Stopped in here on a whim with some coworkers. I'm usually not one to ever go to Italian restaurants because they are just so dang expensive. Why is it that Italian food is so dang expensive?? Anyway, we ended up getting a number of appetizers and entrees to share amongst us. I ended up getting two appetizers (which together were still cheaper than most of the entrees). I got the fried hot peppers and the buffalo chicken dip. The fried hot pepper were really disappointing. I guess I thought they would be breaded like jalapeno poppers but instead they were just fried in a ton of oil. I wasn't really happy with them at all. On the other hand, the buffalo chicken dip was INCREDIBLE! I would definitely go back to this place just for that dip. It came with little bread rounds and was very cheesy. The flavor was just magnificent. The entrees that I tried were just fine. Nothing really blew me away for as expensive as they were but I guess that's pretty typical for Italian places and I frankly am just not the biggest fan of Italian food. I have lived in this area for 60 years. I wanted to experience a different neighborhood restaurant so decided to try here. Reviews were good so... Went on a Tuesday night and we were the only one's in the place. Not a good sign. In fact, there was not ONE other person seated after us for the hour and a half we were there. Ordered a mixed drink and it was GREAT! No skimping on the alcohol here. How many places do you go to where you order a mix drink and you pay $8 and you feel like they forgot the alcohol! Here they know how to make a drink and it was only $4.50!!! Unfortunately the rest of the dinner was a disappointment. I was amazed at the amount of appetizers that were on the menu. HUGE! And then the menu itself is overwhelming with choices, especially seafood. But surprised to see that for an Italian restaurant the # of pasta dishes is limited. I ordered the calamari saute'. Here you get a choice of fried or saute'd. Was disappointed. It was swimming in gravy that over-powered the delicate flavor of the calamari. Then ordered the Alfredo Fettuccine with blackened chicken. To my dismay I HAD TO SEND IT BACK. It was so salty it was unbearable. I was then told that blackened chicken is usually very salty.... Really!!! NO. I noticed that the people in the kitchen seemed to be all in the early 20's. There is NO way they know what they are doing. Maybe because of a Tuesday being an off night they have them in there but it was just bad. I will try once again on a Friday night when MAYBE the head chef is there. But I was unimpressed. Shame since I was hoping for a new neighborhood experience. Here's the kicker... I was with one other person and we had drinks, appetizer and ONE dinner since I sent mine back, and the bill still came to $67.00. read more

Sadly, a disappointing dining experience. The service was fast and friendly, but the food was less than stellar. That said, I must admit that having grown up in NYC, I'm very hard to please when it comes to certain cuisines, Italian being one of them. The Italian Style Baked Clams and the fried mozarella appetizers were tasty, but a tad on the salty side. As for the entrees, the wife enjoyed her Flounder Francesco; wish I could say the same for my choices. The Veal Parmigiana was dry, burnt on the edges and had a lingering old oil aftertaste. The meatballs, while homemade, were quite dense and a little too dry. The spaghetti was mush -- seriously, I've had SpaghettiOs that were more al dente -- and the gravy was overly watery (a cardinal sin, IMHO) and relatively tasteless. I usually give a place 2 chances. Hopefully next time will be better. read more

We go here on a frequent basis in the warmer months because I love to sit outside. The food has been mediocre at best over the past five years. When the owner stopped supervising the kitchen the food went downhill. I had the worst pasta I have ever eaten in my life the other night. No flavor and overcooked seafood the consistency of rubber. I was sorry I didn't go to Olive Garden!!!! I had to put so much salt on my food that I couldn't get my ring off when I got home. Approached the owner and got a less than good response from her. She used to care. Now all she wants to do is socialize at the bar. We will never go back. The service was slow too. read more

For dhill/ cliffton heights this place isnt bad, the tiki bar is cool, if ur single and looking for girls, wouldnt recommend, but cheap and decent atmosphere. read more

I went here after a friends graduation and the service was horrific. There was maybe 6 other tables there yet it took over an hour for us to receive our food. Our server never came around to check on us - at one point we even wondered if they had forgotten about us! The food there is always great but this particular server made the whole experience terrible. read more

Probably will not go back. The server looked at us like we we're crazy when we asked what the specials were. Also, the eggplant was rubbery.

Ordered ahead for takeout, without a doubt the best Veal Parm I have ever had. Staff very welcoming and friendly, just like old school Italian moms who make you feel special. Highly recommended read more

First time there and it was very good. Our apps were fried calamari w/marinara, perogis with sauerkraut and shrimp & crab cocktail. All were excellent. The dinner salads are good and excellent blue cheese dressing! The noccis (misspelled) with sausage were okay; the fettuccine Alfredo w/blackened chicken was excellent and the crab cake with a side of pasta tasty. The crab cake was a very large portion. Definitely would go back. Really enjoyed the atmosphere inside. read more

Went for the first time and the food was great. Not excellent but great for me excellent is the top of the class. As for the service it wasn't good our waitress was very nice but it just seemed she forgot that we were there. From the start it took her a while for get to us around 10 minutes, there were specials that we heard the other servers going over but our server didn't do that. For that this place will get an OK rating but we will go back again and the rating stars could change. read more

Romarco's is a great place. I love the Tiki Bar in the summer especially when they have entertainment. Makes for a nice relaxing afternoon. The menu offers a little of everything. Never a bad meal. All of the staff is very accomodating. read more

We heard about the place from a friend. We asked friends of ours to go with us. Parking was ok. we were seated on the porch even though there were tables inside. We were greeted by our waitress who took our drink orders. We then gave our entree orders. That was the last time we saw our waitress until the check arrived. Prime rib special was fatty. Veal parm cheese came out stringy and the food was luke warm, Mussels with linguine originally came out as an appetizer and was turned into an entree. We're from Canada and visited this restaurant a month ago........first time for myself and my friend who lives 10 minutes away from this place and didn't know about it. Awesome is all we can say. Best steak I've ever had. Great food, great service, parking a little sketchy but we found a spot. Loved it. Going back again this Friday. Can hardly wait. read more

Came here for take out, and it wasn't that great. My penne romarco had delicious sauce, but canned mushrooms and almost no shrimp? Come on. My boy's manicotti was flavorless, except for the tomato sauce, which was terrible. The fried pierogies were good, but not great. I do think the entrees are overpriced, but not so high that I wouldn't pay it again for quality food. I don't know that we'll go back. read more

We have eaten here three or four times and never had a really positive experience, although we gave them multiple tries, hoping for better. You definitely get the sense that there are "regulars" that are well taken care of. If you are not one of them, you receive lackadaisical service, at best. Your beverages will never be refilled, it will take a long time for food to arrive, and no one will ever check back to see if things are okay. On the most recent occasion my food was inedible. The sauce had a almost chemical taste, as if cleaning fluid had gotten into it. When we pointed this out to the sever, she did not seem to care. She took the dish away and that was it. No one offered to remove it from the bill, and a manager never came to speak with us. There are plenty of places to get better Italian food, and decent service, at lease. read more

Our favorite place to eat. The whole family goes for almost all special occasions. The food is delicious - I especially recommend the chicken demare or pasta romarco if you like seafood. This is the third time we've been to Romarco's and it will be our last. Each time the service was miserable but had decided to give it another chance. The food is just average and a bit pricey for what you get - bland flavors, boring presentation. The pizza that was advertised as "crispy crust" was anything but. The Caesar salad was tasty and large enough to share. Pasta entree was good but nothing special. For us it was about the (lack of) service (again). We sat at the table before for 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. After our food was delivered, the waitress never checked back to see if everything was satisfactory. She never asked if I wanted a second glass of wine, and it was nearly the end of the meal before I got a glass of water. You got the sense they just didn't care. read more

My wife and I went there for dinner last night. We had been there a few times and always had a good experience. Last night was not. Our waitress, Kelly did not tell us the specials or anything else. Our salads came out before the appetizers. I ordered clams and they delivered mussels then corrected it. I watched my wife eat her appetizer and when my clams came out, she watched me eat that. My veal parmigiana was overcooked and hers was greasy. I ordered an iced tea and 2 refills and got charged for 3. When I asked the waitress to take off the other 2 at $2.50 a pop, she basically blew me off, so it took it out of her tip. Not a good experience, We will not go back - - ever. Thank God we didn't take any guests. It is the first time tat I ever left comments on the bill that I signed. read more

You might not think this but, in my mind, Romarcos has the belt for Delco's best cheesesteak. They also have great filets. Seafoods always fresh and owners are very friendly. read more

This restaurant has become one of the 'go-to' places in our family for events. (birthdays, etc) The food is always fantastic but it is the staff and atmosphere that make this place a stand-out. If you can get past the somewhat sketchy neighborhood - this is a hidden gem with great cuisine, great service and personable ownership who are present on site and visit table to table. This was a favorite of myself & my friends until recently. We had dinner there recently & it was not the same good food that we were used to. I'm not sure if they changed chefs or what. We ordered the Italian fries & they were not the same, the cheese was not even melted on top. The cheese sampler was not the same. I ordered the Veal Parm, which I love & order every time we go, it was tough & chewy & the gravy was not good. I had the angel hair spaghetti as a side & it was chewy & undercooked & stuck together in a big clump. I took one bite & sent it all back, needless to say I did not eat that night. After telling others about our experience, at lease 5 other people stated they had the same experience & would not go back. Hopefully, they correct whatever the problem is whether it be the chef or whatever as it used to be a great place to eat, unfortunately I can not say it is now & would not recommend it to anyone. read more

I feel bad because the place is really cozy and nice but there food stinks. I went there once and never again. Why go 3 times to a place when 1 x was enough for me to know that the food is bad. The service I actually got up to get myself a glass of ice water and our silverware and than we ordered wings and they were so sloppy breaded and soaked in hot sauce. I had clams and mussels overlooked tough and not cleaned so they were sandy. Anybody can make spaghetti and deep fry cheese. The servers need a lesson in etiquette on how to waitress . I have had better food and service at bertutccis the chain place but everyone always saying support local business. Well I would I would if it's given me something to support. The food is way overpriced the dishes are incomplete and the food is so sloppily put together was like children that instead of chefs. I just feel like it's the owners fault because he's around his business to run into the ground because they just don't care.
