After a wind storm damaged my roof, I asked my general contractor for a referral. He recommended Dulles Roofing. Best referral ever; Dulles Roofing is most definitely a 5-star organization! The owner (Ben Burnie) is an experienced roofer and master carpenter. He has worked in his area of expertise over 25 years. In addition, he is knowledgeable, conscientious, thorough, polite, and one of the best businessmen I've encountered. Ben came out quickly to assess damage and install an emergency tarp. The tarp was installed so well, I never had to worry about rainfall damaging more of my home - in spite of the fact - it took me a long time to decide what to do. I could either repair the roof or have it replaced. I lost track of how many times Ben came out to re-inspect my emergency tarp and ensure my old roof was holding up. Prices quoted by Dulles Roofing are competitive, fair, and rational. Whenever I had a question or concern, Ben was prompt and concise, getting back to me quickly and giving me all the information I needed to make a sound, wise decision. When my HOA asked for an online application to be filled out, Ben quickly called me and we filled out the application together. When the HOA asked for pictures and more information before the application could be approved, he sent necessary documentation after midnight. When necessary, Ben literally works around the clock. He is worth his weight in gold, always on top of everything and ready with a quick, accurate response. The day prior to my roof being replaced, Ben called. I was told the materials would be delivered later that morning and what time his work crew would show up the next day. Everything was neatly stacked and secured either on my roof or in my backyard. My roof and skylight were replaced on a hot, humid, steamy day. The crew showed up promptly, covered the landscaping with protective tarps, functioned like a well-oiled machine, worked well together as a team, and afterwards cleaned up the area beautifully. I was slightly surprised it took over 9 hours to complete the job, as my roof is 700 square feet, but why question a team of professionals who know their craft so well? Ben explained the length of job depends upon how quickly the old shingles can be removed. At the end of the day, I could not have asked for anything more than the superb quality and excellent workmanship they provided. My new roof and skylight are stunning! The skylight was placed in the roof above my master bathroom. Now, it is so bright and light within my master bathroom. In the 19+ years I've owned this townhome, this is the second time the roof has been replaced; the room has never looked as good as it does at the present time. Roofing materials (and skylights) have changed and provide better insulation. My home is cooler and much quieter. Ben Burnie and his crew are wonderful! And would you believe it rained after the work was completed? Perfect timing, there's not a leak in sight! My HOA will be pleased with the way my townhome looks now. I've attached pictures so you can see how great it looks. If you want a job done right, take my advice and call Dulles Roofing - everything will be done to perfection. You won't be disappointed. read more

My experience with Dulles Roofing was straight forward, professional, clean, fast & efficient. I first found Ben on Homeadviser.com with multiple other roofing contractors. But what set Ben apart were all the other positive reviews. I contacted 5 separate highly rated local area companies recommended on Home adviser to request estimates for complete roof replacement on my home. Some sales reps came out only to take pictures and put together a "rough ballpark estimate" based on square footage and photos. Then some of these price quotes were completely outrageous, (more than a new car) and some with high pressure time share like sales tactics. One company even wanted over $1200 just to dispose of the old roofing materials and singles that were removed. I sent them ALL away. Then Ben came out and everything was completely different. Ben took the time to actually climb on my roof and personally inspect the main roof for soft spots, leaks, the garage roof, chimney, exhaust fan, and evey single Vent on the roof. Ben gave me a very reasonable estimate for the entire roof. All in price quote day1 , no guess work, no scams, and no hidden costs at the end. There were no delays to send the estimate, and no delays to schedule the work. Dulles Roofing was on site and working as soon as I wrote the deposit check to pay for materials. Ben is very friendly and nice to talk to. He also uses only GAF products, and provides workmanship warranty for several years. As a home owner I do not need to worry about it. I can Just call Ben directly for anything. The day of the roof replacement, The Dulles Roofing guys worked all day & into the evening, Two full days. Ben was here full time both days. His team was working in extreme cold & high winds. No work stoppages and no delays. Ben checked the work not only on the roof but also he went into the attic and the garage. They cleaned up everything on my property, and also all the neighbors yards. Windy days were quite a challenge for that part. You would never know they have been here. Dulles Roofing stayed late to make sure all my gutters were cleaned out and all my gutter covers were 100% replaced and professionally re-installed. I am very happy with Dulles Roofing and I highly recommend this company. I have already recommended Dulles Roofing to my neighbors and co-workers. You do not want to take the risk to hire a company to do your roof or siding without a workmanship warranty. You will be sorry if anything goes wrong after the replacement, because you will have to pay to someone fix the problem that should never have happened. With Dulles Roofing we don't need to worry about this. My reasons to recommend Dulles Roofing are the following: fast & responsive reasonable estimate no pressure to sign a contract only uses top rated materials and the GREAT WARRANTY! Call and ask Dulles Roofing about the warranty, you will be happy you did! read more

Review for Dulles Roofing and Ben, the lead roofer: I am extremely impressed with Dulles Roofing and Ben. From Susan to the entire team, they were exceptionally professional. They genuinely cared about doing the job correctly, arrived on time, and were thorough from start to finish. The work was completed in the highest quality manner using the best products available . The roof looks amazing and I feel safe. Ben provided excellent suggestions without employing a pushy sales approach. I was very impressed by the professionalism, quality of work, and the kind demeanor of Ben and the entire team. They were also very considerate of my dog and so kind to her . Ben will go above and beyond in ways that are remarkable . Additionally, their quotes are incredibly fair - beyond fair, actually. Yet, the work exceeds what you would expect from the most expensive roofers. And they are the best. We now consider them friends . If you are looking for a roofing team that will treat you well, use the best materials, and complete the job like professionals with a caring attitude and then deliver a superb product, Dulles Roofing with Ben leading the team is an excellent choice. I highly recommend them. read more

I was looking for a roofer that was an owner of his business, took pride in his craft, loved his work, cared for his crew and most importantly held a high standard for excellence with quality of workmanship and customer engagement. Ben and his crew are the life line of the business. They do the work. Ben is everything you want in a business owner - prompt, courteous, flexible and customer focused. His quotes are reasonable - not one of those high priced storm chasing subcontract out the work kinda business. He does all of this with a smile and a warm engaging personality. It's very obvious that he has been raised in the roofing business going back to his grandfather as the master roofer teaching the apprentice. Well done Ben, well done. I wish there were more business owners like you in the NOVA area. I also wish I came across your business a few years earlier as I would have been the loudest advertisement for you in the neighborhood as folks were being ripped off by the insurance seeking storm chasers. Anyone looking for a roofer should just work with Ben... Period! read more

We are so happy we chose Dulles Roofing to replace our townhome roof. Ben was honest and professional throughout the process. Not only did he give us the most reasonable solution for the humidity issues in our roof (installing an attic fan and correcting some venting issues), but he provided the fairest estimate and fastest turnaround time. We had an active leak in our roof that Ben even patched for us free of charge while we waited for our new installation to occur. Here's just one example of how amazing Ben and his team are: There was an issue with the delivery of our roofing materials and it threatened to delay the installation of our new roof. Normally this delay wouldn't be a problem, but we were about to get a major snowstorm and our old roof was in really bad shape. Ben actually drove all the way to Philadelphia the day before our scheduled installation to pick up the roofing materials himself so that our installation could happen on schedule. The job was completed in less than a day, and the snowstorm arrived the next morning. Our new roof held up great! read more

I was so impressed with company that it has prompted me to write my first Yelp Review. I was referred to Ben (owner) and Dulles Roofing from another satisfied neighbor so we included them on our short list to replace our roof and gutters. Ben was very prompt in providing a quote and more importantly took the time to explain the work to be completed along with recommendations for optional repairs along with the associated pro's and con's. An example is we had an existing power ventilator and opted to remove that and go with a ridge vent. The ridge vent was frankly more work for them but was done at no additional cost. I also appreciated the fact there was no "nickle and diming" on the costs like some others do. Example here is we needed to reroute a fan to exhaust thru the roof which was done at no additional cost. Finally is the "post sale attention" was equally prompt and thorough as we needed some slight modifications to our new gutters which was taken care of within 2 days. So YES, overall I would highly recommend Ben and his team at Dulles Roofing!! read more

October 2022. If/when you need a new roof, call DULLES ROOFING! They check all the 5-STAR boxes: excellent customer care, high-quality product and selections, excellent communications, helpful guidance and knowledge, extremely competitive price-wise, and a full crew who show up on time, ready to go, respectful and kind, complete the big project the same day, and clean up the yard and surrounding areas, beautifully. Ben, the owner, is a gem. He's so helpful, a great listener, and checks in often, making sure to answer any questions, so that you're confident in the process and planning. He's on-site throughout the day of the project, checking in, checking things out, etc. He is exceptional, respectful and kind, and someone you'll refer to as "friend" once you meet. Susan, in the front-office is a joy to work with, too. Don't do anything on your roof until you call Dulles Roofing. Trust me, you will have an amazing experience. Maureen D. read more

I could not be happier with how it worked out with Ben and his company to get my roof replaced. Ben was easy to talk to and clearly seems like an honest guy (even my dog liked him and that isn't the case with a lot of people). He was very quick to respond to questions I had over email, and Susan was very polite when I called to schedule the initial appointment too. While I went with Dulles Roofing for these reasons, it was an added bonus that his quote was lower than the other four companies I got quotes from for the same Certainteed roofing system. Finally, he helped me get my siding, soffits, and gutters done at a very fair price. Ben was physically there for every step of the process and his crew did a great job installing the roof and cleaning up afterwards. I highly recommend working with Dulles Roofing and will be recommending them to friends and family! read more

Last month we realized we needed to replace our roof. I had 6 roofing companies come out and give me a quote. Dulles Roofing came back the most affordable while including a high quality architectural shingle and replacement of our original skylights. Ben Burnie was so refreshing to work with. His customer service is top notch. I emailed and texted him several times during the process with questions and/or requests and he promptly responded. We were unhappy with the way a portion of the roof looked so he came back and replaced the shingles - no questions asked. He came back several times after the job was complete to make sure there was no trash/nails left behind or other issues. I highly recommend Dulles Roofing for quality workmanship, affordability, and excellent customer service. read more

I couldn't be happier with Ben (owner) and the Dulles Roofing crew (Darwin was an awesome foreman). They were incredibly responsive, honest, and professional. We had 6 estimates for architectural shingles and Dulles Roofing was the lowest. We also discussed various roofing and ventilation options for our 1953 home and Ben provided scientific resources and websites to justify his recommendations. He told us what was not necessary or even harmful for our situation (which other companies insisted on doing). We were able to verify all of his recommendations. This proved to us that Ben cares more about doing a great job than making maximum profit. I highly recommend Dulles Roofing and wish them much business and success. They are genuinely good people who want to do right by their customers! read more

A rarity in this world, Dulles Roofing could not have done a better job. Right from the start, Susan set a friendly tone while making the appointment. Next, the owner himself, Ben, came out to do the estimate. Immediately, you could tell he was different from all the others, in only the best way possible. He quickly and effortlessly made me feel comfortable and confident in his knowledge and skills. He then promised an excellent job at an incredible price, and delivered exactly that. So often, the result does not live up to the promise but in the case of Dulles Roofing, they met that promise in spades. I wish I had more roofs for them to do as I would hire them again and again. Thanks for the great experience! You have set an amazingly high bar. read more

We called around to a few Roofing companies to handle some minor repairs. When I called Dulles Roofing, I found myself speaking to the owner, Ben, who was professional, empathetic, and clear. I immediately was in a good spot as I found someone who seemed trustworthy. Within 24 hrs Ben and I met to go over the work, and within the next 24 hrs Ben quoted the work and found matching shingles (in Richmond) to support the work. A few days later, Ben and crew are on the roof, doing their thing, and I'm completely at ease knowing the work is being completed by a team that cares. I don't write many reviews. But I'm writing one for Dulles Roofing as I found a team that I'll call again for any work related to our roof. You should give them a call. read more

Dulles Roofing completed the job of replacing the roof on our home in Great Falls in Oct, 2023. I can't say enough good things about Dulles Roofing and its owner, Ben Burnie. Ben was very thorough in inspecting the roof and preparing his estimate, the bid was competitive, the removal of old shingles and replacement of damaged plywood sheets and the installation of the new roof was done in a first class manner. And it was done in one day. Ben even stayed late (finished around 7 pm) to complete the installation of two new skylights and installing and painting the interior trim. Ben and his experienced crew were skillful, considerate and very professional. Go with Ben! read more

September 2022 Dulles Roofing replaced our home roof. It is a large single-family home, and they did a flawless job. Ben, the owner, and Susan in the front office were fantastic to work with. They provided excellent communications, showed up on time, performed the work as contracted and thoroughly cleaned up. While they were not the lowest price, they provided a fair and reasonable price and what we considered to be the best value. We would hire them for any future roofing project and highly recommend them. Dulles Roofing provides the highest quality product/service. They even provided cool drone pictures after the work was complete and exceeded our expectations. read more

Ben went the extra mile during my roof estimate by taking the time to explain all my options and help choose what was best for my house. He even climbed into my attic to see how my insulation was configured so that we could determine the best way ensure air circulation through the soffits and ridge vent. The contract clearly laid out all the specific tasks to be performed, was fully transparent about costs, and was easy to sign via DocuSign. Ben and his crew showed up on time and were able to replace my entire roof within one day. They also installed new ventilation fans in my attic, painted any vent pipes to match the new roof color and left my lot spotless. read more

I had a great experience with this roofing service. They arrived right on time at 7 am and completed the job efficiently and professionally. They cleaned up thoroughly at the end of the job. The quality of their work was excellent, and the shingles they used are very high quality CertainTeed Landmark Pro. Their pricing was also very competitive, especially considering the level of service and materials provided. Ben, the owner, was great at checking in periodically and answering questions. I would definitely recommend Dulles Roofing to anyone in need of reliable, high-quality roofing work! read more

My co-worker suggested we contact Dulles Roofing as they've recently done a good job for them. I reached out to the company and had the pleasure of speaking to the owner, Ben. Ben made an appointment, gave me a quote, and started work the next morning ! I can't believe how efficient they were! Note, we had to replace the ENTIRE roof as our roof was the original roof from the early 1980's. - fast and efficient service - very reliable and prompt - excellent customer service (tells you their honest opinion with pros and cons) - reasonable price for quality work read more

Ben and his team recently replaced the roof on my townhome and did an outstanding job. Out of the 4 other contractors I received quotes from Ben not only provided a competitive bid, but had the best communication. He was responsive in answering all my questions and took the time to inspect the roof from the outside and in the attic. Furthermore I felt that Ben and his entire crew treated my job with honesty and integrity, they also stand by their work with a great workmanship guarantee. I wouldn't hesitate to use Dulles Roofing again in the future. read more
