Hor Mok Seafood in banana leaf

Seafood Hor Mok...you can't compete with that. They are so nice. Customer service is top notch here. I sometimes get the Pad Kee Mao, Pad Se Ew or the any of their fried rices. Love this family owned restaurant.

Friendly, attentive, and kind service. Table seating only, no booths. Small, single stall bathrooms for men and women. Street parking down the block is free or pay to park on the road in front. Wasn't impressed with the food to be honest. I love pad Thai and unfortunately this lacked flavor and kind of bland. You have the choice of spice level up to four and I chose spice level 3 for my prawns pad Thai and didn't feel it was very spicy lol. Nice and quick service but food was lackluster so probably wouldn't return as I prefer other Thai restaurants.

I recently visited Rom Mai Thai and tried their Thai Kee Mao, and it was an absolute treat (could also be because I came back from a long day at the park. That's right across the street The dish was bursting with flavor and spice, perfectly balancing the heat with the savory notes of fresh basil, garlic, and chili. The noodles were cooked to perfection, with a satisfying chew that complemented the vibrant mix of vegetables and tender meat. The generous portion size made it great value for money, and the service was prompt and friendly. If you're looking for a dish that packs a flavorful punch, I highly recommend the Thai Kee Mao at Rom Mai Thai. I'll definitely be back for more!

*partially eaten* lunch combo A (sub pad see ew)

I love Rom Mai Thai. I started coming to this place when I would visit and grab dinner with my friend on the hill. Now that I've moved to the neighborhood, I come here at least 3x a month. Their food is delicious and the portions are a generous size. They don't charge more than most Thai restaurants which I appreciate because food has gotten so expensive these last 2 years. Definitely visit during their lunch hour if you can. My friend and I always order Combo A and substitute the pad Thai for pad see ew. Yes, I said SUBSTITUTE!! I've never had a lunch combo where you could change the item until I started coming here. The staff are all very kind and friendly. This place is truly a neighborhood favorite.

Chicken Pad See Ew

Came here last night with a friend. It was around 7pm on a Thursday, and the restaurant was pretty empty. We were craving Thai food and happened to be in the area, so we decided to come on a whim. The food was pretty good! We ordered the crispy spring rolls to start. They were piping hot and fresh. Slightly on the expensive side though for the size. We ordered pad see ew with chicken and pad kee mao with chicken, both medium spice level. The pad see ew tasted like traditional pad see ew I've had before. It had good flavor and the noodles were thick. The pad kee mao was pretty different than what I expected. Usually pad kee mao is a lot wetter and has a little bit thinner noodles, but these noodles were basically the same as the pad see ew noodles. The flavor was less intense than the pad see ew, so I wasn't the biggest fan, but they were pretty good still. Both of the dishes weren't spicy at all, so if you want spicy, you should probably order extra spicy. Next time, I would order a notch up in spice level. For capitol hill, this place isn't too expensive- the noodles were about $16, and we each paid about $23. For a no frills Thai place, I recommend coming here. I'd probably come back and try some of the other dishes like the fried rice or the curries. They have a pretty expansive menu with other special dishes, too.

Swimming Rama Noodle. To be frank this looks awful, but tastes fantastic

I've walked by this place many times, and always wondered what it would be like. Being forced to stay home, I wanted to explore my lunch options that were close by. At most Thai places, I would use the pad thai as a barometer to see how good the food really is, but the Swimming Rama Noodle really caught my eye. "Noodles, spinach, peanut sauce". It seemed so simple, could it really be good? To be honest with you, those items sound like an awful combo. If I put those three things together, there is NO WAY that they would taste good. I've had a lot of thai food in my life though, and I have faith in the thai cuisine's use of peanuts to make incredible food. I dropped by to secure my lunch, and was greeted with open arms (as a matter of expression I mean... they were incredibly nice, but also respectful of social distancing). After bringing back the food and popping it open, I realized that the presentation was very rough. That being said, there is absolutely no way that you can make this dish look pretty. Whatever, I was just looking to slam a ton of noodles, I didn't care what they looked like. This amalgamation of leafy greens and ultra thick peanut sauce was hearty and satisfying. After taking down this entire meal, there was 0 chance I was finishing any work for the rest of the day. I actually had to take a nap after. Give this place a try!!

Noi Thai Cuisine is where my Thai best friend and I go whenever she is in town! It is one of the…read morebest Thai restaurants in Seattle and is certified as Thai Select which certifies its Thai authenticity. They have locations both in Downtown Seattle and Greenlake, but I have only been to their Downtown Seattle location which has a beautiful view of the Puget Sound. The atmosphere is dark, trendy, and modern- perfect for a date night or nice evening out. While they are a white table cloth, sit-down restaurant, you can dress casually or dress up a bit - both are completely acceptable. This most recent visit I ordered the COCONUT PANANG CURRY with chicken ($25.95) and my friend ordered her favorite dish, SALMON GARLIC FRIED RICE ($28.95). On a past visit, I've had their CLAY POT SHRIMP & GLASS NOODLES (KOONG OB WOONSEN) ($27.95) which was absolutely fantastic and has had me hooked on Pad Woonsen ever since! I saw the COCONUT PANANG CURRY recently in my Instagram feed and knew I had to get it. It is served in a whole coconut (yes a real, fresh coconut!) and comes with a champagne flute of fresh coconut juice from the coconut they hollowed out and a side of Jasmine rice. The curry was rich, flavorful, and full of Thai basil and peppers. The coconut juice was light and refreshing and a great contrast to the thick curry. The SALMON GARLIC FRIED RICE (which I've sampled before), is gigantic, aromatic, and served with a giant grilled garlic butter fillet of salmon on top. The salmon is extremely moist, oily, and bursting with flavor. The rice is fragrant and has garlic paste, red bell pepper, carrots, and green onion. If you're looking for a tasty and protein-packed meal, this is the dish! Parking is honestly tough in this area as it's located on 1st. They have limited street parking and a few paid parking garage options around. I recommend light railing or Ubering here if you're not already in the downtown Seattle area. Service is always great and we always get our food quickly, no matter how crowded they are. The staff also take the time to check up on your table during your meal. Overall: 5/5 for food, 5/5 for service, 5/5 for atmosphere

Everything was solid, but the portions were on the smaller side. Compared to other Thai places, it runs a little pricier without being noticeably better on the food side. Service (5/5): We made a reservation and were seated immediately. The staff were friendly throughout our meal. If you're planning to visit during peak weekend hours, I definitely recommend booking ahead. Overall: It's a great place if you're looking for a nice, modern environment, but you're mostly paying for the upscale setting rather than the food itself.

I even ordered crispy garlic chicken at my typical local Thai restaurant to try to re-live the magic and all it did was make me miss Fern Thai even more. When entering they had a live keyboardist and singer playing Valerie which I was a fan of. We stopped in at 10pm on a week night and were sat right away and service was prompt and friendly. We chose fried calamari for an appetizer which was super delicious. My boyfriend thought the sauce that came with the calamari was too spicy for his liking but for me it was super sweet and paired perfectly with the calamari. We enjoyed the appetizer thoroughly and I would say it was my favorite part of the meal. My man ordered his favorite Thai dish Panang chicken Curry spice level 1. He said his meal was delicious but big portion so we both took to go our leftovers. I tried the curry and it was super tasty. I ordered my go to prawns Pad Thai and chose spice level 3. The Pad Thai was delicious and large portion but level 3 was not spicy at all so if you love spicy like me choose above level 3. Not the best Pad Thai I've ever had being honest but still yummy especially for late night. Definitely a great late night choice with large portions!
