I first hired Malaga Landscape to build stone steps down a steep section of my yard. Ricardo recommended a great material and tied in the steps to the existing landscaping with new plants and mulch. While he was working, I extended the job to include an additional mulched area under a new trampoline, which he did without issue or extending the timeline. All of the work was great quality, and I was very happy with the price. Since he did such a good job and came in under budget, I called him back a few weeks later to build a ground level deck off of a backyard shed. Again, Ricardo was very easy to work with, and planning out the design felt like a natural dialog. When my wife saw the footprint of the deck in progress, she asked for a couple of changes, and Ricardo was able to accommodate without changing the timeline or the budget. All in all, Mr Malaga Landscape was a great find, and I know I've got a contractor I can rely on for any future outdoor construction. read more

Ricardo and his team did a wonderful job building our patio and retaining walls. Unfortunately, one of the retaining walls started shifting and the patio was shifting apart. Ricardo eventually came out and rebuilt the wall so the patio started shifting. We are now seeing the patio shifting completely again and the fire pit literally broken in two pieces. It is very disheartening as Ricardo refuses to return our calls and emails trying to get the patio fixed it was a very expensive project for us and we are just brokenhearted that it is all coming apart. read more

Mr. Malaga installed a retaining wall and patio for us and it failed almost immediately. They had to reconstruct it once and it is now failing again. They will not return phone calls and have lied to us about returning on many occasions. Do not use this company. I wish I could give them zero stars. read more

My walkway was becoming crooked and separating. Malaga landscape replaced 2 steps of concrete. Their quote was much less than other businesses. Everything was finished in a day and came out looking good. Would absolutely use again. read more

Ricardo and his crew did an amazing job on our townhouse backyard paver rebuild. Though he was not the lowest quote we received my husband liked his the best. His quote was detailed and it was clear there would be no need for add ons or extras later. Ricardo stopped by several times to check on the work. The crew left our yard cleaner than when they arrived. Ricardo is friendly and easy to work with. read more

I would greatly recommend Mr. Malaga Landscape, LLC. The owner, Ricardo, is responsive, reliable, and runs a great company that prides itself on good quality work! We moved into our new house in the late fall and were unaware of the horrible grass that our new house had until the Spring when no grass grew. I called different landscaping companies to get different estimates, and Mr. Malaga Landscape (Ricardo) offered one of the best deals. I was impressed by pictures of Ricardo's past work and his great communication so we decided to go with his company. We were not disappointed! Ricardo and his staff did an awesome job! They took out all the old, bad grass and added new sod. I appreciated the detail that they took such as adding fertilizer to the ground before putting the sod so it can grow better. Additionally, Ricardo and his team added a beautiful stone wall along our front pathway and prepared it for us to add plants. After completing the work, he powered washed our pathway and driveway, which we appreciated. Ricardo communicated with us throughout the whole process and answered all of our questions, even when I would message him at night time (thanks Ricardo!) We appreciated his team's hard work and are very happy with the end result. We now love our front yard! read more

Prior to starting this project, I researched different contractors online and met with three companies for a driveway project. I'm glad I chose Mr. Malaga Landscape. One thing I really appreciated about Ricardo was his ability to share different options and ideas when doing the walk through. I had a rough idea of what I was looking for but Ricardo took the time to explain different options and drew up plans to help me visualize the final product. He was realistic about the start date and timeline, he and his team always showed up on time, and Ricardo was communicative about the progress being made every step of the way. His team was hardworking and mindful of the space. At the end of the day everything was put away or moved to the side. I was also really happy with their tree trimming services. They do it all! I highly recommend Ricardo and his team and would be happy to hire them again in the future. read more

They just completed a driveway extension for us. Quick and quality work with reasonable price. Highly recommended.

BLUF: If they can't even make it out of communicate about an appointment for a quote TWICE, I have zero faith in their ability to show up for actual paid work. I can't speak for their landscaping ability because getting them to come out for a quote is impossible. I messaged them through Yelp and they responded a few days later. I scheduled the first quote meeting for 4:30 pm on a Wednesday. Wednesday comes, and I message them to confirm the appointment, but no one responds. 4:30 pm comes and goes. No nothing. Later that evening, someone finally responds that their truck broke down. Okay, I get that things comes up, but if I were running a business, I would call all the pending customers first thing to cancel. However, I give them the benefit of the doubt and reschedule for today (Tuesday) at 12. I messaged them at 12:15 today to see if someone was coming. No response. It's now 3:20 pm and I haven't heard a word from them. Absolutely unprofessional and inconsiderate. 0/10 would not recommend. I've attached screenshots for proof. read more

Miguel gave me a written estimate for the work. Workers showed up on time, all wearing masks. Unexpectedly they hit several big pieces of stump that added hours to the job to remove. Very good quality sod. They dug up a portion of the driveway that was cracked and replaced it with a drain. At my request used the red pavers and white stone for walk ways. Very happy with the results. He's giving me estimates on two other jobs. read more

This man has 26 (now 27) reviews and around 5 of those are 1s. You shouldn't have any ones with that amount of reviews. And your 1s are consistent complaints which speaks to your lack of credibility. I, too, reached out to get a quote and sent a picture of what was needed. Needless to say, he responded once but didn't respond again, after that. I'm not sure he understands how things work but I can assure he will not be in business long. read more

We hired Ricardo and his team to redo the stone tiles on our front steps and walkways. We also installed new railings on the front steps. I would like to recommend Mr. Malaga Landscaping, Inc. We used Mr. Malaga to overhaul our side and backyard in Warwick Village. A brief list of services rendered by Mr Malaga include Pavers, extended back fence line, new fence, garden boxes, tree service, lighting and electrical and finally a glass block window. We interviewed 5 companies all from Yelp and not only being the quickest to survey and provide estimate(s), Ricardo is a great guy along with his team of workers. I hear he is also a drywaller / and painter and I will have them provide finishing touch to our basement walk out once finished. He is very fair, hard working, and genuine. I recommend giving them a try. read more

HORRIBLE customer service! Avoid for your own mental well-being, please. Here's my experience Staff appeared nice initially and showed up to give me a quote that seemed fair. He said yes to basically everything I asked him in person and over text. However, when it came to confirmation details for signing a contract, he just backed off denying what had been agreed upon and, even worse, BLAMED THE CUSTOMER for "ASKING TOO MANY QUESTIONS". That is the most ridiculous service I've ever received. read more

I first dealt with Mr. Malaga at the end of summer season 2019 for mowing. I had used several other lawn services, most of whom I was not satisfied with. I decided to call Mr. Malaga to start off this season. I am very pleased with the work and detail he put into cutting the lawn, trimming the shrubbery, edging, mulching, cleaning the garden beds, etc. His attention to detail and the time he spent on my property shows. I will definitely recommend him to others without hesitation and continue my utilization of his services. read more

If you are looking for a legit landscaper, these guys are it. I needed work done on my front yard and patio. They did it exactly how I asked. Any requests I made were always answered with an enthusiastic "yes, we can do it!". They really went above and beyond what I paid them to do. They even offered to seed bare areas in front of my yard. I didn't want them to because that area is the HOA's responsibility but they said if I changed my mind they would come back to do it for free. They worked hard through the rain and freezing cold. No complaints. They kept me informed throughout the whole job and made great suggestions at the appropriate time. 110% recommend these guys. They are totally worth their quote and more.
