Alex and his guys did a fantastic job putting up a privacy fence. I wanted a 6ft high wooden fence, about 75 ft long. I asked five people to give their assessments and quotes. One (W&M Services) gave a quote of 6k, outrageous. Another (ES Deck Construction) gave a quote of 3k but was horrible at communicating. I ended with Alex and his team at 3300. Alex was very professional and responsive. I was a bit hesitant with the required 30% deposit prior to the job starting since there are so many scammers out there nowadays but rest assured, you are in good hands with Alex. On the first day, they arrived on time and started working immediately, demolishing the existing fence and installing posts. The second day, they installed the picket pieces and everything else. One slight inconvenience is that the guys on the job only speak Russian so it was difficult communicating with them. I've always been good at pictionary but even here, it was a struggle. By the end of the job, the yard was clean of debris and had a beautiful fence that both my neighbor and I can enjoy! They also provide a two year warranty! read more

Last July 2020, we had Deck and Restoration replace our fence on two sides, the back and the right side (we live in a townhouse). They were the most responsive and were reasonably priced. Alex was very communicative with my husband and he was willing to come out for an in-person estimate in the middle of COVID, when another company refused. They offered a 2 year warranty on our fence. It took about two days of steady work for them to tear down, haul away, and put up our new fence. We made sure to stain it with a clear coat to protect it and one year later, it still looks great. Alex is a criminal. He promised to repair my fence but, instead replaced one post and nailed in a couple screws and charged me $950. He asked I pay cash upfront because he's a scam artist and he was planning to rip me off. Alex didn't do any of the work but rather left his one worker at my home for 2 hours to do nothing. They didn't stain the fence or replace any of the rotted wood. My HOA didn't approve the repair and agreed Alex robbed me. Do yourself a favor and find anyone else to repair your fence. I'm going to be taking Alex to court for failing to repair my fence as agreed upon. Deck and Restorations has poor communication skills. They are not reliable to come when they promise. They promise fix rate quotes, but change more than the estimate. The work turned out well, but not worth the hassle it took to get there. I noticed they refinished hardwood floors. It's summer time and we are ready to hang out on our deck for memorial day weekend. Unfortunately, the previous winter season caused havoc to our wood deck. I had some normal wear and tear on a 25 year old deck and got about 3 or 4 estimates on the repairs. Alex was on the higher end of the estimates, but only slightly. I went with them because they had nothing but positive customer feedback and they were the most responsive of all the other contractors. As it turned out, I made a great decision. It's rare that I give five stars to a contractor, but it's rare to encounter a contractor who checks ~all~ of my boxes. Alex responded very quickly to each and every message. He readily agreed to my two requests when I signed the contract: a) work begins within 30 days of deposit and b) he would give me a 48 hour head's up "hard start" date so I could notify neighbors of the fence replacement. The workers showed up exactly as expected and worked diligently, taking time to get it right. All trash was collected each day, leaving the site free of debris and looking good. Care was taken to align the new fence posts perfectly on my sloping hill, and after a section was completed the workers went back and brushed out the soil - something I consider above and beyond. They were gentle with the shrubbery around the work area and nothing was damaged. When there was concern over a tree near the fence line, Alex asked if we could cut it down. When I said no he didn't argue, just adjusted as needed and made it work. The crew also didn't complain when they encountered an unexpected issue with some existing concrete that had to be excavated. They stacked a few leftover panels under my deck in case of replacements and left my yard looking great. The final result (replacing a rotted wooden privacy fence with a white vinyl one) is outstanding and neighbors are already asking for contact information to replace their fences. The price was perfectly reasonable and very fair market value. I would not only hire this company again but have already requested a quote for another project. read more
