof, flashings, etc. Of course only time will tell if a mistake could have been made up there, but I'd be surprised--and if something comes up, he offers the best warranty of any we heard. Have used Roofer 911's services several times in the past, and this latest roof repair experience was great as always. Steve and his crew are responsive, prompt, and professional. I had noticed with the latest storm that passed through that a leak still existed and was getting worse. It was time to address it, so I filled out the online form and got a followup call from Steve soon after to confirm what the service request was and his availability. They do live up to their name and can usually come inspect and perform the work within 24-48 hours in my experience - truly quick. Steve came by the next day well within the estimated window, walked through what he was seeing in the IR camera, and also detailed out what would need to happen in the estimate. After confirming, his team came later that afternoon to do the repairs and were done in under an hour. Got another followup call from Steve to make sure the work was done and to reassure me that the fixes made that section of roof watertight and sealed completely. I just received a visit from Steve at Roofer911. He answered my email for a quote in less than 24 hours and we setup an appointment for this morning. He gave me a time window of between 8 and noon. At a little before 11 he called to say he was on his way and what time he would arrive. He arrived EARLY! I told him my issue and showed him the interior damage that was caused by the leak. He went on the roof and in literally 10 minutes had found the issue. Fortunately for me it was a simple fix and very reasonable. I also informed him of some nail pops on the roof and he fixed those as well no extra charge! I picked Steve because of his videos that show what causes the leaks he has found, not just how they are fixed. He is very knowledgeable about roofing. I did a lot of research on this and he stuck out above the rest because of his videos which are very informative and show his expertise. If I need another repair, I'm calling him first. I heard about roofer 911 from another roofer who did not work on cedar shake shingles. Steve was very kind, knowledgeable, and he came out last minute to take a look at a leak in my main floor ceiling. I notified him that my roof had been recently replaced and he still offered to do a thermal imaging for the leak even though he knew the roof would be taken care of by the warranty of another roofer. I still requested a quote from him which was extremely reasonable and I am still blown away how he even gave me recommendations and offered his knowledge and expertise to the other roofer handling the work. This guy is definitely 5 stars in my book and he will totally receive any future roofing business I will need. I cannot say enough how I appreciate how he had gone above and beyond on an issue I was having and how he was just happy to help me get my roof fix.. even though it wasn't through him. We saw leaks on the ceiling on the upper level of the home. We found Steve's Roofer 911 on Yelp and based on the positive reviews, I gave him a call. Much like the reviews had said, he gave me an appointment for a free consultation for the very next day. He scanned the leak from inside [with infrared viewer] and from the outside. He walked me through all the steps his team would undertake in fixing the issue. To keep the costs on the lower side, I recommended that he drop a few of the fixes [which I felt were not directly related to the problem, like fixing the ridge vent as well, while the leaks were originating where the pipes were] : he squarely said that he does not do temporary fixes on roofs and that he would not take up the assignment without all the issues he spots getting fixed in the same visit. I appreciated his upfront answer and went ahead with the proposal he came up with. His team fixed the issue the very same day. I have called many other companies that didn't return my calls or told me they could come out in a couple of weeks or so. Not Roofer 911. Steve called me within 5 minutes of me submitting a request online for an estimate for my leaking roof. He was very cordial and said he could have someone out the very next morning between 7-9. The next morning he himself was at my door at 8AM. He was very nice and went about assessing the issue which he determined with an infrared gun where the leak was coming from. He sent me a proposal via E-signature and said he could have it repaired the same day. I signed it a little late so he called and told me he would have his crew the next morning and I wouldn't even have to be there. Sure enough, the work was complete, he told me what they fixed and sent me pictures of what they repaired. Last week we hand a torrential rain and noticed a small leak in the corner of our master bedroom. I filled-out the form on the www.roofer911.com site and received a call just a few minutes later from one of the owners Steve. Steve couldn't have been nicer and offered to come out the very next day, but since it was Christmas Eve and the issue was minor, we had him come the next business day. Steve called at 8am when he was en-route and showed up a few minutes later. With-in 2 minutes of looking at the issue he was able to explain and show me the leak with his thermal image camera. It turned out there was 3 leaks, not 1. With-in 15 minutes, Steve gave me a very reasonable estimate for the repair and once I agreed, his crew showed up 3 hours later to start the repair. The crew was just as nice and cleaned up when they were done. They also explained exactly what they found and repaired. Utilizing infrared, and then while he was on the roof, Steve showed me where the leak on my roof was and the path that the water took down to the leak. I can't come up with the words to say how much I appreciate Steve and his crew coming to my rescue. I came home to find a hole in my roof and everyone I called said they couldn't get to me for weeks. Steve not only fixed my roof in less than 24-hours, he told me how to put up a tarp to protect from the rain that was coming overnight and the cost was just over what my insurance deductible was. Putting up a tarp was not easy but he explained it in detail and that alone helped me sleep through the night. When it started raining the next morning I didn't panic. Steve's crew was prompt, professional and did an excellent job. They replaced the plywood, the barrier and matched the shingles. You can't even tell there was a hole in my roof. Roofer911 provided a fantastic experience for the issue I was having with some side panel that had blown off after a recent wind storm. I spoke with Steve who had asked me to simply email a picture of the damage. Steve turned around a fair quote and said the part would need to be custom shaped in the shop and the exposed wood would receive a heavy bead of protective polyurethane before installing the part. This could be done the next day despite non-ideal weather conditions and that I had not planned on being home. When I came home early afternoon to my pleasure the job was complete and the part matched perfectly.
