We debated due to the cost on doing a back porch for over 7 years. Finally after meeting Tim O'Neill we decided to move forward with a porch. Tim gives you an estimate and a drawing of what your porch will look like. We went to another client's house and saw her porch......we were sold! We chose an 18'x17' porch with a bump out for a grill. Black trimmed Sunspace windows so we can basically use the porch all year long. We also chose aluminum balusters instead of wood and you can see out so much better. He requires 15% down, then 40%, 35%, and the final payment 48 hrs after the job is complete. He puts the time frame of the payments in his proposal. Check or cash only John the lead Carpenter is a perfectionist and so is his other carpenter, Josh. They are pleasant, professional, and willing to answer any questions. They work extremely hard to build you a beautiful porch. They are amazing! Tim will suggest what will look good and basically designs your porch. You choose your sconces, ceiling fan, and outdoor motion detector light. He gives you parameters for all of them. You also have another expense of having all the interior wood sanded, stained, and sealed. If I could be his spokesperson on porches I would! I can't stress enough how beautifully built my porch is. We could not be more pleased with the screen porch Tim O'Neill designed and his Northern Deckworks team, led by John, built. Both functional and beautiful, Tim's design is perfect for us. We opted for the EZ Breeze window system and a gas fireplace. This will enable us to enjoy our porch nearly year-round. As part of the project, we also replaced our front walkway and steps and back steps and patio with flagstones. Tim and the masonry crew solved a drainage problem that had plagued us for years. 25 Years ago we had Northern Deck Works build a beautiful Covered Screened in Porch/Deck onto our new home, this was the finest structure I've ever seen. We recently wanted to put on a screened in porch to replace our current deck. We reached out to multiple companies and had three or four give us quotes. We are very impressed by the professionalism, drawings and detail provided by Tim, the owner. So, an Englishman and an Irishman were sitting in a bar! Sounds like a corny joke, right? Well this ended very differently. I met Tim while having a beer at a local brewery and we got talking about work, as you do. The next thing I know I'm signing a contract to convert my screened porch into a sunroom (did I mention Tim is a good salesman?). Northern Deck Works owned by Tim O'Neill does absolutely beautiful work. The 3 season room and the new deck are stunning. The quality and craftsmanship were second to none. The main crew of John and Jason worked diligently through the brutal temperatures and snow of December and January. Tim made frequent visits to the site to see how things were going. The timing and delivery of materials and services were nearly seamless. Lumber and concrete were there when needed. The electrician was there when the structure was ready for him. It was a large project overall made even more challenging with the snow and cold. Northern Deck Works will not be the cheapest deck and porch builder but you can rely on the quality.
