I told the person who did the initial estimate that I was on a time crunch and had to call multiple times for an appointment, then an updated appointment when they couldn't meet the first one. A different manager stepped in and was professional and took care of things, even though they had to come out on a Sunday. The work was well done and they delt with a complicated issue within my budget. The work was good, the communication less so. read more

Do Not Use This Company. They installed a new roof after a tree fell on my house a year ago. There were issues after the snow storms in the spring and they company has given me the run around for months about the repairs. I was constantly having to call them for updates while they never called back and then multiple times cancelled appointment because the person got in an accident on the way to my house (same story 3 times). They hide behind the act of god provision instead of acting in good faith. When I reached out to the guy who worked on my original estimate he said he had left the company and replied "That is why I left. This is what they do." Although everything seems fine on the initial install, if anything goes wrong they will pin the costs on you. Buyer beware. Edit. - to be clear they took 3.5 months to get someone out to even look at the repair work needed to be done and after another month later I am still waiting on an estimate to fix. It's not about the money it's about the process and professionalism which are both lacking. read more

Sparkk did an outstanding job on the new roof. Tore off and replaced the roof in one day. Replaced 7 sheets of plywood and fixed areas were roof was sagging. Also replaced siding and flashing on the dormers. Replaced/fixed areas where flashing was coming loose in other areas including flashing at the top of the chimney. The roofing crew accidentally bent the gutter over the garage with their ladder. Sparkk called back and fixed it the next week. Outstanding job! read more

We called Sparkk when we had a bad storm do some damage to our roof. Luis came to our house, assessed the damage, and determined we should get insurance involved. After that initial call to our insurance, Sparkk and Luis handled everything! They worked with our adjuster, got us approved for a full replacement, and managed the whole claim process. Our new roof is fantastic! Sparkk did the work in a single day. We were able to relax, run some errands, and come back to a new roof. They also were able to get us up to code and solved a ventilation issue in our attic. Sparkk cleaned up so well so you would never know a few hours earlier the whole roof was off of our house! I had Sparkk do the roof on my house this week. There's several advantages of this company over another. First of all, they have a good, modern equipment. Secondly, the crew of eight showed up to do my little 1800 square-foot house, and they installed it in a day; That includes removing the old roofing). The fact they could do it in a day amazes me. But as promised, they use the Dow Cornng material throughout- Not just the roofing shingles, but everything. Everything from the sales of the roof, (the presentation), the arrival of the crew, the work, and the cleanup, was all excellent. I was especially impressed with the safety measures that they used on my second story roof. But I think the thing that stands out the most is this crew worked very well together. It's obvious they had been roofing for a long time. But they worked together and separately, without ever getting in each others ways, with a minimum, a shouting, and just good professionalism. I will post some photos here. But yes, I do recommend. Why not a fifth store? To be honest with you, only because of sticker shock of what roofs cost to replace. It's a lot more than it used to be 10 years ago. And I do mean a lot more. You might wanna brace yourself for that. I shopped around and these people were competitive. But it is a pricey expenditure these days. (Much like the way air-conditioning has gone way up as well.) read more

I needed a small repair to the facia and a few shingles replaced on my house and contacted Sparkk who agreed to complete the work for a fair price. A contract was agreed upon and signed and they said they would contact me within the next few days to set up a date for the work to be done. After not hearing back from them for a week and a half, I called and they said they were working on a large job and they would reach out the following week. They did not call back. This went on for two months. Every week I would contact them, but the person in charge was always "out in the field" and would call me later - but they never did. Sparkk completely ghosted me, the signed contract, and the job without any explanation - the work was never done and no one would return my call. Subsequently, I contacted a different roofer who responded quickly and did a fantastic job at a reasonable rate. I would NOT recommend Sparkk Construction. read more

I also decided to hired them to replace my siding in a very specific dark charcoal color, to coordinate with my new roof and the brick front of my house. They covered the soffit and fascia, replaced my old small gutters with new larger ones and nice downspouts. They even replaced my shutters and re-roofed my shed to match the house!! We developed a leak in a flat roof designed to be an upstairs access deck on our 1970s home. The roof decking and older railings needed to be replaced and the water damage to the wall in our room below repaired. Every other roofing company I got quotes from wanted me to figure out the interior repairs on my own and would only subcontract the new railings. Sparkk Construction treated my requirement as their project and quoted me the entire scope of work because they are a full service contractor certified in roofing instead of a roofer who "doesn't do that". The result is I have two matching and usable deck areas with railing to modern code standards. Before the decks were covered with the white rubber roofing that isn't made for the heavy traffic and furniture of a deck. Now we can make them outdoor living spaces. Of course I got quotes. The only other company (a roofing company) who offered the same Dec-Tec surface quoted at least 50% higher without including the railing and water damage repairs. Sparkk Construction offers the same quality at better value. Finally, I found both Thomas, who did our estimate, and Oscar who was overall in charge of the project to both be very responsive, thorough and fair. All the on-site crew foremen were also easy to work with. I recommend Sparkk Construction for quality, value, and friendly service for a broad range of roofing and home construction and repair needs. I was looking for a reputable company to remove an old attic fan from our two-story home and to patch the hole in the roof. I submitted a request for estimates through yelp at around 11:00PM on Wednesday and received a response from Carlos at Sparkk Construction within 5 minutes. He provided a very reasonable fixed-price estimate and was prepared to begin work as early as 8AM the next morning. The weather forecast for the next two days included chances of rain though, so we both agreed that it would be best to wait until Saturday. Two workers from Sparkk Contruction, Ceaser and another man whose name I did not get, arrived within a few minutes of the scheduled time Saturday morning and went straight to work. It was obvious that they were knowledgable and experienced in doing this type of work and I could not be happier with the results. The repair was quick, the work area was thoroughly cleaned when the job was completed, and they kept me informed throughout the process. In addition, Ceasar touch up some trim paint on an unrelated area of the roof at no additional charge and he went out of his way to humanely relocate a baby squirrel found nested inside of the old attic fan. Prior to departing the job site, Ceaser took time to walk around the house with me and to explain all of the work they did, making sure I was 100% satisfied with their work. This was a very smooth and pleasant experience from the initial contact with Carlos through Yelp at almost midnight to job completion by Ceaser and his coworker, invoicing, and payment for services a few days later. TL:DR- Sparkk Construction does good work but overcharges literally twice the amount of competitors. I was given Sparkk Constructions card by my roof inspector when I made an insurance claim for hail damage. I had already received quotes from 2 other companies who just used drones to view the roof. Sparkk came and actually physically went on the roof and showed me pictures he took of physical damage. At this point I hadn't heard back from my insurance company yet so I very stupidly signed a contract with Sparkk, allowing them full access to my insurance company and claim. I also didn't realize that the contract stated if I canceled the contract and went with someone else that I would still owe Sparkk 30% of the total claim value, which made it impossible for me to even switch to another company at that point. I know, my mistake, but I was unfortunately awake for 28 hours when I met with Logan from Sparkk and I just wanted to go to sleep. Once the contract was signed, they stopped being as responsive since the deal was done until they were ready to finally do my job. After the work was done, they were semi responsive but mainly when they were calling to pick up checks. Sparkk ended up charging me and my insurance company $43k, which is $22k more than my lowest quote, and $19k more than my highest quote from other companies. I've since had 2 other companies tell me they would've charged me somewhere between $21-$26k as well. That being said, the work performed was done very, very fast (entire roof and other portions of the claim like ceiling damage done within 1 day). Who wants a new roof, paid for the insurance company?! This guy! Yup, I also was a little skeptical at first, I mean my roof is 22 years old! But I did lose a few shingles during the last wind storm and they told me they could get it approved to be covered by my insurance company. Turns out, they did it!!! Andrew, their estimator, did an incredible job getting this thing done! He communicated with my insurance company, met the adjusters and inspectors, and stayed on it during the process! I does take some time so be patient, and you will be rewarded with a free roof! Not only that, the quality of the work they perform is fantastic! On the day of the install, 100% covered by the insurance, I was so pleased with their crew! Oscar, one of the other estimators came out and supervised and did an amazing job! He has a sweet truck as well! Lol. Anyway, they were super respectful, made sure to clean everything up down to the very last nail, and left me 100% comfortable with a job well done! They even gave me a warranty for the workmanship should there ever be any issues in the future! They installed top of the line architectural shingles and special tar paper that is a serious upgrade to the shingles that I did have! We were fortunate enough to have friends recommend Sparkk Construction to us recently to replace our siding. It was a large project (2 stories, many angles) involving the removal of very old cedar siding, replacing it with new Certainteed house wrap, insulation, and vinyl siding. The crew was amazing! They were extremely professional, very skilled, very personable, and well-organized. They worked in complete harmony with one another, efficiently, which was amazing to see. In addition to being certified by the manufacturer on how to install the product, which they obviously knew how to do perfectly, they showed impressive carpentry skills when the removal of the old siding revealed areas of needed repair. We were in awe of their ability to quickly and expertly make the repairs. On top of this, managers Carlos and Oscar impressed us greatly with their attitudes. We truly believe they were as concerned with making sure our project was successful as we were. Their attention to detail and the high standards they set for themselves really set them apart from any other contractors we have ever used. Additionally, they were incredibly helpful when it came to working with another contractor whom we had hired to install motorized awnings on the outside of the house. Sparkk kindly coordinated with them and made sure the siding was in the correct condition for that installation (in the middle of their siding installation)! True professionals, and a delight to work with. The result was that the entire experience was just wonderful, and much easier on us than we expected. Carlos and Oscar are, in our opinions, the rock stars of the siding/roofing industry! While Sparkk construction was not the low cost bidder on the effort the professionalism in the work provided was impressive including many pictures of their work before, during and after the engagement which provided me confidence that the problem was solved. The total service they provided was far above other the other bidders and well worth the additional cost. Cheaper isn't better and the peace of mind they provided (along with a 10 year warranty!) makes me feel I made the right decision. I had a leak in my roof which is close to 30 years old and I'm interested in getting a new roof. I called 3 contractors to come out and take a look and of the 3 Sparkk Construction was the only one that came out, prepared with materials to sit down and discuss, which was extremely helpful. The representative I worked with, James Brown, was absolutely an awesome young man. He's prompt , time conscious and if running past the time he gave me, he would text to let me know how much longer it will take before he arrives. He is patient and very interested in making sure that I understood the materials that I was going to purchase and the quality of it. On the day of my roof replacement, they gave me a window of 6:50 am to 7:15 am for time of arrival and they arrived at 7:10 am. The workers were very pleasant very professional.
