They did not try to enlarge the project beyond my requested size and needs, and they handled all the permits, inspections, and such. They brought down my grill and fire pit from the old deck, removed and disposed of my old picnic table and umbrella at no extra charge, and brought the grill and fire pit back up when the deck was done. The new deck is beautiful: Trex Transcends composite decking in Tiki Torch with a black railing and Tiki Torch cocktail rail, matching 52" wide steps with lights as required by code, and sturdy wood frame below the deck. They started sooner than required in the contract, and while the build took on the longer side due to the July heat, they finished before the contract start date. Many neighbors have admired the deck and even expressed jealousy. I would recommend Pro Deck Installers to anyone.

I usually do the design for all house projects, but Pro Deck (Gerry) came up with a super elegant design for me and he also actually came up with the best design out of all, while three of the other contractors either ignored or forgot my requirements and gave a single quote or partial quotes for 3-4 options discussed. Gerry is meticulous with the quote he provided, and the details were relevant in comparison to the others I received. ProDeck Installers will work with you to address your HOA headaches and shenanigans, which I had with offset measurements and approvals, etc and will do the work for the county permit. One of the other contractors that gave the lowest quote said to me "you don't need a permit" - beware! Pro Deck Installers' price is very competitive, but for the quality of the materials I was getting, it was really the best deal. As for the work getting done, again quality and timeliness was top notch. Tony and their guys are very efficient, professional and they care about the work they do. For so long I put off getting a new deck because of all the hassle that comes with it, but the experience I had with them really exceeded my expectations. The ProDeck Installers team is just truly genuine and honest in how they do business and I'm grateful for them.

Unfortunately, this is the worst final product that we have experienced in our years of dealing with various home contractors. We hired NoVA Paving to replace our crumbling slate walkway with new pavers. We have undergone many home improvement projects over the years and have had mostly good experiences, but this was anything but. Instead of taking the proper time and effort to establish a deeper foundation, NoVA Paving used our existing, very shallow foundation. This left the pavers lifted from the adjacent driveway, sidewalk and grass. To keep it in place they placed slipshod concrete wherever it would have otherwise immediately crumbled. After the job, they told us that using the existing foundation "saved us money" and that we have no issue. As seen in pictures: * Multiple areas of pavers coming loose after the installation. * The entirety of some pavers are exposed with hollow spaces underneath. * Because they never established a proper foundation to even out the pavers with the sidewalk, they had to dump a slab of concrete where pavers should have been placed. The worst part was that they did not even tell us about the concrete until AFTER the job was completed. * Concrete securing the pavers in other areas has a terrible aesthetic. * We were charged $700 extra to haul away the old slate - which was not discussed beforehand or included in quote. When we told Mark about the problems, we got the run around for a month before they finally sent a foreman out to investigate. This was when we were told that there was nothing that could be done about the shallow foundation without a complete re-do of the entire job. We then asked for a partial refund and were told by Nova Paving to just take some dirt and put it up against the sides of the pavers, and that we did not have an issue.

These guys replaced my driveway last Winter, and large parts of it are already failing. I asked…read morethem to fix it under their 1-year warranty and they refused, citing "base failure" as something that is not covered under their warranty. My fault for not reviewing the warranty more carefully and making them remove base failure. But I warn anyone who does business with these guys that they are do not do high quality work, nor do they stand by their work. If you do decide to work with them, read their warranty very carefully. The warranty is filled with typos and contradictions; best to make sure you understand everything that is in the warranty if you decide to work with these guys, and don't let them put broad, non-descript exclusions in there such as "base failure". I posted some photos below of their shoddy work. This work was done less than 9 months ago. Even if you have to pay a bit more for another contractor, it is worth it based on my experience. Poor work and zero accountability - not a good combo!!

He then finally showed 2 days later with 2 workers and asked me to borrow a ladder since he forgot his. Workers wouldn't show until 12pm and sometime they wouldn't show up until 2pm. There were days they didn't even show up. The workers were not clean or organized. They never cleaned up the site after they were done. Fast forward to completion of the project. It looks like crap. The gutter leaks and the workers butchered the soffits. Oscar said he would fix it but would never show up. He promised me that they will be out on Monday 10/24. They never showed up and no phone call. no response from Oscar. I reached out to Oscar this morning and he said he was sorry. I told him I am going to hire someone to fix it and hold him responsible for the payment. His responses was "sorry, I'll pay! I asked him does this mean your not going to fix it. No response. So I'm forced to go to yelp and complain. This was my wife's project that she wanted done. Unfortunately, she passed before she got a chance to have it done. I spent a year looking for the right contractor. This is the only time I have ever had an issue with a contractor. I'm not big on complaining but this company is horrible. I will mot recommend OG construction. I have plenty of pictures, texts and emails to prove that OG construction is a horrible company

When a storm damaged my front porch last winter, I contacted Phoenix. They exceeded my expectations. Now, Phoenix is the only company I will use, period. It is that simple. From the start, they were extremely professional and thorough. They provided design drawings to help me visualize, and were very attentive with exceptional communication ever step of the way. Clint, is amazing. I'm not sure if he ever sleeps or has a personal life, but I could contact him with questions on the project any time of day / any day of the week and he'd respond quickly. Still, It was the whole team that made my home and I feel valued. A++ company.

There was no upselling, and they actually suggested against some additional options we had initially been interested in. The process started in March and was completed in September on time, on budget and according to plan. Work days were sunny and mostly dry, so there were no weather delays. At the start, Daren provided great info and listened carefully to our requests. Todd guided us through the planning process and helped us select materials. Next Kim, the project manager kept all the steps coordinated by email and responded to our many questions. On site, Ben the crew chief ensured that the porch was beautifully crafted. We have an old house with non-standard dimensions, which were all accommodated. The work crews stayed on site throughout with no gaps and worked with intensity. We have a large yard, but it is full of trees, bushes and flower pots. The work crew managed to squeeze in all their tools and materials to get things done. Materials are of great quality, ordered exactly to the need, with little waste and an eye to ecology. The great subcontractors included the electricians, a handyman who took care of pre-construction items like the hose bib, and the roofer/gutter team. They all showed up on time and completed their part quickly. Finally, the patio was put together by Colin and Luis in two days. Laura carefully coordinated all the online billing. CORE was upfront about extra costs including a required county survey, power upgrade for the heaters, and a patio foundation. CORE has a distinctive porch style and an efficient operating method. They work with you to meet your project needs with their style. What appears on their web page appears in reality.
