I probably had 6 or 7 roofing companies out to my house to provide an estimate for a minor roof leak at the rear of my house. Pricing was all over the place from $760 to $1800. I didn't trust the proposals, and quite frankly some of the reps. Fortunately, I made one more call and met Ben Burnie. He has dozens of great reviews on Google and now I know why. Highly knowledgeable, trustworthy, helpful, great pricing and a flat out nice guy. He solves problems! Not only did he repair my roof leak at a far lower price, he took down a line of Christmas lights for me that were on my upper roof - so I didn't risk hurting myself - hauled away 3 heavy packs of old shingles the previous homeowner left us, and re-shingled my storage shed that was damaged by a falling branch - at no extra cost! Or, if you (and your spouse who they request be present (eye-roll)) would rather not sit through pointless powerpoint presentation about the history of those companies, just call Ben. When he comes out, he'll size up your roof, and then talk a bit about the work and product selections. He was the only one who figured out my roof has planking, not plywood. From the first handshake, Ben puts you at ease, and by the time he drives off you'll have complete confidence that he and his crew will do a great job. And do a great job they did. They tore off and replaced the roof on our small cape in a day. The result looks fabulous! The cleanup was thorough. It hasn't rained yet, but I have no worries that the roof and seams are anything but tight, and that we'll remain dry for years to come. Ben and his team are professional, kind, hardworking, and honest. Our home needed a full roof replacement and we received several quotes from companies in both Fairfax and Loudoun. Dulles Roofing came in as the most competitive quote, and Ben even spent some time going through his quote line-by-line so we understood exactly what was included. He was very patient with us when we requested an upgraded shingle and called several suppliers to try to get us what we asked for in a timeframe that worked for us (which he did!!). Dulles Roofing replaced the roof of my townhome in Reston and did a fantastic job. Before selecting a contractor, I got quotes from four roofing companies. Ben came to my house personally to examine my roof and gave me a quote that same day. His price was right in line with the most competitive quotes and he was very personable and honest--there was no pressure or sales pitch. Ben worked with me to find the right design and colors to satisfy my HOA requirement, responded to all of my questions within a day, was easy to talk to and always available to discuss changes or updates. On the day of the installation Ben's team arrived early and were very careful to cover the areas around my house with tarps and avoid sensitive plants.
